 "Carter wake up!!" My mother yelled at me from downstairs. Groggily, I sat up, got out of bed, and promptly faceplanted onto the floor. what a wonderful way to start the day I grumbled sarcastically. I stood up. Annoyed, I did my daily routine before quickly sprinting out the door and yelling halfhearted farewells to my mom.
 On my way to school I did my usual meditative walk. I focused on my surroundings. The rich smell of freshly cut grass, the sound of dogs barking, the neighbor's lawn mower rumbling. And then I moved on. While I was walking, I noticed the sun started to dim a bit that's weird I didn't think a solar eclipse was due for a while. Little did I know this phenomenon signaled something so profound I never would imagine it or even wish it upon someone else.Â
 Suddenly I heard a loud honking noise. and noticed a truck barreling towards me. well, shit I thought in resignation. The next thing I knew... BANG! The truck slammed into me pinning me against my neighbor's fence. I scanned the bloody scene around me. The truck was on fire. The putrid smell of smoke and burning flesh wafted into my nostrils. But somehow. even after all of this... I was alive. No not only was I alive. I was... Unscathed? But how!? I tried to scan my mind for something... any answer as to what the hell just happened. I turned up with no explanation.
 I looked at the man in the front seat of the truck. his face was half charred. his body full of glass shards sticking out of him like a porcupine. I could tell from the way things happened that this idiot of a person was drunk. Just my luck I thought dejectedly. Suddenly... BOOOOOM! the truck exploded... and yet: I am still unscathed I thought incredulously.Â
 Just then, I heard the sound of growling. I looked up to see a massive, house sized cat, with horns for whiskers and a third eye. I got the urge to run. I ran. faster and faster. not leaving time to stop. and suddenly I faceplanted into an invisible barrier and fell flat on my butt. suddenly a loud, female voice sounded from behind the barrier "Boran INTE (freeze)!" Suddenly the terrifying behemoth sat on its haunches. I stared at the woman. dumbfounded. "TH- THAT THING IS YOUR PET!?" I yelled in shock and disbelief. "Oh, so you can see my dear pet Boran" The woman stated nonchalantly I stared at this woman. Well, no shit. That thing is bigger than my house! I thought in utter annoyance at this woman's stupidity. "Ah, you have quite the resentful thoughts" The woman stated. "IM SORRY WHAT!? YOU CAN-" before I could finish, the lady cut me off "read your mind? yes. I can.
