Chapter 4 - Just My Obsessive First Love

Chapter Four

The Writer~

My heart is beating so loudly inside my chest that I am almost certain that everyone in the bar can hear it. And all of a sudden I feel so drunk and my brain is so mushy. Her eyes are so pretty… so terrifyingly obsessing. I feel like she is binding me in some sort of spell and I am utterly enamored by her to do anything about it.

Her dark eyes are so gorgeous, so fucking breathtaking that I am losing my mind just by looking at them.

I want to reach out and touch her, to see if she is real, that I am not dreaming and she will fade away any moment.

My eyes rake over her body, my gaze is so intense and personal that I can feel them touch every inch of her body as I soak her in. I think she is an inch longer than the last time I saw her eight years ago. She is maybe around twenty-four now. She looks more like a woman than a girl now.

She is more beautiful, more perfect than what I remember her to be. There is still that fading, yet prominent mark on her forehead that I can see through the thick stands of hair. Her rabbit teeth are still there. And her body….

I gulp down the knot forming in my throat. My heart is thundering in my ears and my stomach starts to swirl. Her breasts have grown at least another three inches. And her hips…

Good lords… did she become sexier over the years?

I wonder how those soft curves will feel beneath my touch. What face will she make?

My breathing gets heavier and labored. As my eyes go back to hers. Her face contrasts her body so well… She is still staring at me, just like I am soaking her in.

But her trance breaks as the girl beside her nudges her. Keith's distinct voice pulls me into the earth as well.

"What are you looking at?" He asks, "Let's go inside. There is an empty table inside."

Owen is already making his way to the table. My mind scrolls through what I have to do now. I want to talk with her. I have to speak to her. I don't think I can go any minute longer than hearing her voice when she is sitting just a few feet away from me.

"I just need to do something." I don't take my eyes off her as I speak to Keith, "I will join you guys later."

"Alright." Keith starts to walk to the table Owen is sitting at, "Make it fast."

I take a breath in and then out before I reach into my pocket and pull out my wallet. I fish out a hundred bucks and walk over to her stool. I am standing right behind her as I gently drop the money off on the countertop in front of her.

Her attention is instantly turned to me and she spins around.

Oh God… she looks even more gorgeous and perfect up close.

"Excuse me?" The girl beside her, around her age, raises an eyebrow at me, "Why did you drop the money here?" She has dark brown eyes and equally dark hair. She is a little chubby. And by her attitude, she is feisty.

"Ana…" She speaks softly, making my breath hitch. Her voice is so soft, so adorable… Her eyes focus on me as she says, "You are the guy from the subway, eight years ago, aren't you?" She smiles warmly at me.

I think I have fallen for her all over again just now, "Yes." I return her smile, maybe not as dazzling as hers, not as wide as her, but I do and it is the most genuine smile I have ever given someone.

She blinks, once, twice, her eyelashes fluttering with the motion. She is genuinely surprised. I wonder how many there are on her eyelids. I wonder how many small beauty spots are there in her body aside from the one on her throat and another one on her collarbone.

"You can talk?" There is surprise in her eyes, "I thought you were mute."

I chuckle softly, resisting my urge to pinch her cheek, "I can." I reply, "I just chose not to. Thanks for your help that night anyway. But how did you know that I need help?" This is the question, I have been dying to ask her since that night.

She chuckles, making my heart flutter, "You were looking like you were about to cry. This is why it felt right to help you."

I nod, "Now, I have returned you the thing I owe you." So, now give me back the thing you took from me. No, you can keep it. In return give me yours. "So may I have the honor to know the name of my savior?" Everyone starts to fade away as I focus on her and only her. How she breaths, how her lips move when she talks, how her leashes flutter…everything.

She grins and I want to kiss her senseless. "It's Mimi, Mimi Volkov."

I hope I am not bleeding. Because just standing in her presence is making my body heat up so much that I want to lose my mind. And over that, she has such a fucking beautiful name.

"What about yours?" Mimi asks, "You know, you should also give your name when you ask someone for theirs."

"Right." I press my lips, "Kyler Ashford."

I know this is the end of my little conversation with her by the loo the girl beside Mimi—Ana and the guy a seat away from her is giving me. I hate that she has company.

"So I will see you around then." And I mean it.

She nods, "Right." She spins around.

I approach the table my brothers are occupying and I slide down beside Owen.

"Who were you talking to?" Owen looks over his shoulder to look at Mimi.

"Just a known face," I answer simply.

Just my obsessive first love.
