In the last room on the right corner of second floor, moans escaped through the slightly opened door. the smell of hormones everywhere and two people were tightly entwined in the middle of the bed tossing and turning their bodies .Lea tilted her head back and moaned continuously even though her throat felt dry and sore .
She reached out to grab the other party who seemed to be saying something she didn't seem to understand asking "what are you saying? Are you Leo ? say something!" she endured the discomfort she was in and tried to sit up but the other party reacted and pressed her on the bed going deeper with every thrust. As the other party went on, the pain became unbearable and she finally passed out.
The next morning, Lea woke up to an empty room feeling sore all over especially her lower body. she felt as if she had been run over by a car. she struggled to sit up seeming oblivious to the pain she was going through.
She felt like fainting from the pain when her feet touched the ground. Images from the previous night started flashing in her head making her feel a headache coming up. She suddenly remembered something and pulled off the covers only to see bright red blood marks on the white sheet.
Her legs went week and she fell on the ground with a loud ' thud' covering her face with her hand as tears stream down her face. The door creaked open and a waiter walked in holding a tray. Lea quickly pulled the bath robe on the ground to cover her body .
The waiter who just entered saw Lea sitting on the ground looking disheveled and was stunned. He quickly put down the breakfast he was holding and ran to help her." miss what happened is everything alright? do you want to go to the hospital..." he stopped speaking when he saw the blood marks on the bed and looked back at lea on the floor . Lea blushed and pull the covers over the marks looking sad and embarrassed at the same time .
George swallowed everything he wanted to say and helped her sit on the bed. she felt uneasy in her heart . who would harm her like this? she had not done anything to make anybody angry so why this treatment? this thought made her nose sore while she tried her best to hold back her tears. unconsciously, she started mummering under her breath. George on the other hand, was at lose and couldn't keep his cool at all. he had never had a girlfriend and didn't know how to coax a girl!
An idea popped in his mind and he instantly took out his phone. He opened a music app and started playing music, patting her back to the rythm of the beat. Slowly, Lea calmed down and started to process what happened the previous night. She asked the waiter" do you guys run shifts?" he hesitated a little as if thinking " yeah.....but last night, the person who was supposed to take my place was unavailable so I didn't switch yesterday" he answered truthfully.
She forced herself to look calm on the outside while she panicked inside. she looked at George and asked " did you see anyone coming inside this room last night?" George shook his head. " Although I didn't change shifts with anyone, I was not allowed to come up unless I was summoned by a guest." Lea knew this but still asked just in case. she took her phone from the bed side table and checked the time. It was already 1 pm on Saturday noon . she cursed under her breath, wiped her face and dialed Rose's number....
Friday Morning,
Lea's Pov:
Rose came in running looking excited with an ash envelope in her hands. She slapped the envelope on my desk then held her waist without a word. seeing her like this, I knew she wanted me to open it and read it out loud. " Rose, come on! I don't want this!" I said as I pushed the envelope towards her.
she frowned looking displeased but I wasn't bothered . I suddenly heard a soft laughter from above which sent shivers down my spine. I knew exactly who made that laugh but the problem was what was she planning to do again? the last time she made a laugh like this, I ended up sleeping in my own closet.
Rose and I had known each other since our freshmen year in high school. I saved her once from being raped and since then we've been best friends.... we both went to the same college and coincidentally, ended up in one office as co - workers, So she was like a sister to me.
I groaned in frustration and picked up the envelope. with a smirk, she pulled her chair closer to mine and stretched her neck looking interested. As soon as I opened the envelope, a black post card caught my eye and on it, there was an address and a time.
Immediately, Rose took her laptop and begun to search " got it!" she exclaimed. she place the laptop my desk to show me the results. it was the address of a famous hotel in the city. It was recently built by a start up real estate company but it immediately became famous surpassing other hotels within a week.
It was said that the owner of the hotel was unknown but he loved parties so he would turn the hotel lobby into a night club every Friday night. Most of he big shots in Quinstine would go there to have fun.
Looking at the post card on the desk, I felt a little annoyed as to why would some send me this adress and the exact time of the club opening. Did the person think of me as a whore? or did they think that I'd go to a place to find someone I didn't know? do I look stupid?
" Earth to Lea!!" Rose snapped her fingers at her when she saw her staring foolishly at the screen. " so are you going ti check it out?" " check what out?" Rose rolled her eyes and pointed at the post card " what else do you think I meant" she said a little annoyed. " I don't want to!" Lea shook her head . " Although we don't know what the other party wants, we can't just do what they say. What if it's a trap?" " What if it's not? look closely doesn't the handwriting look familiar to you? " Rose pointed at the writings on the card.
It did look familiar. She seemed to have seen it somewhere but couldn't remember where. Coupled with Rose's persuasion, she decided to go and have a look. what do you know? maybe at the end of he day, a miracle might happen! she mumbled to her self before proceeding with her work.....
