Chapter 7 - Aide

Cassius made his way to the feeding room with a relaxed stride excited to finally taste some fresh blood; the Crimson family mansion didn't change in layout or arrangements only a few decorative updates were made but the entirety of the building still felt very periodic. This was intentional to help reduce confusion for Vampire ancestors when they awoke from slumber. Cassius entered the room that now seemed to look like an unused bedroom 'Cleaner than I remember' he thought to himself. In the past feeding rooms were usually splattered with blood and remains that were difficult to remove, reason being that there was no such thing as a voluntary aid back then instead the room was treated more like a prison for captured prey.

An elegant slender figure sat in the reading chair across the room directly in Cassius line of sight, she was dressed in a satin dress that draped on her body like a glove and brushed the floor ever so slightly. The high slit on the outfit revealed her toned legs as they were crossed waiting in anticipation, her waist length straight hair matched the colour of her dress making her seem like a delicately drawn painting. Her face sultry and enticing but her piercing golden eyes gave her a cat like appearance, one that wasn't too pleased with waiting.

'Seems like you were worth the wait' she broke the silence as they both started each other down. She stood up and stepped towards Cassius until she was standing only inches away from him 'When I heard it was a powerful Vampire that needed me, I couldn't believe there could be anyone stronger than Estefan that needed a new aide' she looked at him up and down 'But by God are you a feast on the eyes' she said catching her breath. At this point Cassius was once again thankful for the glasses Estefan gave him as he got to experience all kinds of personalities without his charm getting in the way.

Cassius removed his glasses and placed them on the bedside cabinet 'Excuse my impatience as I'm quite famished you see' he turned to look at her expecting her to jump on him considering how aggressive she was without his charm in effect. Instead, he found her looking down to the side avoiding eye contact 'Can you not! I would rather not be falsely enamoured by someone I've just met' She confidently spoke to the ground.

Cassius placed his glasses on once more 'It's usually easier this way, why are you volunteering if not for the charm?' he asked in a soft yet strong tone.

She smiled slyly and avoided eye contact in a playful gesture.

Cassius peeked above his glasses and activated his crimson eyes 'Answer' he commanded.

The woman's demeanour changed and became that of an infatuated girl 'I just love Vampires; I heard so many tales as a child from my grandma about my ancestor who turned and since then I simply want be involved in everything Vampires do!' as soon as she answered she returned to her normal self. She turned giving her back to Cassius 'Urgh what is wrong with you? Do you have no decorum, I would have told you eventually are you so tactless!?' She snapped back flicking her hair to the side showing a side profile that most humans would worship.

Cassius was confused yet pleasantly surprised by the refreshing act of defiance 'I needed to know that you weren't an addict … Apologies.' The words themselves were new to Cassius since when did he apologise? and to a human? Maybe it was due to the glasses he began using but he seemed to be treating humans less like livestock and more like amusing pets.

Vampire addicts may have been less common in this time period, but Cassius had to be sure that he wasn't dealing with a human addict as these were harder to identify; humans could easily become addicted to the pheromone released by Vampire fangs when piercing their skin.

'As a good will gesture, I will make sure you enjoy the process' Cassius said as he stealthily moved in behind his aide placing his hand on her abdomen and pulling her in. She could feel all of him pressed against her from behind, his smooth movements told her that he had done this many times and it made her falter. With his other hand he moved her hair to the side revealing her nape and as his tongue sensually caressed her skin while his fangs grew.

She breathed out a moan as soon as she felt his touch but pushed him away just as fast 'Who do you think you are, my partner? You can take blood from my palm' she gestured towards her hand. You could see the bewilderment in Cassius' face, he fell to the bed laughing at himself and the multiple situations today where humans had surprised him, for a vampire who lived for so long life had become monotonous thus having an eventful day was something he had long forgotten about. All this led to him bursting out laughing on the bed like an amused child as a release, for some reason he still felt like humouring this aide.

Cassius sat up after he composed himself grabbed hold of her fragile wrist thinking of how much easier it would be to just snap it off and drink his fill, but in a way this too was a different type of hunt. He edged his way to her palm taking in her scent, as his nose brushed her skin goosebumps shivered up her arm. She bit her bottom lip to stop her from moaning out loud, he stroked her skin with his tongue making his way to her wrist and finally plunged his grown fangs deep inside. She couldn't help but release a sigh of pleasure as the pheromones entered her blood stream, any normal Vampire's pheromone would immensely arouse a human whereas with one as strong as Cassius the levels of pleasure she was feeling were endless. The female aide dropped to her knees as desire made her weak.

Cassius savoured every touch of the blood as it entered his mouth before he swallowed it down, however it was short lived. As soon as the blood touched his throat he slapped the aide's hand away and spat out the foreign substance before getting up and releasing all his pent up frustration. The energy in the room started to suffocate the elegant figure on the ground, she grabbed her neck trying to desperately gasp for air. However, seconds before she passed out Estefan entered the room in a hurry and took her into his arms releasing his aura to protect the aide from his masters fury.

'Estefan, it's not possible for you to get my requirements for blood wrong. That leaves two possibilities either this woman purposefully wanted impure blood inside me which warrants da slow death or … she lied' Cassius spoke down to the pair that knelt on the ground.

'Esme, please explain yourself' Estefan pleaded in still a somewhat calm manner but was still clearly worried for this human's safety.

'Estefan, I'm so sorry when you asked me to come on such short notice, I thought it was fine because you only ever need three days of blood detox. I promise I didn't intentionally mean to harm anyone, it's my fault I assumed I didn't need the full week to cleanse. Please I'm so sorry don't let him hurt me' Esme sobbed and buried her face in Estefan's chest hiding in his arms.

Upon hearing this Cassius was about to finally lose his temper but his face pointed towards the door as something else took his attention as well as his fury. 'Looks like our young lord is finally awake' he smiled devilishly as he left the room along with his aura.
