Chapter 1 - The Rising #1

Night time had struck. The streets were bustling with people. Everyone was busy except for Jaden Lee who was staring into space in his room. Seventeen years of his life had been spent in chaos. Always feeling things around him. Things he never understood until now. Voices always lurked around him. Voices no one would hear but only him. He had tried tried telling his friends, family and psychiatrists about the voices, but still, everyone thought he was just getting more insane. "Just stop whispering," he yelled at no one on particular but at the maddening noises and voices that lurked everywhere in his room and mind. One thing that he could not understand was why it was him who could listen to this voices. These voices that had led him to nothing but sadness and loneliness.

As he was still thinking of his past life, a hand suddenly started crawling out of the floor in his room. The voices started increasing. Speaking in unison as if they were chanting some unknown resurrecting words. All he could do was to keep on screaming "help, please. They are real". Someone from outside yelled,"He is acting up again. Open the door." Jaden's atmosphere started changing. It did not look like his room anymore. Things looked slurry and blurry. He felt like he was turning in air. He saw people enter his room. "Oh my God!" A woman screamed. "Grab his hand, Max! Oh my...It's real. Grab on Jaden!"

Jaden tried so hard to hold a blurry hand that was held out for him to grab but he just couldn't reach it. All he saw last was himself being pulled into a different atmosphere by something that looked queer.

Definitely something had risen from wherever the hell it came from to take him to his death. At least he would never suffer loneliness again. His eyes faltered into slumber from being dizzy and then they shut ...
