"Laura, Laura! Where are you?" I heard Tristan calling me and knew he would never find me. A few minutes later he walked underneath me, as my best friend he should know that unlike most I had no problems climbing trees.

Laura, come out now, I know you can hear me. You know what your father will do to me if I come back without you."

He sighed and dropped his shoulders. Clearly aware that he wouldn't find me if I didn't want to be found.

But I couldn't let him go back alone because I knew indeed what my father the Alpha would do to him, I would never do that to my best friend.

My parents were Alpha Marco and Luna Beatrix and they were exactly what you would expect from an Alpha and Luna. My father was tall, broad and muscular. A true protector, someone who terrifies his opponent just by standing upright. Even without the use of his Alpha gifts.

My mother was the opposite, she had a sweet and gentle appearance, really someone to whom you can tell all your problems and feelings. That is also her role as Luna of our pack, she ensures that everyone feels comfortable and safe.

And I was a mix of my parents. As the daughter of Alpha and Luna, I should actually be more like my mother. I would be the future Luna of my mate's pack. But I also had a lot from my father, so I was bigger and stronger than the average woman. Not that there weren't other strong female fighters in our pack, but I was stronger than Kevin the future Beta of our pack.

Tristan walked back under my tree, I jumped down and landed right next to him. He was so startled that he growled and lunged, but I was faster and dodged him.

"Let's go home shall we?" I said.

With a deep sigh he nodded his head and we started walking.
