The beasts lunged at Ares with blinding speed, leaving him no time to think—only to react. He swiftly dodged the razor-sharp claws that nearly tore into him, then turned to strike one of the creatures with his sword.
But before his attack could land, the beast moved with astonishing agility, leaping to the side.
Ares (shocked): "They're too fast!"
This wasn't an ordinary fight. These creatures were different—their intelligence far surpassed any beast he had encountered before.
One of them suddenly lunged from behind, aiming to sink its fangs into Ares' shoulder. But he rolled swiftly across the ground, narrowly avoiding the attack. The moment he got back on his feet, he took advantage of the opening, slashing at one of the creatures' legs, making it howl in pain and collapse.
But the rest didn't falter—they only grew more ferocious.
Mysterious Figure (with a smirk): "Not bad, but that won't be enough."
He raised his hand, and suddenly, the beasts halted their assault for a moment. Then, as if receiving a silent command, they stepped back slightly, forming a tight circle around Ares.
Ares (tense): "They're planning something… I can't let them control the pace of this fight!"
Without hesitation, he dashed toward the nearest beast, attempting to eliminate it before they could coordinate their next move. But in that instant, the entire battlefield shifted.
The beasts began to emit deep, menacing growls, their bodies starting to change… Their fangs lengthened, their claws thickened, and their eyes burned with an even fiercer intensity.
Ares (anxious): "They're… evolving?!"
This was a battle he wouldn't win easily. In fact, he might not survive it at all.
