A few of the younger officers ran out of the meeting room. Shinwa could only sit back and sigh as he was in charge of the SBG. Shouts echoed through the vast marble hallways. Yuan ran through one of the mobility alleyways into the dimly lit Exploration Brigade's "living room". Running into the entrance of the main chamber, Yuan called out to the lower ranking explorers.
"SGB is down! I want everyone in my division up and coordinating with the Logistics and Arms Brigade."
A few underclassmen who had dozed off at their work station jolted up. From the upper levels, Yuan could hear the generals and senior officers roaring life into their divisions.
Hana!
Yuan had to go calm her. He couldn't bear thinking about her worrying about his safety. The noise would definitely wake the whole kingdom up, whether they liked it or not, there was no turning back.
"Kipor, establish connections with the other Brigades! Gather as much info you can on the SGB, we will be heading there as soon as possible. Listen to the General. I'm going to wake Hana."
Yuan ran back out, running across the decorative bridge that overlooked a massive artificial ravine that descended miles into the surface of the planet. Across the ravine, he could see the flames from other, larger bridges. There was fierce shouting and one of the larger inhabitants began a mating call, only this time, it was to wake up the whole kingdom. Yuan took a few turns in the empty hallways and passed the groggy security guard stationed outside his dorm community.
"Tokada! It's the dynasty."
Yuan passed through the intricately carved wooden doors and ran past countless dorms into his house. Hana slept peacefully, having been reassured previously that the meeting Yuan was summoned to was not that disastrous. Seeing her, Yuan's heart began throbbing more, along with the run home, Yuan could only embrace Hana lovingly. At the moment from outside, a projected voice rang.
"This is the Central Command Bridge. Red Emblem alert. All governmental workers, military personnel, and auxiliary, report to your designated stations. This is the Central Command Bridge."
Red mist, infused with energy pheromones began flooding the Kingdom, ensuring that even the beasts that fell into great slumber would be awakened. Echoes of the message rang like bells.
"Hana. It's the dynasty. They've wandered upon one of our colonies. Th-"
"Yuan, that must mean they have… warp amulets".
Even in her most vulnerable state, Hana's mind was still as sharp as ever. Yuan only held her closer.
"Yes, they do. I'm sure we will be mobilizing tomorrow. Come with me. We've got to get back the the Brigade Chamber"
Together, they ran out, as did many others, on that night. There was a stampede to the main Kingdom plaza. Yuan could feel a rumble beneath him. The titan beast family beneath him had also woken and were likely heading for the massive transportation tunnels beneath.
The path that Yuan had run back was now crowded to the brim. Many resorted to riding on their winged neighbors across the ravine.
"Yuan! Hana! I can carry you two over! There's no time to waste!"
It was Yuan's winged neighbor, Han, a large Pterarsida.
"No better time!"
Yuan replied.
Together, they hopped on and flew across. Landing safely, Yuan and Hana hopped off, leaving a small home-made treat for Han.
The chamber was now full. Everyone was crowding around a central display. It was an emissary from the native species that resided near the SGB. They were receiving real time updates. More dynasty forces had arrived. Little was known on whether the dynasty had suspected this was an enemy colony as most of the evidence had already been destroyed.
At least hopefully. Any other scenario could mean the discovery of the Stronghold Kingdom. And that was the last thing Yuan wanted at that moment.
