The heavens shook in fury.
The once-glorious celestial battlefield was now a scene of absolute carnage. The bodies of fallen Divine Lords lay scattered across the shattered sky, their golden blood staining the clouds. The unimaginable had happened—Xiao Lan, a so-called mortal, had slain the gods.
And yet, the battle was far from over.
"You dare!" Lord Tianxu roared, his divine armor cracked, his face twisted with a mix of rage and disbelief. "You—just a mortal—have defied the heavens!"
Xiao Lan stood tall, unfazed. His black robes were torn, his Abyssal Demonbane Sword hummed with power, and his crimson eyes gleamed with unrelenting arrogance. He slowly wiped the blood off his blade and smirked.
"Mortal?" His voice carried boundless disdain. "Who told you I'm still a mortal?"
BOOM!
The air around him distorted, the very laws of the universe trembling at his presence. A strange energy radiated from his body—something beyond divine, beyond demonic. It was as if he had transcended both.
The remaining six Divine Lords hesitated.
"He… he's evolving," one of them muttered in fear. "He's no longer bound by mortal limitations!"
Xiao Lan took a step forward, and space itself cracked beneath his feet.
Lord Tianxu clenched his fists, divine energy surging around him. "We will not allow an abomination like you to exist!"
He lifted his Celestial Spear, divine inscriptions glowing on its surface. "Heavenly Law—Divine Retribution!"
BOOM!
A pillar of pure celestial energy descended from the heavens, carrying the wrath of the Supreme Celestial Emperor himself. The attack was enough to obliterate entire universes—there was no escape.
But—
Xiao Lan did not dodge.
Instead, he raised his sword, his expression unreadable. The dark energy surrounding him pulsed violently, then—
SLASH!
With a single swing—the celestial attack split apart.
The gods staggered back in horror.
"He… he cut through the judgment of the heavens?!"
Lord Tianxu's expression twisted. "Impossible! That power belongs only to—!"
BOOM!
A massive explosion of dark and celestial energy erupted around Xiao Lan. His entire body was engulfed in radiant darkness, his presence becoming something beyond divine, beyond demonic—beyond reality itself.
The sky trembled.
And then—his voice echoed like a divine decree.
"I am no longer bound by heaven's rules." His crimson and golden eyes gleamed, his aura drowning out the celestial light.
"I am no longer a mortal… nor am I a god."
"I am something greater."
The Divine Lords felt fear for the first time in their existence.
Lord Tianxu took a step back. "This... this is not possible. No being should have such power!"
Xiao Lan vanished.
A second later—
SHING!
Lord Tianxu's arm flew into the air, severed cleanly by Xiao Lan's blade. The god howled in pain, stumbling backward.
The remaining Divine Lords turned to flee.
But Xiao Lan raised his hand—and the sky itself locked them in place.
"You came to kill me. Now, face the consequences."
BOOM!
With a flick of his sword—the heavens split apart.
The war between mortal and divine had ended.
And the heavens… had lost.
