Édua was working standing at the cash register, but her thoughts were completely elsewhere. The events of the past week brought a smile to her face, especially when she thought back to their second date. Patrik took her to a small playground, where they had a picnic. They talked and laughed a lot, especially when Patrik accidentally ate hot sauce, and they spent minutes looking for some liquid to ease the fire in his mouth. Every moment with Patrik was easy, Édi began to feel more and more that the boy fits her perfectly.
The store's evening traffic slowly subsided, so she was finally able to take a break. When she started to load the shelves, her phone vibrated in her pocket. Patrik wrote him a message saying that when she finishes work, he will pick her up to take her somewhere. Édi quickly replied to the message that she was happy to go anywhere with him, this brought a smile to her face again, she was sitting on pins and needles waiting for the end of her working hours.
- You shouldn't be using your phone during working hours, didn't you know that? - Marcell suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He has a strong voice in his voice, and it seems as if there is some hurt mixed in as well.
- It was just a message - she tried to save herself. Marci suggested the girl for a long time, as if she wanted to see into her head to find out what she was hiding.
- I hope that someone is really special if you deal with them during working hours, and not with your work - Marci said, with a slight sneer in his voice and as if a little bitterness was hidden - we don't pay you to press your phone.
Édua blushed in confusion and lowered her head. She felt in Marcell's voice that it was not only strictness, but also a strange, personal edge.
She finished her shift at nine o'clock in the evening, by the end she was very exhausted, but the thought of the date filled her with energy. She quickly put on her coat in the dressing room, it was colder than usual that night, so she was sure. As she stepped outside the store, the cold evening air hit her face, but she immediately saw Patrik, who was walking closer to her with a smile on his face.
- Hi - the boy greeted her and pulled her into a gentle hug. Édua inhaled the boy's slightly cinnamon scent, which she had come to love during this week. She was about to answer, but the shop door opened again and Marcell stepped out. The man immediately rooted to the ground as soon as he saw Édua and Patrik, who just then split into two. He watched them silently for a while, then forced a neutral, hard-to-read expression on his face.
- Good night, Édua - he finally said.
But the girl stammered in confusion. They were still standing the same way, silence settled between them again, but Patrik didn't let it last too long.
– I'm Patrik - he extended his hand to Marci. Marci studied Patrik for a moment, then accepted the handshake. His grip was stronger than it should have been, trying to show that he was superior.
- Marcell - he answered in a tight voice - I was happy - with that he turned the corner and walked to his car.
- Is your boss always like this? - Patrik turned to Édua again.
- Not really, he's just strict - replied Édi in confusion.
- It seemed more than strict to me - remarked Patrik a little bitterly, raising his eyebrows curiously.
- Don't bother with him, he's a bit confused - she tried to calm the boy down - would you rather tell me where we're going? - quickly diverted the topic.
- It's a surprise, but I can tell you this much, there won't be any hot sauce - Patrik laughed to himself. Édua was relieved that the boy was no longer dealing with her boss. She couldn't explain herself Marci's behavior, but she didn't want to think about him for the rest of the evening.
They walked only fifteen minutes when Patrik stopped in front of the bar called Campus. Édua's eyes light up, she loves going to this place, the pool table is the best in town. She looked around excitedly as they entered the retro style bar. The place was filled with laughter, some music was playing softly, and in the corner one of the two pool tables was free. They stopped at the bar to get themselves a drink.
- What are you drinking? We're kicking the hell out tonight! - Patrik hit the counter confidently.
- Vodka orange, but I'll tell you in advance, if you want to drink it, your wallet will be sorry, you got mixed up with a big party champion - Édua winked mischievously.
- Honey, I was there at most of the parties, you don't need to tell me what you're like when you party - the boy leaned closer to Édua's face.
- How about a little challenge? - asked Patrik as he put money in the pool table so that the balls would come out.
- What challenge? - Édi's eyes twinkled curiously.
- If I win, I can ask you anything - Patrik measured the girl mischievously - if you win, the same, only the other way around.
- I'm in, I win anyway - Édua laughed confidently.
- We'll see - Patrik sipped his drink suspiciously.
As they started the game, Patrik made a decisive push, which caused three balls to hit the target. In the end, the striped ones became his, and Édi's the winter ones. His shot after that narrowly missed the hole, so Édi was next. She carefully surveyed the terrain, figured out from which position she could surely shoot the bullet. She executed her first shot precisely, it wasn't as spectacular as Patrik's, but the boy cut it off that the girl also knew how to play.
During the game, Patrik tried to drive the water to his own mill with strong shots to gain an advantage, but Édua always brought herself back. Both of them were left with only the black ball, which they fiddled with the longest as they had to shoot at two opposite ends of the table. Patrik placed the black ball in front of Édi's goal as a result of a careless shot. He cursed himself for messing up the shot so badly, he was already sure who would be the winner.
- I want a kiss - she said confidently.
Patrik did not protest, he approached the girl without hesitation. He smoothed his hand over her face and pulled her into a soft kiss. As the moments passed, the soft kiss was replaced by a much fiercer, more passionate kiss battle. At that moment, everything around them stopped, they completely lost their self-control. They could hardly separate from each other, but they had to because of their heated state. Patrik looked towards the toilet, there were many things on his mind about what he would do with the girl in there now. Édua followed the boy's gaze, quickly realizing why Patrik was staring at the toilet. She turned the boy towards her with a grin on her face, she wanted to let him know that she would be in on a little action.
