Chapter 62 - The Second Trial Begins – Gravity’s Unforgiving Hand

Jiang Chen, Bai Muchen, and Xiao Dong all emerged from their secluded cultivation 3 days later and met at the entrance to the 11th floor.

Jiang Chen smirked, "Shall we continue?"

Xiao Dong and Bai Muchen both just grinned and walked forward without a word.

Jiang Chen chuckled and followed behind them.

The moment Jiang Chen, Bai Muchen, and Xiao Dong stepped onto the 11th floor, the world changed.

BOOOOM!

A force unlike anything they had ever felt before slammed down on their bodies, crushing them to their knees.

Jiang Chen's eyes widened as he felt the weight press into his bones. It wasn't just cultivation suppression—it was raw, unrelenting gravity, a force beyond Qi, beyond technique. It was the world itself trying to break them.

Bai Muchen gritted his teeth, his Titanblood Physique straining under the immense pressure. His muscles bulged, veins pulsing violently as his body resisted the crushing weight.

Xiao Dong cursed loudly, his knees slamming into the ground, sweat already dripping from his forehead. "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?! ARE WE FIGHTING THE DAMN HEAVENS NOW?!"

Jiang Chen clenched his jaw, his golden-amber eyes flickering as he struggled to stand straight.

Then—

A familiar voice rang in their minds.

"The Eleventh Floor – The Gravity Suppression Trial."

"A trial not of combat, but of endurance. There is no enemy, only the force of the world itself. The weak shall be crushed. The strong… shall adapt."

Jiang Chen exhaled slowly.

So that's what this was.

Bai Muchen's fists clenched. "How… the hell do we get through this?"

Jiang Chen closed his eyes, letting his mind adjust. He could feel it—the weight of reality itself pushing down. His Chaos Qi swirled within him, resisting the external pressure, but even it struggled to keep up.

He took a step forward.

BOOM!

The ground beneath his feet cracked, but he remained standing.

Another step.

Another.

His body moved, adapting faster than expected.

Then—

Something clicked in his mind.

The Voidwalker ability.

His golden-amber eyes widened. This was the perfect test for it.

He stilled himself, letting his Qi move naturally. Instead of fighting against the weight… he moved through it.

His body flickered.

For a brief second, he was weightless. The crushing pressure disappeared, as if the world itself had lost its grip on him.

He took another step—this time, smoothly, like walking through air.

Xiao Dong, still struggling, gasped. "H-HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU MOVING LIKE THAT?!"

Jiang Chen smirked. "Because I'm better than you."

"FUCK YOU, YOU DAMN SHOW-OFF!" Xiao Dong growled, still crawling forward like a dying animal.

Bai Muchen, his muscles flexing under the strain, narrowed his eyes. "What are you doing?"

Jiang Chen vanished again, flickering through the crushing pressure with Voidwalker.

"I'm moving between reality."

Bai Muchen and Xiao Dong both scowled. "THAT DOESN'T EXPLAIN SHIT, YOU BASTARD!"

Jiang Chen chuckled. "You'll figure it out."

As they crawled forward, Jiang Chen walked with ease, stepping through the gravity-stricken world like it was nothing.

What should have been days of painful crawling for them was mere moments for him.

By the time he reached the end of the trial, he turned around—only to see Xiao Dong and Bai Muchen looking like they were being tortured by the heavens.

Xiao Dong, his face planted against the stone ground, barely lifted his head. "I… FUCKING… HATE THIS."

Bai Muchen, his fists shaking from exertion, scowled. "This… is ridiculous."

Jiang Chen smirked. "Well, I'll be waiting. Take your time."

And then, in front of countless other cultivators who were also struggling to even move, Jiang Chen sat down and took a nap.

The other cultivators who saw this lost their minds.

"WHAT THE FUCK?! HE'S SLEEPING?! WHILE WE'RE DYING?!"

"THAT MONSTER JUST WALKED THROUGH THIS FLOOR LIKE IT WAS NOTHING?!"

"WHAT KIND OF DAMN EVIL SECT PRODUCED THIS FREAK?!"

As Jiang Chen leaned back comfortably, he let out a content sigh. "This floor was easier than I expected."

Meanwhile—

Bai Muchen and Xiao Dong wanted to strangle him.

But first…

They had to survive.

Two Days Later…

Jiang Chen leaned back against a smooth obsidian boulder at the end of the Eleventh Floor, his arms crossed as he watched Bai Muchen and Xiao Dong suffer.

Xiao Dong, drenched in sweat, his body trembling under the sheer gravity, had only managed to crawl halfway across the damned floor. His teeth were clenched so hard they might crack.

"FUCK… THIS… TRIAL…"

Bai Muchen, gritting his teeth, was at least on his feet, though his movements were sluggish. His Titanblood Physique had adapted faster than Xiao Dong's, but even he was moving at a crawl.

"This is hell."

Jiang Chen let out an exaggerated yawn. "You're just weak."

Xiao Dong's vein nearly popped. "I AM GOING TO KILL YOU THE MOMENT I GET OUT OF THIS!"

Jiang Chen smirked, twirling a small rock in his hands before flicking it at Xiao Dong's head. The poor bastard couldn't even dodge as it smacked him in the forehead.

BOOOOM!

Xiao Dong let out a muffled scream, his head slamming into the stone floor.

"YOU PIECE OF SHIT! I SWEAR I'M GONNA—"

Bai Muchen grunted, forcing himself forward. He ignored the bickering and focused. This was a trial of endurance, not raw strength.

The gravity wasn't simply pressing down on them—it was changing them.

Each step forward forced their bodies to evolve.

Jiang Chen had figured that out almost immediately. Xiao Dong and Bai Muchen? They were too stubborn to realize it.

Still, they weren't weak.

By the time they reached the end of the Eleventh Floor, both were standing properly, albeit exhausted and covered in bruises.

Xiao Dong collapsed, gasping for breath. "Fucking… worst… trial… ever."

Bai Muchen exhaled, his muscles rippling as he steadied himself. "That… was brutal."

Jiang Chen smirked. "At least you learned something."

Xiao Dong flipped him off.

Bai Muchen rolled his shoulders. "You think the next floor will be easier?"

Jiang Chen stretched. "No. I think it'll be worse."

And he was right.
