Chapter 4 - chapter 4

Ellis stood shocked by the scene in front of him.

The wolf was fiercely biting Tanvi's legs with its sharp teeth. Witnessing this, Ellis, in a cold voice, said, "Let's go." Without looking back, he walked out of the prison, followed by the forest officers, who were puzzled by his sudden departure. Confused but without questioning, they followed him outside.

Meanwhile, Tanvi was in excruciating pain. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to sit up by pressing her hands on the floor. Her eyes fixed on the wolf, who was still biting her legs. Summoning her courage, she placed her hand on the wolf's shoulder and lifted his face with her other hand. The wolf glared back at her with a dangerous expression.

In the next moment, a tear from Tanvi's eyes dropped onto the wolf's eyes. Instantly, the wolf calmed down. Gradually, he began transforming back into a human. In the end, he collapsed unconscious with his head resting on Tanvi's lap.

Tanvi couldn't comprehend what was happening, but she was too weak to push him away. Her legs were numb from the pain, and blood was soaking the floor beneath her.

After some time, Bhairav slowly opened his eyes and looked at Tanvi. He remained in her lap, but seeing her trembling with fear, he sat up. Overwhelmed by guilt, he lifted Tanvi in his arms. As he noticed her blood-soaked legs, his heart sank.

Carrying her to a nearby table, Bhairav gently placed her down. He ran his hand over her injured legs, but Tanvi cried out in pain, clenching her eyes shut.

Seeing her agony, Bhairav placed a finger on her lips and softly whispered into her ear, "Shush..."

Saying this, he walked away. Moments later, he returned with a small clay pot in his hands. Bringing it close to her mouth, he gestured for her to drink.

Tanvi, with tear-filled eyes and trembling in fear, stared at the small pot. It contained water, and Bhairav silently urged her to drink it.

Seeing this, Tanvi nervously took the pot and started drinking the water.

After finishing, she handed the pot back to Bhairav, who placed it aside and suddenly embraced her tightly.

Tanvi was utterly confused. Just moments ago, this creature had brutally hurt her, and now he was holding her as if he genuinely cared, as if he loved her deeply.

The thought made her angry, but strangely, she couldn't bring herself to be mad at him. There was an inexplicable connection she felt with this man—or perhaps this human beast.

Lost in these thoughts, she kept looking at Bhairav. Meanwhile, Bhairav gently stroked her back, then lifted her into his arms. He carried her to the place where he usually sat and settled down with her cradled in his arms.

The warmth of his embrace comforted Tanvi, and she rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes. In a soft voice, she murmured, "My legs hurt a lot... and they're burning too."

Hearing this, Bhairav looked at her legs and began gently massaging them with his hands. The soothing touch provided her some relief, but suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach.

She immediately lifted her head from his chest and looked at his face. At the same moment, Bhairav also looked at her face. Tanvi, with tears in her eyes, brought her face closer to his, rubbing her small lips, and said, "I'm so hungry. I haven't eaten anything since morning. I'm starving. Is there food here?"

Hearing her, Bhairav gently lifted her from his lap and sat her down. He looked around and spotted a thin blanket, which wasn't thick but would be useful against the cold. He picked it up, shook it to remove the dirt, and brought it back to her.

Bhairav wrapped the blanket around her like a child, making Tanvi feel warmth. She looked at him innocently.

Bhairav then walked a little distance toward a clay pot, where he noticed a cloth covering a pot. Underneath, there were several fruits and raw meat.

He picked up a large piece of meat, put it in his mouth, and approached Tanvi. Holding it out to her, he seemed to silently say, "Eat this."

Tanvi thought to herself that he probably couldn't speak well, just a few words, and being an animal, he likely didn't know how to speak properly. But how could she eat raw meat?

Seeing her hesitation, she pushed the piece away from him and said, "This is raw. You don't eat it like this."

Bhairav looked at her strangely. Feeling his gaze, Tanvi quickly tried to move closer to him, but she realized that she couldn't walk. Her legs were still in pain.

Seeing this, Bhairav immediately scooped her up in his arms, wrapped her in the blanket, and gazed into her eyes. A small smile appeared on Tanvi's face as she rested her head against his chest.

"Let's go find some girls and roast it. We can eat it," Tanvi said softly.

Hearing this, Bhairav took the piece of meat, shoved it in his mouth, and devoured it in one bite. Watching him, Tanvi puffed her cheeks and said, "I was so hungry. I wanted to roast it and eat it."

Bhairav didn't respond. He carried her back to the spot, where he unwrapped the cloth from the pot. Inside, there was more meat and fruits.

Tanvi's eyes lit up, and she looked around. She noticed a lot of firewood scattered on the ground, not yet chopped. She quickly said, "Over there, let's gather all the firewood." Hearing this, Bhairav stood up and moved toward the pile, collecting all the wood. He placed Tanvi on one shoulder while using his other hand to gather the firewood, bringing it back and setting it down in the center. Tanvi, looking around, said, "Now we need to light the fire."

Bhairav didn't understand what she meant; he had never lit a fire before and didn't know how to do it.

Tanvi understood and told him to let her down. She quickly pulled a matchbox from her jacket pocket and said, "Good thing I kept this with me. It'll come in handy."

With that, Tanvi quickly gathered some dry leaves and used them to start the fire. Seeing the flames, Bhairav became very scared and instinctively moved away from it. Noticing his fear, Tanvi gestured for him to come closer. She spread her arms out to him, trying to reassure him that there was no need to be scared.

Bhairav, hearing her gentle call, crawled toward her quickly and embraced her. Tanvi, sitting in his lap, added more firewood to the flames, saying, "You don't need to be afraid. It won't hurt us unless we get too close or it touches us."

With that, she took a large piece of meat and skewered it with a stick, placing it carefully in the fire. Excitedly, she said, "Now the food will taste amazing."

After saying this, she settled comfortably in Bhairav's lap, and he too made sure she was seated securely, holding her carefully in his arms.

After waiting for a while, Tanvi tried to reach into the fire to pull out the meat, but her hand got burned, and she cried out in pain, holding her injured hand. Seeing this, Bhairav gently took her small, delicate hand in his and kissed it. Then, with a swift motion, he pulled the meat out of the fire and set it aside.

Tanvi, looking at her hand, said, "It hurts a lot, my legs and my hand... I'm hungry too."

She picked up the piece of meat, which was quite large, but knowing she couldn't eat it all, she took half and started eating. When she was full, she looked at Bhairav and said, "I want to save some for tomorrow, so I can eat it then."

Bhairav understood and took the remaining piece of meat, eating it himself. Tanvi made a face and said, "You're an animal, how can you eat human food like that? You eat it raw." Bhairav didn't respond. Instead, he embraced her and lay down next to her. Seeing his actions, Tanvi felt a bit of affection for him. She rested her head on Bhairav's chest and wrapped one arm around his waist.

She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

It was the time of the moonlit night, and outside, Alice and the other forest officers stood. One forest officer said, "By now, that girl must be dead. Her bones might not even be left."

Alice replied, "That might be true. I need to see her body or her bones. Let's go inside. Anyway, that girl had the courage to try and destroy my eyes, but now she must have destroyed herself."

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

He laughed loudly, and even the animals around fled in fear. The forest officers and the police were also frightened.

After a while, Alice and one forest officer entered the area. Upon entering, they stopped in their tracks in shock because in front of them, the two were sleeping peacefully, wrapped in each other's embrace.

Tanvi's small body was curled up in Bhairav's large body, and Bhairav had completely covered her with himself.

Seeing this, Alice became extremely angry, gritting his teeth. He said, "That's it! Now, we'll kill both of them. It's enough, the time has come to deal with them." Saying this, he walked out, adding, "Start preparing to deal with them, or send that girl to me tomorrow. After using her for one night, we'll kill her. She's so weak, she might die in bed anyway."

With that, he walked out. Meanwhile, Tanvi, who had woken up hearing the footsteps, hadn't actually been asleep. She felt a strange unease in Bhairav's arms, which is why she hadn't been able to sleep. Hearing their conversation, she became terrified. She now understood that staying here wasn't free of dangers. She had realized how dangerous Alice was, and how innocent Bhairav truly was. He was kept captive and made to do who knows what.

Thinking about all this, she tightly hugged Bhairav, gently placing her hand on his cheek, patting it softly. "Wake up, wake up, Bhairav, wake up," she said.

Hearing this, Bhairav immediately woke up, hugging her tightly, trying to pull her closer, as though trying to become one with her. Realizing this, Tanvi said, "Look, we have to escape from here. Can we get away from here?"

Understanding her words, Bhairav picked her up in his arms, breaking the chains around him. He then jumped over the large boundary wall, leaving Tanvi completely shocked. She couldn't believe how easily he had broken free.

She was completely stunned as they ran through the forest together.

Meanwhile, Alice, furious, entered the jail with his hunter in hand and said, "I can't wait any longer. I need that girl now!"

Saying this, he started looking around, but he couldn't see either Bhairav or Tanvi. He was shocked and, in anger, screamed for everyone to come. His bodyguards, police, and forest officers all arrived.

Meanwhile, Tanvi, looking back, said, "So, they must have found out. Hurry, let's go, please hurry, or they'll kill us."

Saying this, Tanvi hugged him even tighter, terrified. She didn't want to die.

Bhairav, meanwhile, was running swiftly. His form had now changed, and he was half wolf and half human.

Tanvi was very scared, but she had come to realize that Bhairav posed no danger to her.
