Chapter 1 - chapter 1 The stubborn Sylic

Chapter 1

In the land of mythical creatures, demi-gods peacefully coexist. This land is hidden from the mortal realm, a beautiful domain that mirrors the elegance of heaven. A grand, shrine-like castle stands tall, constructed from ethereal materials not seen in the mortal world.

On a peaceful night, two moons glow brightly in the sky, casting an enchanting light that fills the land with a unique, serene atmosphere.

In the heart of this tranquil kingdom, resides Vaelzareth, the Demon-God Lord. His presence is overwhelming, his aura powerful, and his figure majestic. Vaelzareth is a tall, muscular figure dressed in royal robes with a dark green and white trim, his long, slightly wavy hair cascading down his back. His almond-shaped eyes hold a deep, intense gaze, while his sharp nose and kissable lips enhance his captivating features. His ivory skin glows, and a crystal forehead adornment sparkles as a symbol of his status. His body is marked by intricate tattoos, including one that rests proudly on his shoulder, a symbol of his strength and heritage.

Vaelzareth sits on his royal throne, designed like a peacock's tail, exuding an aura of unmatched power and control.

Meanwhile, his son, Sylric, sneaks through the halls, attempting to make his way back to his room. Sylric, a prince of their land, looks strikingly similar to Vaelzareth but with subtle differences. His royal attire is a variation of his father's, the same cut but in shades that reflect his youth and personality. His emerald-colored eyes are a mirror of Vaelzareth's, though his face retains a youthful softness.

As Sylric reaches for the door, he suddenly feels the presence of his father behind him, the demonic aura surrounding Vaelzareth. He stops, his throat tightens as he swallows nervously, and turns to face his father, who is glaring at him with a deadly gaze.

Moments later, Vaelzareth's voice echoes through the hall, booming with authority, "Kneel!" The force of his command shakes the air, and even the creators outside feel the reverberation.

Sylric drops to his knees, his emerald hair disheveled.

Vaelzareth, furious yet worried, demands, "You didn't ask permission before leaving! I sent scouts to search for you! Where have you gone? Don't you know how dangerous it is to go alone?"

Just then, Nytheris, Vaelzareth's beloved partner and Sylric's other father, enters the scene. Nytheris is a beautiful demi-god with a serene and feminine presence, his white hair flowing like silk. His ethereal dress catches the light as he approaches. With a soft voice, he asks, "Darling... Sylric! Where have you been?" His gentle tone contrasts Vaelzareth's harsh one.

Vaelzareth, still angry, retorts, "We were so worried! You didn't even tell us where you were going!"

Sylric, trembling but maintaining his calm, stammers, "I went to the mortal realm…"

Vaelzareth's anger flares, his voice rising, "The mortal realm?! Didn't I forbid you from going there? Don't you understand how dangerous it is?"

Nytheris looks worried as well but remains silent for a moment, his eyes softening before he steps forward to comfort Sylric, wrapping his arms around him. "Please, let's talk calmly about this, love."

But Vaelzareth is relentless, his protective instincts rising. "I gave birth to him! Step aside!" He lifts his hand, sending a surge of magical energy that knocks Nytheris off his feet, leaving him to stand facing the wall as a form of silent punishment.

Sylric remains kneeling, his head low. But when Vaelzareth discovers that Nytheris had also visited the mortal realm, the situation takes a turn. Nytheris gathers his courage and approaches Vaelzareth, looking into his eyes, and speaks with genuine concern. "Please, love, let's talk. Communicate with us—let us understand why you feel this way."

Vaelzareth's face softens, and after a moment, the tension dissipates. Nytheris and Sylric both embrace him, the three of them united in a rare, emotional moment. "We love you, please, just tell us," they plead, both of them in tears.

After a few hours, Vaelzareth sighs deeply, his voice filled with a somber tone as he reveals his past. "My parents were killed by mortals."

Nytheris is shocked, unable to hide his disbelief. "But they were mortal…"

Vaelzareth nods, his face hardening. "Mortals can use magic, and that's what led to my parents' deaths. It's been a long time, but the pain of losing them still haunts me. I don't want to lose either of you like I lost them."

Sylric, though deeply moved, still speaks up with a compassionate tone. "But, Dad… I believe there are good mortals too. Not all of them are bad."

Vaelzareth's anger flares again. "No! You don't understand! They're greedy, and they'll even harm their own kind!"

Nytheris, sensing the rising tension, gently embraces Vaelzareth. "Sylric is right. There is good in everyone, even mortals."

Vaelzareth sighs, trying to calm his rage, but still, his fears are deep-rooted. "I lost my parents to their greed. I fear for both of you, and I don't want to risk that again."

After a while, Nytheris kisses Vaelzareth's cheek, trying to soothe him. "Let's take this one step at a time, love. Let's not let our fears control us."

Sylric, meanwhile, leaves them to talk, retreating to his room. He sits by his treasure chest, the soft light of the moons illuminating his face. His small creature companion, a fox named Foxie, emerges from the chest, sensing the prince's troubled mood.

Foxie floats beside Sylric, offering a comforting thought. "Your father's hatred of mortals is understandable, given his past."

Sylric sighs, his voice tinged with frustration. "I understand why he feels that way, but I still don't know why mortals kill immortals. I want to believe there are good humans out there…"

Foxie, hovering nearby, explains, "Mortal beings can wield magic, and some of them are blessed by certain gods with powers that can harm even immortals."

Sylric nods slowly, deep in thought, beginning to understand the complexity of the mortal realm.

Back in the royal chambers, Vaelzareth and Nytheris share an intimate moment. Nytheris's tears fall as they kiss, the weight of their worries settling between them.

Nytheris pulls away slightly, a soft but serious expression on his face. "I think it's time we take action in the mortal realm, don't you think?"

Vaelzareth smirks, his jealousy flaring. "Don't bring up other matters while we're… occupied."

Nytheris smiles mischievously, wrapping his arms around Vaelzareth's neck as their kiss deepens.
