As the bus parks in front of building and taking a minute to fully stop. The coach got up first and everyone followed with, Ethan got up last because he had to wake up Parker, he was deep asleep. Parker rubs his eyes and yawn Ethan and Parker stands up then the coach yells "What's taking so long, get the hell out of the bus!" Ethan gets up annoyed by the coach constant bickering. Parker stands and starts to walk out of the bus. He look at the coach and says, "Maybe if you had better gameplans i'd listen to you more." The coach was furious essentially screaming at parker and threatening to train him until he collapses. Parker whispers to Ethan, "He'll probably train you to hell but he won't do anything to anyone who stays for 3 or more years." Ethan nods and sighs knowing it's going to be a long day. Both parker and ethan walk into the building to see Deshawn jumping out and wraps his arm around Ethan and say, "I am proud of you Ethan, truly you've inspired the players again and hell maybe we can try to have the coach redraw that shit plan he has us running." Ethan chuckles at his joke then he thinks about it until Alejandro goes up to him and asks "Can I have a word with Ethan real quick Deshawn." Deshawn looks skeptical but put his arm down from Ethan. Ethan follows Alejandro to the locker room which is currently empty. Ethan was about to speak until Alejandro punches him in the stomach, knocking the air out of him, making him squat in pain. Alejandro looks down at Ethan and say, "I'll admit Ethan that goal was sick, but I can't have that continue, If I'm not captain I can't get those bonuses man, and if the coach starts looking down upon me, oh I'll be very angry, and this is just... a warning ok Ethan." He pats Ethan's head as he leaves, Ethan breaths heavily as he uses a chair to lift himself up it takes him almost two minutes to get up. Ethan covers his stomach as he limps out of the locker room he sees Parker and Deshawn waiting at the door, Deshawn looks at Ethan, his veins almost bulging from his neck. And Parker frowns by this and says saddened "Hurting teammates because some wanted to make a spark, it's pathetic truly. Well I'll be heading to my dorm, see ya Ethan." As Parker walks away Deshawn looks at Ethan and says in a serious tone "The next time either you have the chance to get the ball goal it, I have my plans whenever I get it." Ethan thinks for a moment and asks "When is the next game Deshawn? It seems like the coach keeps rushing for more and more games." Deshawn says while he's patting his head "Maybe 3 days then give or take, I heard the coach is being forced to lay back." Deshawn then asks "Ready to go to the dorms or not yet because I am tired and I don't wanna train right now." Ethan takes a minute to think, he looks at Deshawn and says kinda angered "I found a new goal for me and this team. I must surpass Alejandro, I am not letting him bring this team down any longer." Deshawn chuckles a little and responds with "Alright man, honestly I think physically you can surpass him, but you need to be in the spotlight more if you want to destroy him. You have to just humiliate him." Ethan, confused by his response and asks, "What do you mean? Do I have to keep making more goals or like I have to do what Parker did?" Deshawn nods and says "Yes more goals will make people like you but the flashier they are the more people will say your name. Like how Parker is in the picture for Kickline, he did that amazing bicycle kick. Obviously people would love it, the more fans you'll get the more people would see you as captain. Then people would complain how you are not our glorious, amazing captain." Deshawn mocks him at the end. Ethan thinks on his words until they get to their dorm's door, Deshawn uses a key to open it and jokingly "My captain." Ethan kinda shoves Deshawn but he does think about the title of being captain, the players and his friends looking up to him, the fame he'd get, the teams that'll request him, and the money for his next contract. Ethan fantasizes to himself when he goes into his dorm and on his bed. Deshawn goes on his phone and starts to type something. Ethan sees this and asks, "Hey what are you typing Deshawn?" Deshawn responds while typing "Oh I'm calculating my current year's contract and how much I'll get after taxes to see if it's good enough to pay off my debt." Ethan's expression was puzzled and asked "Who are you in debt to or was it just college?" Deshawn responds reluctantly, "Well I used to have this gambling problem so I borrowed money from...certain people and also a few banks, then somehow I got back into high-school, joined soccer and that's how I joined this team." Ethan nods, taking in Deshawn's history. Deshawn then asks, "Why did you get into soccer?" Ethan thinks for a minute and says "well it's not as sad as yours but, honestly when I told my family about it want to be a soccer player, they were quite...let's just say against about it and when i was in my senior year I was looking into minor league teams so I could play even when I move out. After high-school as bad as this sounds I ditched practically everyone just for soccer. I put my heart and soul to soccer. If I failed let's just say I wouldn't have been in the same place with you. Honestly I do feel sorry for my parents and friends I ghosted then just with no warning, but hopefully they see me on the news one day. I'd understand if they yell at me." Deshawn's hand is on his chin pondering on this and asks, "I understand, yea it sucks that you ditched them for this, but hell I understand that you'd put everything you have for this moment here, the pain to leave your family and just everyone. I understand Ethan, honestly I'm not a good guy either before soccer like I said I was in debt and barley scraping buy, I had to do things that I still regret to this day. But honestly I still don't know how I ended up here." Ethan then gets a question and asks "how old are you Deshawn?" Deshawn looks at Ethan then answer with "Ethan ik currently twenty, I went back to high-school when I was seventeen, and I've been on this team for almost three years." "Dude I mean no offense but I am sorry for you just all the struggles that you did to make it for one day." Ethan says while sitting up. "No, no don't worry about it, listen just know this. It's your life, your rewards and punishments, whatever you want to earn you have to improve and push your potential to beyond what you can ever think of man." Deshawn says while yawning "nonetheless I'm heading to bed" he says before turning over and putting his phone on and charger. Ethan takes Deshawn's words to heart, as he lays back down and sets his phone on the charger, he wonders if he could truly become better than what he is now. He then closes his eyes while thinking about this dilemma.
