"Hahahahahaha." Fabio bursts into laughter after seeing how much Yves' face changed.
Yves's soul returned to him, leaving him to look embarrassed and cover his face with his hands. Fabio is dying of laughter, and the old woman is trying her best not to laugh.
Yves tried his best to try and act unfazed; however, his eyes were saying something else. They became watery, with hints of red.
The old woman saw this and decided to tell Yves more information about her evaluation of Yves.
"Don't be discouraged, but you have potential as you haven't even extracted ten percent of your mythological being. It is interesting to see that you reacted to the D-rank potion as the other potion says otherwise."
"..."
"But it makes sense as you passed out after using your abilities, so you still have room for improvement."
"How much improvement?" Yves asked with a visible tear rolling down his cheek.
"Now the interesting part is that I can't tell you with ninety percent accuracy. Your mythological being is very unique, as I haven't seen anything like this, but we haven't seen all the mythological beings."
Yves regained his sanity and started to doubt the dumb decision he made in making a contract with Ink.
The old woman walked to a cabinet beside her cauldron and started searching for files. She then pulled out a piece of paper.
"Here, this is your new plan, the expected time for you to master this being, and how long it will take you to advance to a stronger mythological being." She handed the paper to Yves, who was one-half as positive as when he entered and one-tenth compared to that of his evaluation.
Yves read the plan and felt his heart sink even further. It was reaching its designated place, but now it sank deeper.
The plan was that he would attend over ten classes in a week for at least two hours each. The time frame that he will master his mythological creature is over a year. Since the start of the chaos, there have been very few examples of people needing more than a year, so there is no telling. The same thing happened with him advancing.
Fabio walked up and put his arm over Yves's shoulder. He gave a small glance, and his eyes widened.
"I am sorry." Fabio gave the paper back and walked away.
"..."
Yves, dying inside, gave thanks to the old woman and walked away.
"Behind the paper is your schedule starting today. Good luck. The old woman gave a small wave to Yves after ruining his day even more.
Yves walked outside the door and only opened it one-tenth, and he could hear the laughter of Fabio and a small chuckle from Leia.
Yves felt so betrayed, as he thought that she would be the one to take pity on him, but the opposite was happening.
Yves opened the door, extremely depressed, and saw how immediately Fabio's and Leia's faces changed from laughter to seriousness.
"ha, what did she say?" Leia couldn't talk straight without giving a small chuckle.
"Just bring me to my class; you know it. You can laugh."
"What room is your first class?" Leia asked.
"Introduction to mythologies."
Leia tried her best not to laugh, but her face gave a small grin, and her breathing increased to keep her cool.
"Hahaha, I am sorry for laughing, but that is a class with children." Fabio broke the news to Yves.
"Shut up and just bring me to my class." Yves's eyes were watering, and a tear from the left eye rolled down.
Leia turned around and went to where the stairs were located. Her movement was different than before; Yves knew that she was dying of laughter and resisting with all her might.
"I never took that class because I was strong enough for that class to bring me any benefits, and also I had more important things to worry about." Fabio talked the whole way up to the tenth floor.
They arrived at the floor, and Yves became even sadder as he saw children no older than ten running around on a very colorful and toy-covered floor. There are five doors on the floor with the center covering most of the room.
Yves walked to the center and was swarmed by curious children after seeing three people double their size.
"Are you a girl?" A small girl with her light black hair asked Yves such a hurtful question.
"..."
"Hahaha," Leia couldn't contain herself anymore and let out the smallest laugh ever produced.
"Hahahaha!! She called you a girl, and you know that kids don't lie." Fabio laughed louder than his modest sister.
"N-no, I am a boy." Yves was on the verge of drop-kicking that innocent girl.
"For real? You have long hair like girls." Another boy looking extremely similar to the girl asked Yves.
Hehe
"I am going to drop…" Yves' mouth was covered by Fabio, and he started pulling Yves away from the child who was probably not going to see another day if Fabio wasn't there.
Ink, what the fuck was that? Why did you laugh?
Ink didn't respond, but a woman appeared out from the Intro to Mythology class.
"Hello, what brings you here?" A young woman asked.
Her long blonde hair and blue eyes with her modest yet sophisticated white dress captured Fabio's attention.
"We have a new student for you," Leia responded.
The young woman started looking around, trying to find a small child.
"Where is the child?" She asked as she didn't find a new child.
"This is the overgrown child." Fabio, trembling, grabbed Yves and presented him to her.
Yves was for sure dead inside, but there was one thing keeping him sane, his realization that Fabio had probably fallen in love with the teacher.
The teacher looked confused as if they were playing a prank on her. Leia stepped in and recounted the entire story to the teacher. From his fight against a D-rank being to his evaluation and eventual arrival here.
The teacher laughed at many stages of Yves' story.
Yves at this point became a little less annoyed at the constant laughter at his misery, but he was paying more attention to the changes in Fabio's heartbeat and movements.
The teacher extended her hand to Yves.
"Hello, my name is Ms. Sophia. Nice to meet you, my new student." Sophia greeted Yves with a warm and inviting voice.
Yves shook her hands and looked back at Fabio, giving him a small grin.
