"Why?" I asked the man standing in front of me.
"Why did you do this to me? WHAT HAD I EVER DONE TO YOU!?!?"
I had never, in all my 20 years of life ever raised my voice at him, but now it took everything to just keep myself from killing him.
"....." He spoke nothing, his face scowling. He was trying his best to assert himself as steady, to show himself unaffected by my sudden outburst. He, however, forgot how much time I had spent with him. I had grown up in his cruel shadow, and as such, I recognized what his eyes betrayed.
He was scared of what my outburst would cost him. His eyes were trembling slightly watery. Somehow his silence made me more restless, more angry.
"WHY ARE YOU SILENT NOW?? All my life you couldn't keep that mouth of yours close so, SPEAK NOW LAV!!!! ANSWER ME!! "
Screaming at him once again I held him by the collar of his shirt. My breathing became erratic, fury overtook my mind but somehow I controlled myself from just beating the crap out of him. My eyes stung and my vision became blurry, tears formed that threatened to burst out.
"I-I-I, J-Just wanted the best for my son."
His voice trembled, and any facade he was trying to put up broke down as he tried to answer but his answer pissed me off more.

Trembling, he became quiet once again. It was frustrating, the more he kept quiet the more it consumed my patience, the more he deflected the more I wanted to kill him.

I calmed myself down and pushed him away from me. He collapsed on the floor. As much as I hate him I can't kill him. That would only make my mother sad and I love her way more than I hate him.
I did not know what to do now, I was lost. My life was ruined all because of this weasel-like pathetic excuse of a man. Val, this was the man that until yesterday I had called my father.
This goblin-like hunched man is the one who stole me from my biological family, who tortured me every waking moment of my life while his own son replaced my place as the sole heir of the Dukedom of Vaikartan.
I looked at him once again.

I clicked my tongue, even now he tries to manipulate me but I have had enough.

I saw his facial expression drop, he looked terrified but I did not feel any satisfaction looking at him. I was not lying.
