On the streets of London a young man around 18 years old could be seen gawking at a weird looking old man. The old man had skin that was as black as obsidian with horns on his head that curled like a rams. He also had pitch black wings that looked like a bats. The reason the young man was gawking is because nobody seemed to notice this odd sight almost like they couldn't.
'what the fuck?! How does no one see this?'
As for the old man he seemed to be smirking at the young man before he waved and disappeared in a column of black smoke. Before the young man could disipher what had happened he felt a burning pain in his chest before looking down to see his heart in a black clawed hand.
The young man robotically turned his head only to see the same old man smiling behind him. *Shiver* The smile wasn't that of an old man it was the smile of a devil who thrives on the pain of another.
"Hihihi...hello young Aurther, I'm sorry but I was ordered by my master to kill you. It seems you're a threat to his plan. I honestly don't see how seeing as how you're just a weak human...but I can't disobey. Good bye."
As the demon said that he ripped his clawed hand back while crushing Aurther's heart. Aurther's eyes dimmed and his body fell to the concrete blood pooling around him. His last thought was
'Death...I'm not ready to die!'
And then nothing everything went black. The next time he opened his eyes he was floating around in the void.
'Damn I thought I was dead for s...WHERE THE FUCK AM I!?'
He stopped thinking and looked seeing absolutely nothing. He then looked down and panicked noticing his lack of a corporeal form.
"Fufufu...I'm sorry to interrupt. But I need to get started on processing you so that we may determine you're destination. Oh by the way I'm Lucaria Goddess of Death and Destruction. And you are?"
Aurther jumped and scrambled backwards away from the person who just spoke behind him. He took a look only to notice the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. She had a sharp angular face with bright green flowing eyes and long flowing pink hair. She had tribal and floral like markings along her body seemingly like tattoos. She was quite voluptuous but for some reason she was wearing a black bikini like outfit with skull motifs. But what really caught his attention were the nine foxtails behind her and the fox ears atop her head.
'Beautiful. She's got to be a nine tailed fox no way she isn't.'
He nodded sagely to himself then proceeded to answer her as he wasn't sure if this so called goddess could read his mind. That's how it usually works in the novels and manga he reads so for now he is going with that thought and running with it.
"My name is Aurther von Sterian...as for what happened I was killed by a demon who stated that his master ordered him to kill me. Said and I quote "I'm a threat to his master plan" whatever that means." He grumbled that last part.
Lucaria frowned then pulled out a book that had a sinister like aura with a Skull on the front reading 'Book of the dead'. She kept flipping through the pages until she reached the very end. At this point she was seething as currently the soul that was in front of her was not in the book which could only mean...
"you're not supposed to be dead... It wasn't your time."
She mummbled to low for Aurther to hear. She sighed the decided to look into the souls life. He lived a good life he had created many games that made him quite a good income. He was never arrogant but gave money to multiple Charity's and even to hospital's that specifically help children. Lucaria's eyes widened in shock his good karma is outrageous sure he had negative karma but it was inconsequential to the amount of good he had. She seems to think of a great idea while Aurther was seemingly oblivious to what was going on.
"So Aurther you have 3 options in front of you. The first is you can go to heaven and enjoy peace. The second option is to reincarnate normally and live again with no memories. And finally the last option is you can make a deal with me and I can use the massive amount of good karma you have to grant you 3 wishes with no limit on what they are, and you can choose to reincarnate into a world of your choosing."
Aurther thought about the options and immediately crossed out the first one as to him heaven was a place of boredom.
'The second option is okay...but the third option is better the only problem is I don't know what the deal for it will be.'
Aurther frowned while looking at the goddess trying to see through her and decipher her motive. He sighs "What exactly does this deal entail?" He asked cautiously while observing her. Lucaria giggled while trying to maintain a serious expression. She coughs
"Ahem...well what I want is to watch you while you do whatever you want in your new life." She said while looking at him innocently
Aurther's eyes narrowed. Suspicious! He decided to let it go for now, but he would have to keep an eye on her.
"I'll take the 3rd option... My first wish is to make a custom made system. 2nd I want 2 growth items a weapon and armor that will change to suit the user. 3rd I want to create my own race. As for the world a random world...surprise me." Aurther stated his wishes to see if the goddess would go back on her word.
Lucaria was surprised she kind of expected more OP wishes. I mean come on she remembers one dude who wanted to one punch everything, then there was that guy who wanted to become Zeus. So she was kind of expecting something along those lines.
"Alright. Are you sure you want the world to be random? You could end up in a world like marvel or an AU if you don't choose."
Aurther hid the smirk that was tarting to grow. He didn't want the goddess to look into his wishes while she had yet to grant them.
"Yes I'm sure I don't want the hassle of trying to come up with ideas just make it random." He replied lazily.
Lucaria nodded then pulled out a panel and handed it to him.
"This will allow you to create your own unique system and also create your race. As soon as your done the race will intergrate with you automatically as well as your system."
Aurther took the panel and took almost a week to complete working on the system. Now all he had to do was create his race which he just took a bunch of races and took their abilities and racial characteristics and mashed them into one race. He couldn't believe the goddess let this happen but he was ready. As soon as he pushed the DONE button the panel turned transparent and flew inside his soul.
"Looks like you're done...well while it was nice meeting you you should be on your way. Have a nice second life remember I'll be watching from time to time...I also forgot to tell you I'll be able to talk to you every now and then. Keep me entertained."
With that she waved her hand and Aurther's soul began to dissipate into mist and flew off in a random direction. And a new adventure begins.
