The rumbling sound grew louder, shaking the ground beneath Joy and Sorrow's feet. They looked at each other in alarm as the sky darkened and the air filled with an electric charge.
Suddenly, a brilliant light illuminated the landscape, and Joy felt herself being lifted off the ground. She saw Sorrow rising beside her, its wings beating wildly as it gazed at Joy with an expression of wonder.
As the light enveloped them, Joy felt a surge of energy course through her being. She saw visions of the past and present, of all the moments that had led her to this place.
And then, in an instant, the light vanished, leaving Joy and Sorrow standing on the ground, gasping for breath.
As they looked around, they saw that the landscape had changed. The flowers were blooming brighter than ever, and the trees seemed to be humming with a gentle, vibrant energy.
Joy's sparkles shone with excitement. "What just happened?" she asked Sorrow.
Sorrow's wings fluttered softly. "I think we've been awakened," it said.
Joy's eyes widened. "Awakened to what?"
Sorrow smiled. "To our true potential," it said. "We've been given a gift, Joy. A gift to spread joy and light throughout the world."
