An arrow was approaching both the young girl and kent at an incredibly speed. They were still trying to re adjust themselves to the situation as they tried to turn towards where the noise came from but suddenly the arrow arrived at the very face of the girl.
"W-what the h—"
She didn't have time to continue her thought as she quickly adjusted her face to the side making the arrow only pierce through her cheek.
"Tch, I guess they have found me uh?" The young girl said as blood sipped out from her wound endlessly
She was hurt
She had managed to tilt her head to the side changing her vision completely in just half a second before the arrow could reach her. If she wasn't fast enough she knew she will most likely be dead.
"Uh, is that boy okay?." The girl suddenly shouted as she turned her head towards where kent was formerly standing.
But she was bound to be surprised
kent was already a few steps away from where he was. He was completely surprised by the fast approaching arrow coming towards him but he had remembered he had superhuman speed. He quickly dodged towards his right before the arrow could hit him.
"what... how did he get there so fast. i could hardly even dodge the attack fast enough but he is already a few steps away from where he was before." the girl was completely dumbstruck by what she was seeing.
"could he have been hiding the fact that he has powers" the girls mind was full of different questions but was interrupted by kent.
"Hey focus, we are not alone here."
The girl slowly regained her focus and looked at kents face which had a slight frown. She could easily see he was worried.
Then suddenly 3 men wearing completely black clothes and cloak with a strange mask on walked into the ruined bar.
They had a very menacing presence and their mask was full with weird symbols.
"what... its them, suddenly the girl shouted her face visibly showing extreme shock, they are the auxilliaries.
"hmm, it seems the girl knows us." one of the men who just came said with a very deep voice
"Haha, who doesn't know of us in all the west." another one of the three men said.
"Do you know them?." kent asked with a curious tone as he looked towards the young girl.
"of course. who doesn't know of them. They are one of the strongest groups if not even the strongest in all of the east." the girl said still with a shocked expression on her face , The last i heard of them people said they were all in High rank stage 1.
Kents eyebrow furrowed. The way she spoke of them proved that they were not your average people. They were most likely very strong.
Then suddenly one of the men who wore a dark cloak approached them
He walked towards them without any hesitation.
"stop there!" the girl suddenly shouted as she noticed the man coming towards she and kent.
The man didn't stop walking but rather increased his walking pace
"stop or i will break it."
Immediately the man who was walking suddenly stopped in his tracks as he heard this. Then he spoke out
"so you know why we are here, uh"
The mans voice was rather calm compared to the other two of his comrades.
"well since you know it does not matter. Hand over the spark." the man said with a calm yet authoritative voice.
"I will not hand it over no matter what." This time it was the girl who spoke. She had sweat dripping all over her head. she was obviously scared but she still tried to hide it.
"hmm, so you are wiling to die for it, uh" one of the other men spoke out joining in the discussion.
Kent who was seeing this didn't say anything rather he watched. He was waiting for an opportunity to run away from here with the girl but he was sure that the opportunity may never even come by.
The actual reason why kent had come to talk to the girl was not actually because of money but rather it was because of what the girl signified for him.
When he just came to this world, in the screen which let him know of the information of this world, it had mentioned something important about what he was supposed to do here and that was why he needed the girl.
He did not know if it was because of fate or luck but he happened to find the girl before he even tried to look for her.
"I cannot let this girl die here. if she dies then there will be a very huge price that i the protector will have to pay."
On the screen which told kent what to do, it had granted him his own role in this world and his own role was a protector.
