Chapter 1 - Chapter 2: First Kill, First Step

The moment the system message appeared in my mind, I knew—I wasn't just watching anymore.

I was the swordsman.

I stepped forward, my fingers instinctively wrapping around the hilt of a rusted blade one of the fallen goblins had dropped. The weight felt natural, as if I had trained with it my entire life.

"Oi, raul! What are you doing? Stay back!" Hiro shouted, slicing through a goblin with his dagger.

I ignored him.

Another goblin lunged at me, its jagged knife aimed at my throat. My body moved on its own. **Perfect form. Perfect reaction.** I sidestepped with precision and slashed in one smooth motion.

**SHLICK.**

The goblin's head flew off before it even realized it was dead.

Silence.

I exhaled slowly, feeling my pulse steady. That was… easy. Too easy.

**[EXP Gained]**

A small notification popped up in my mind, but I pushed it aside. I had more important things to test.

Hiro and the other students were staring at me.

"The hell…?" one of them muttered.

Hiro narrowed his eyes. "You told us you never trained before. That was no amateur move."

I simply looked at him, not bothering to explain. What would I say? *Oh yeah, I have an ability that lets me instantly master any skill I see, even better than the strongest experts?* Yeah, no.

Instead, I turned back to the battlefield.

More goblins were pouring out from the shadows, their eyes glowing with malice. I gripped my sword tighter.

*Time to test something else.*

I glanced at one of the archers in our group—a B-Rank student named Ayaka. She raised her bow and fired an arrow, striking a goblin's eye with pinpoint accuracy.

The moment I saw her fire, my mind buzzed.

[Skill Observed: **Precision Archery**]

[Reproducing Skill… 100%]

[Skill Mastered: **Precision Archery**]

I let out a slow breath. **It worked.**

I bent down and picked up a goblin's crude bow. The wood was rough, the string weak, but that didn't matter. I nocked an arrow and aimed.

Everything felt… clear. The trajectory, the wind, the perfect moment to release. I didn't think—I just **knew.**

**TWANG!**

The arrow whistled through the air and embedded itself in a goblin's forehead.

Dead.

The room fell silent again.

Ayaka turned to look at me, her brow furrowing.

"…Since when could you use a bow?" she asked suspiciously.

I shrugged. "Lucky shot."

Hiro scoffed. "Yeah, right."

I didn't care what they thought. All I cared about was one thing—**this ability was completely overpowered.**

I looked around the battlefield, my eyes scanning every movement, every technique. Each time a hunter used a skill, I **copied it.**

**Dagger Arts. Copied.**

**Stealth Movement. Copied.**

**Reinforced Strength. Copied.**

I wasn't just some weak E-Rank. I was a monster in the making.

And this was just the beginning.
