Yoichi Isagi raced down the field, the ball in his possession. The current score was 1-0 in the favor of the opposing team, Matsukaze Kokuo. Isagi knew that if he scored here, they would have another chance at making it to nationals.
He could hear his team yell out from the bench, cheering him on. Isagi took a deep breath as he knew he needed to focus. "If we win, we can go to nationals!" Isagi thought as he charged.
After breaking past one last defender, Isagi was in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. If he made this shot, if he broke past the goal keeper, he could go to nationals. However, he was snapped out of his thoughts by his teammate.
"Isagi, I'm open!" Tada, Isagi's teammate, yelled out.
Isagi was hesitant to pass, but after his coach yelled out about how the sport was team game, Isagi made a swift pass directly to Tada. It was a perfect set-up, just what they needed. Unfortunately, when Tada slammed his foot into the ball, it smacked into the goal post.
"Shit..." Isagi muttered as he watched the ball fall to an opponent. That player then passed the ball up to Matsukaze Kokuo's ace, Ryosuke Kira.
Kira sprinted through, getting past the few defenders in the back. And then, with one swift kick, Kira shot the ball directly into the net, making the score 2-0.
It wasn't long after when the whistle was blew, signaling the end of the game.

Isagi sat on his bed, staring at the floor. It was the night of the loss and he still couldn't get it out of his head. He didn't know if he wanted to cry, yell, or something else. He just sat there in silence. However, the peacefulness of his room was interrupted as a light appeared.
Looking up, Isagi saw a blue screen in front of him. It took him a second to process what was happening before he suddenly stood up. The screen raised with him, being lined up with his eyes. Looking deeper, Isagi saw white bold words.
Congratulations! You have been awarded a Silver Card!
"A Silver Card?" Isagi cocked his head to the side, questioning if this was reality or not. He pinched his cheek, feeling a sharp pain for a few seconds. Under the initial words were two option boxes.
[Open] or [Save]
Isagi swallowed hardly before reaching out and clicking Open. The screen then changed, the words being replaced by a silver rectangle. Isagi assumed that was the card. On the card was a title and a description under it.
Perfect Touch
-The user knows exactly where to place their foot on the ball for the most optimal scoring opportunity. Cost 10 SP.
"What the hell?" Isagi muttered. Right under the title, there was some more text.
Kicking Ability
"This is so weird." Isagi said as he plopped back onto the bed, the screen vanishing. He convinced himself he was going crazy, but the curiosity filled him. He rushed outside, grabbing a ball.
He placed it down as he simulated a penalty kick. He aimed to shoot the ball up to the left corner of the net. With a deep breath, he ran up to the ball. As he cocked his leg back, a pinpoint target appeared on the ball.
Isagi kicked the ball where the target was, launching the ball to the left corner as planned. "Woah." Isagi said as he took a step back. He didn't know how he unlocked what he did, but he was excited to learn more about his new power.
Though, he was wondering about the part where it said it cost 10 SP. As if reading his thoughts, the 'System' opened up a screen. This time, it was a wider screen. It was almost like a profile. It listed his name and age. Even a picture of his face was there. There was more however. At the bottom of the screen, it read 'Current Abilities'. There was only one slot taken up, taken up by 'Perfect Touch'.
Under his picture, there was a 90/100 SP. Isagi now knew what the 'Cost 10 SP' was referring to, but he didn't know what SP was. He decided the only way to find out was by using 'Perfect Touch' until his SP hit 0.

A few minutes went by and Isagi had used 'Perfect Touch' multiple times. He was exhausted. When he opened up his profile, he saw that his SP was 10/100. It was then Isagi realized that SP probably meant stamina points, like in video games. He played video games before, but most were football games so he had little knowledge when it came to stuff like that.
Isagi decided it was time to take a shower and go to bed. It was pretty late already.

As Isagi laid in bed, drifting off to sleep, he wondered that when he woke up would the system be gone. If it was all just his imagination...
