The journey to the Dragon Mountains was long and exhausting. Iris, Selena, and the royal army marched tirelessly, knowing that the inevitable confrontation was drawing closer. The cold wind howled through the valleys, and the mountain peaks loomed darkly in the distance. Each step they took seemed to bring them closer to an unstoppable fate.
Iris couldn't help but reflect on everything that had led him to this moment. His mind was briefly overwhelmed by doubt, but he quickly shook it off. There was no time for hesitation now.
As they neared the base of the mountains, the atmosphere grew heavier, as if the land itself had frozen in place. The silence around them was unnatural, as if the world itself was holding its breath.
"This is it..." Iris whispered as he stared at the dark mountains before him.
As they continued, the ground beneath their feet began to shift, and the air was charged with an eerie electrical current. Although the mountain paths seemed ordinary, every step hinted at something massive and dark hiding within.
Then, suddenly, a massive gate appeared, looming like a living nightmare. It was made of smooth black stone, emitting faint rays of strange light that resembled flames.
"This is the entrance... to the Dragon's Lair," said the royal army commander, nervously glancing at the gate. "But entering will be dangerous. The dragon hiding here is no ordinary beast. It is a destructive force."
Iris gripped the Dragon Slayer sword tightly, which glimmered faintly in the dim light. "I'm not just here for a fight. I'm here to end it. I have to face this monster and destroy it before it destroys everything."
Iris walked slowly toward the gate, with Selena by his side, though her heart raced with every step. She felt the weight of what was coming, but her trust in Iris gave her the strength to keep going.
As they neared the entrance, the ground suddenly trembled beneath them, and a massive door opened before them, leading deep into the mountain. Black smoke poured from the lair, and the ground ignited with strange fire as the dragon's roar echoed through the air.
"We've arrived..." Selena whispered, feeling the intensity of the danger surrounding them. "But are we really prepared to face this beast?"
Iris looked at her with confidence, despite the pain he felt. "Yes, we're ready. There's no turning back now."
As they entered the lair, Iris could feel the presence of the dragon surrounding them. The ground shook beneath their feet, and the strange lights flickered in every direction. Now, all they had to do was move forward.
The Dragon's Lair was cloaked in darkness, but at its heart, there was only one light: the victory over the dragon.
