Chapter 1 - Fated To Meet

Outside, the sky above the New Dawn slum screams in turmoil. Torrential rain pounds against the rusted tin roofs of the dilapidated houses, mingling with the roar of thunder and lightning, creating an oppressive atmosphere. Amidst the chaos, a white figure darts at an incredible speed through the dark alleys and crumbling buildings, racing toward an unknown target

In a small house at the edge of the slum, the dim light of a single candle flickers, illuminating faces filled with anxiety. The mother, pale and drenched in sweat, lies on a tattered mattress, breathing heavily. Beside her, the husband grips her hand tightly, his voice trembling but still trying to offer encouragement

"Hold on, my love, just a little longer. You can do this!"

The small house lacks modern equipment or the help of professional doctors. Instead, an elderly woman, retired with her silver-streaked hair, focuses intently on delivering the baby. Her hands tremble slightly, yet they move with the skill and experience of someone who has done this many times before. Outside, the rain continues to pour, blending with the howling wind seeping through the cracks in the rotting wooden walls

In the distance, the white figure races on, cutting through the night and rain like an arrow, drawing closer and closer

"The baby is almost here, just a little more!" the elderly midwife encourages, her voice rising above the chaotic sounds of the storm outside

Inside the cramped room, the mother's breaths grow quicker and more labored. The husband's face is tense, but a flicker of hope shines in his eyes. Finally, after a tremendous effort, the newborn's first cry pierces through the gloomy air of the small room

"It's a success!" The elderly woman exclaims joyfully, carefully lifting the tiny, newborn boy and handing him to the exhausted but radiant mother

"You're so strong, my love" the husband says, holding his wife's hand as his eyes glisten with tears

Looking at the baby lying beside her, the mother, weak but smiling with pure happiness, whispers

"It's a boy... absolutely wonderful..."

She gently touched the baby's cheek, her voice filled with love

"Welcome to this world, Sunn-"

Her words were abruptly cut off. The smile on the mother's face vanished as her gaze froze, locking onto a dark corner of the room. There, a figure had appeared unnoticed by anyone

Seeing the sudden silence of his wife, the husband and the elderly woman followed her gaze and saw a strange woman standing quietly, her long silver hair gleaming despite the dim light in the room. Her eyes were sharp, commanding, radiating an aura that was both aristocratic and cold

"Who are you!? Why are you here!?" the husband shouted, stepping in front of his wife and child, his eyes filled with panic

The woman did not answer. She simply raised her hand slowly, palm facing the three of them. A profound sense of danger flooded the small room

"Run!" the husband screamed, rushing toward his wife and child, while the elderly woman tried to retreat. The mother instinctively hugged the baby tightly, shielding him with her body

But it was all in vain

From the woman's outstretched hand, streams of dark red blood shot out like sharp thorns at terrifying speed. They cut through the air, piercing the throats and reaching the brains of all three. Their screams were choked in their throats as blood sprayed throughout the room

The husband collapsed next to his wife, his hand still reaching for her one last time. The mother, her eyes wide with terror, held her child to her chest until her final breath. The elderly woman, the only one to witness the horrific scene, also met the same tragic end

The room fell into silence, the only sound remaining was the baby's cries blending with the steady rain outside

The woman stepped closer, the sound of her high heels clicking sharply on the wooden floor. She bent down, casually pushing the bodies aside. Her hands, as white as ivory, gently lifted the baby

When the baby was lifted, it suddenly stopped crying. Its innocent eyes widened, staring at the beautiful yet cold face of the woman in front of it. Her eyes, sharp and platinum, mirrored the long hair cascading down her shoulders

"At last, I've finally found you" she whispered, her gaze lingering on the baby's wrist, where a faint red thread connected to her own neck
