While recovering in the city of Vyranthos, Kael and his companions face a devastating attack by Zareth's army. The Voidborn have grown stronger, their forces bolstered by traitorous factions within the city. The group is forced into a desperate battle to protect the remaining Shardkeepers and prevent Zareth from claiming the Shard of Light, hidden beneath the city.
