Chapter 3 - Missing their parents

As they were chatting, Zack came back to give reports to Liam.

Boss, the reporters have been settled. He reported.

That's good. Liam said while stretching his hands towards Zack, the car keys?

Yes boss, here you go?

Zack left with the bodyguards to enter another car.

As Liam, Stacy and April entered the same car, as they set to go home. They planned to have dinner together to celebrate April's graduation not even knowing that she would receive any award.

Fifty minutes later, they got home.

Entering into a big mansion compound filled with flowers of different kinds and the inviting scents from them. Liam parked the car as they came down, a woman was running from inside the building. As soon as she set her eyes on April she immediately gave her a big hug while kissing her cheeks.

I'm so proud of you April, as she was smiling from ear to ear. She kept stroking April's hair and adoring her.

When Stacy caught a sight of this she said; wow mom, I can't believe you just disowned your own daughter with your actions.

As Kingsley Perry waited patiently for her daughter to come to her side before she stretched her hands to tap Stacy's shoulder,

can you stop being jealous, she's your cousin and your sister too, behave yourself. She ordered.

Stacy immediately laughed at her mother's reaction to what she said, mom, I was only joking you know that, She scoffed.

Perry rolled her eyes at her.

Lets go in already, dinner is almost ready, Kingsley Perry said.

As they all went in, going into their rooms to wash up before dinner is ready. April hugged Perry again as she smiled before going in with her awards.

When she got to her room, she began to stare at her awards while smiling, she then remembered to take a selfie with the award as she laid them on her reading table. She then took out her phone to take the picture with a cute hand love sign.

Few minutes later, they all were ready to eat dinner, as they descended from the stairs towards the dining room with smiles, April and Stacy were running towards the dining table to see the dishes the chef prepared. They wowed as they were drooling while staring at the food.

They all settled down as Liam raised a wine glass to toast.

This is a toast to April; congratulations on receiving the awards and graduating as the overall best in the department. Congratulations! they all raised their glasses while cheering.

At the dining table, Perry's husband; Alan Gilbert was absent as he doesn't really care about what's going on at the house. He often comes back late after dinner.

His wife would often wait for him to come back so she could attend to his needs.

While chatting, April became a little sad as she bowed her head, Liam looked at April with a worried gaze,

April, is everything okay? Why aren't eating your food?

Brother, how do you think mother and father would feel at this moment? I mean I just graduated and I received two awards at the same time. Are they going to be proud of me?

The question came out suddenly as Liam wasn't expecting that.

I can't believe they couldn't witness our achievements. I feel so bad that I can't remember them. April said.

You don't need to feel bad April, Liam said.

You were too young to remember. And don't think about how they'll feel, because they were good people. Our parent will always be proud of you.

While Liam was saying all these things to make his sister feel better, he also felt sad but his expression wasn't showing it as he was able to cover it up. He missed their parent. He vividly remembered the memories of their relationship and how much they love each other.

As all this were going on between the brother and sister Perry and the her daughter too weren't left out as Perry also missed her brother and her sweet sister-in-law. Liam's mother has always been good to her, she thought her most of the things she knew now.

While everyone at the dining table was having the nostalgic moment, someone unexpected came in at the unusual time. They didn't expect him to be back by that time as it was already known to everyone.
