Chapter 49 - The Fist Demon vs. The Rising Monster - The Arena Trembles

The entire Heaven Sundering Sect was silent.

Not a single breath. Not a single murmur.

Everyone was watching.

Bai Muchen, the undefeated warlord of the sect, finally stepped forward, his Titanblood aura radiating like a god descending from the heavens.

Jiang Chen stood across from him, his Chaos Qi coiling like a serpent, the very air trembling under his presence.

This was it.

1st Place – Bai Muchen (The Undefeated Fist Demon).

2nd Place – Jiang Chen (The Rising Monster).

"The strongest disciple versus the most unpredictable monster."

One of them would stand victorious.

The other?

Would be buried beneath the might of their opponent.

Zhao Yan grinned, his battle-hardened instincts thrumming.

"Alright, brats! This is the final fight! BEGIN!"

BOOOOM!

Bai Muchen vanished.

Jiang Chen's golden-amber eyes sharpened as Bai Muchen exploded toward him, crossing the battlefield in an instant!

"FAST!"

Jiang Chen instinctively activated Starshadow Burst, his body flickering backward, dodging the first punch.

But—

Bai Muchen didn't stop.

BOOM!

A second punch followed immediately, forcing Jiang Chen to twist mid-air to barely avoid it.

A third punch.

A fourth.

BANG! Jiang Chen blocked one with his forearm, but the force sent him skidding back several meters, his bones groaning under the pressure.

The disciples gasped.

"What the hell?! He's so much faster than before!"

"No, it's not just speed. He's moving with absolute efficiency—like a beast that has mastered the hunt!"

Bai Muchen grinned, rolling his shoulders.

"I'm not like those other weaklings you fought."

He cracked his knuckles.

"I don't rely on fancy footwork, evasive maneuvers, or tricks. I just hit harder than anyone else."

BOOM!

He shot forward again.

Jiang Chen exhaled, eyes blazing.

"Then let's see how you handle me at my best."

Jiang Chen stopped retreating.

Instead—

He stepped forward.

His body flickered—but this time, it wasn't just speed.

It was space itself shifting.

The air warped, the ground cracked, and suddenly—

Jiang Chen stood behind Bai Muchen.

The entire sect froze.

The Grand Elders abruptly sat forward in their seats.

Mu Qinglan's breath hitched.

Xiao Dong muttered under his breath.

"What... What did he just do?!"

"NO—HE DIDN'T JUST MOVE FAST. HE MOVED THROUGH SPACE ITSELF!"

Bai Muchen's eyes narrowed.

Jiang Chen raised his hand.

"Starshadow Burst – Annihilation Strike."

BOOOOM!

Jiang Chen's Chaos-infused palm slammed into Bai Muchen's back, sending him crashing into the battlefield floor!

The entire arena shook.

Dust erupted into the sky.

For a moment—silence.

Then—

Bai Muchen got up.

He wiped the blood from his lip and grinned.

"Not bad."

"But not enough."

The Titanblood Physique was still intact.

Jiang Chen clicked his tongue.

"Damn. That usually works."

Before Bai Muchen could move, Jiang Chen exhaled deeply.

Then—

The entire world seemed to tilt.

His body shimmered, the very fabric of space bending around him.

The moment his Starshadow Body fully awakened, the sky dimmed.

The golden-amber hue of his eyes deepened, now streaked with starlit blues, as if a galaxy burned within them.

A deep blue diamond-shaped mark pulsed on his forehead, radiating an ancient, unfathomable energy.

The Grand Elders visibly tensed.

First Grand Elder Wu Tianhai's expression darkened.

Second Grand Elder Xue Fang's gaze flickered with intensity.

Mu Qinglan stared in absolute disbelief.

"That… That is no ordinary physique."

"What… what kind of monster is he?!"

The entire sect was holding its breath.

Even Bai Muchen's grin faded slightly.

"Interesting."

"Let's see if that pretty glow actually means something."

Bai Muchen exhaled.

Then—

His Qi exploded outward, turning into a golden tidal wave of sheer dominance.

His muscles expanded slightly, his body glowing with an ancient golden hue.

The ground beneath him cracked apart just from the force of his existence.

The sect disciples trembled.

"He's activating his Titan Awakening!"

"This is Bai Muchen at full power!"

Jiang Chen felt the shift.

"So this is your limit, huh?"

He stepped forward, the space around him warping.

Bai Muchen charged.

BOOOOOOM!

Jiang Chen met him head-on.

A fist crashed against a palm.

The arena shattered.

The sect shook.

Bai Muchen stepped back, his breathing slightly heavier.

Jiang Chen stood firm, his body still glowing with celestial power.

Then—both warriors exhaled.

"Titan's Wrath – Heaven Sundering Fist!"

"Heaven Sundering Chaos Palm – Starshadow Descent!"

Two of the strongest attacks in the sect's history were about to collide.

The sect braced themselves.

The heavens trembled.

The ground split.

And then—

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

The sect was silent.

The battlefield was in ruins.

A massive shockwave had torn through the arena, splitting the very ground beneath them. The stone tiles had been shattered into debris, cracks spreading hundreds of meters outward.

At the center of the destruction, two figures stood.

Jiang Chen.

Bai Muchen.

Both bloodied, breathing heavily, but still standing.

They had clashed with their strongest attacks, and yet—neither had fallen.

Jiang Chen exhaled, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.

Bai Muchen rolled his shoulders, his body still radiating the power of the Titanblood Physique, but his breaths were coming heavier now.

For the first time in the entire tournament…

Bai Muchen was winded.

He stared at Jiang Chen, then let out a low, appreciative chuckle.

"You're something else, Jiang Chen."

Jiang Chen smirked, spitting blood to the side.

"I could say the same to you. Thought you'd be harder to hurt."

Bai Muchen grinned.

"Tch. You did more than just hurt me. You actually made me fight seriously."

Neither of them moved for a moment.

The disciples watching from the stands were frozen in awe.

"They're still standing?!"

"They should be unconscious by now!"

"This isn't just a battle… it's a war!"

Even the Grand Elders watched with sharp eyes, their previous amusement replaced with seriousness.

Second Grand Elder Xue Fang muttered, "A battle like this… We might be watching the rise of two legends."

First Grand Elder Wu Tianhai smirked.

"Foolish kids. Neither of them wants to lose. This will only end when their bodies give out."

And then—

Bai Muchen charged forward again.

Jiang Chen didn't back down.

BOOOOOOM!

They clashed again, and again, and again.

Their movements were slower now, more labored—but each strike still carried monstrous force.

Bai Muchen's Titanblood-enhanced punches shook the battlefield, his raw power unmatched.

Jiang Chen's Chaos-infused counters twisted space itself, bending reality with every movement.

Even though they were both injured, both drained…

Neither of them stopped moving.

Neither of them stopped attacking.

Jiang Chen barely dodged a punch to the ribs, twisting his body at the last second.

Bai Muchen grunted as Jiang Chen landed a crushing palm strike to his shoulder, Chaos Qi erupting from the impact.

BANG!

Bai Muchen staggered back, but grinned.

"That actually stung."

Jiang Chen exhaled, his chest rising and falling.

"Yeah? Well, your fists feel like getting hit by a fucking mountain."

Bai Muchen laughed.

"That's because they are."

Jiang Chen snorted.

"Cocky bastard."

Bai Muchen grinned wider.

"Takes one to know one."

They took a step forward.

Then another.

Both warriors were running on sheer willpower now.

The sect disciples couldn't believe their eyes.

"How… HOW ARE THEY STILL FIGHTING?!"

"They should have collapsed by now!"

"What kind of monsters are these two?!"

Jiang Chen exhaled, rolling his shoulders.

I don't have much Qi left… but neither does he.

Bai Muchen wiped the blood from his face, cracking his neck.

This bastard really pushed me to my limit… Fine then. Let's finish this properly.

Their eyes locked.

For the first time, neither of them saw an enemy.

They saw a rival. A fellow warrior.

A fighter worthy of their full respect.

They lowered into their stances.

Then—

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

They charged each other one last time.

The sect shook.

The arena cracked apart.

The Grand Elders subtly reinforced the battlefield with their Qi, preventing it from collapsing entirely.

And then—

Two bodies crashed into the ground at the same time.

Silence.

Jiang Chen and Bai Muchen lay there, motionless.

The dust slowly settled.

The sect disciples were speechless.

Zhao Yan let out a booming laugh.

"THESE TWO MADMEN FOUGHT UNTIL THEY BOTH COLLAPSED?! HAHAHAHA!"

The entire sect erupted.

Some cheered.

Some gasped.

Some simply stood there in disbelief.

Even Mu Qinglan, normally cold and calculative, was staring at the battlefield, unable to process what she had just witnessed.

"They… fought until neither could stand?"

"No winner… no loser?"

"They pushed each other beyond their limits and still refused to give up?"

First Grand Elder Wu Tianhai grinned slightly.

"That… is the Heaven Sundering Sect."

Bai Muchen groaned. "Damn… I hate ties."

Jiang Chen let out a breathless chuckle. "Then get stronger."

Bai Muchen snorted. "You too, bastard."

And then—

They both passed out.
