Chereads / A Love Deal with Heartless Devil / Chapter 7 - The dark seduction

Chapter 7 - The dark seduction

The evening was colder than usual, a thick silence hanging in the air as Aarohi stepped into the Penthouse. It was the kind of silence that made everything feel too loud — the sound of her heartbeat pounding in her chest, the soft click of her heels on the polished floor, the shallow breaths she couldn't control.

Rohit stood near the windows, looking out at the city lights below. He didn't turn as she entered, and for a moment, she wasn't sure if he'd even noticed her. But the moment the door clicked shut behind her, he spoke.

"You came," his voice was low, but there was a trace of satisfaction in it. "I wasn't sure if you would."

Aarohi stood still, her hands at her sides, unsure of what to do with herself. She had never felt so exposed, so vulnerable. It was like walking into a storm, knowing that the winds would tear her apart, but feeling an irresistible pull toward it anyway.

She opened her mouth to speak but found herself at a loss for words. What could she possibly say to him? The night before, they had both crossed a line — one she hadn't known existed until it was too late. Now, standing in front of him again, all she felt was a mixture of desire and dread.

"You don't have to say anything," Rohit said, his voice softer now, as if he could read her thoughts. He finally turned to face her, his gaze intense and all-consuming. "I already know everything you're thinking."

The way he looked at her made her skin flush, but she refused to let him see how much he affected her. She was supposed to be in control — she had always been in control. But with him, it felt like she was losing herself.

"I didn't come here to talk," Aarohi said, finally finding her voice. It came out stronger than she expected, but it was still laced with something she couldn't name — something that made her want to step closer, to close the distance between them.

Rohit smiled, a slow, dangerous smile that made her heart skip. "Then why did you come?" he asked, taking a step toward her.

She didn't answer immediately, her breath catching in her throat. She didn't know why she had come. She should have stayed away. But something about him — his presence, his power — made it impossible to resist.

"Maybe because I'm not as immune to you as I'd like to believe," she whispered, her voice thick with honesty, and a touch of vulnerability that she hadn't meant to reveal.

Rohit took another step forward, closing the gap between them until they were inches apart. His gaze never wavered, never softened. "Aarohi," he murmured, his hand reaching out to lightly trace the line of her jaw. "You're not immune to me. You never have been."

Her heart pounded in her chest as she fought to stay composed. But it was getting harder, the air around them charged with something far too intense to ignore.

"You think I'm just a game to you?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. "That I'll fall for your tricks, for your manipulation?"

Rohit's lips curled into a smirk. "I don't have to manipulate you, Aarohi. You're already playing the game. You just don't know it yet."

His words hit her like a punch to the gut, and for a moment, she didn't know how to respond. It was true. She had come here willingly, drawn to him, even if she hated to admit it. She had let him in — and now, she couldn't find a way out.

Before she could say anything else, he cupped her face, his touch gentle, but his grip firm enough to send a spark of heat through her body.

"I warned you, remember?" he said, his voice dropping low, almost a growl. "Once you step into my world, there's no going back."

Aarohi's pulse quickened, her breath shallow as she looked into his eyes. There was no warmth in them, no compassion — only a dark, intoxicating intensity that promised nothing but danger.

But even then, she didn't pull away.

He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a kiss that was slow, deliberate, like a storm building before it broke. It wasn't a gentle kiss. It was full of demand, of power, of the unspoken understanding that neither of them was in control anymore.

Aarohi's hands found their way to his chest, her fingers gripping the fabric of his shirt as if she needed something to hold on to, something to steady her. But nothing could steady her now. Not when his mouth was claiming hers, not when she felt the heat of his body against hers, making her feel things she had long buried.

His hands roamed down to her waist, pulling her closer, and Aarohi's breath hitched. She could feel the strength in his arms, the tension in his body, the way he controlled every moment between them.

When they finally broke apart, both of them were breathless, their bodies trembling with the aftermath of their kiss. Rohit's forehead rested against hers, his breath coming in ragged gasps.

"Tell me, Aarohi," he whispered, his voice low and rough, "Do you still think you're in control?"

Aarohi swallowed, her mind racing as she tried to find her footing in this new, dangerous world he had pulled her into. She wanted to say something — to fight back, to claim her independence. But the words died in her throat.

Instead, she just nodded, her body betraying her in ways she didn't understand.

Rohit smiled, but it was a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "Good," he murmured, his lips brushing against her forehead. "Because tonight, you won't have any control at all."

The air in the Penthouse was thick with tension, and as the seconds passed, Aarohi could feel the weight of Rohit's words hanging over her like a dark cloud, threatening to consume her. His touch still lingered on her skin, his kiss still fresh on her lips, and everything inside her screamed to pull away, to regain some semblance of control.

But she didn't move.

Instead, she stood there, trapped between the man who seemed to want to claim her and the woman she had always been — strong, independent, unwilling to surrender.

Rohit's gaze never left her. His eyes were darker now, something feral in them as he watched her, as though he were waiting for her to make the next move.

"Are you going to keep testing me, or are you going to finally admit that you're in over your head?" he asked, his voice rough, sending a chill through her body.

Aarohi opened her mouth, but no words came. How could she admit what she didn't even understand herself? How could she admit that, despite all her defiance, she was dangerously close to losing herself in him?

Rohit seemed to read her thoughts. He stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. Every inch of him was a storm, every step he took drawing her deeper into his orbit.

"Let me show you something," he said, his voice softer now, coaxing, as if he were trying to pull something out of her, something she wasn't sure she was ready to face.

Aarohi's breath caught in her throat, but she didn't step back. The desire in his eyes was undeniable, a hunger that was raw and unrelenting. And the worst part was, she wasn't sure if she wanted him to stop.

"Rohit," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly, "What do you want from me?"

He smiled, but it wasn't a smile that reassured her. It was a smile full of knowing, of power.

"I want you to understand what you're dealing with," he said, his fingers gently caressing the side of her face, trailing down her jaw. "You think you can walk away, that you can control this, control me. But you can't."

Aarohi felt a surge of frustration and defiance, but it was quickly drowned by the intense pull he had over her. She wanted to fight it. She really did. But his touch, the heat radiating off his body, the sound of his voice — it made everything inside her ache for something she couldn't name.

"Don't test me, Aarohi," Rohit murmured, his lips brushing against her ear. "You're already caught. The moment you stepped into my world, you became mine."

She didn't know if the words stung or thrilled her, but they settled deep inside her, twisting and turning in ways that left her breathless. She was no longer sure where the game ended and where reality began.

Without warning, Rohit's lips found hers again, this time with more urgency. The kiss was fierce, possessive, and Aarohi found herself yielding to it, her hands moving to grip the back of his neck, pulling him closer. There was no turning back now.

The heat between them was suffocating, their bodies pressing against each other as if they couldn't get close enough. His hands roamed down her back, pulling her body flush against his, and Aarohi's mind raced, torn between the desire to push him away and the overwhelming need to stay.

Rohit pulled away for a moment, his lips hovering above hers, his breath coming in ragged gasps. "This is what you wanted, right?" he whispered, his voice dark with desire. "To feel this, to feel me?"

Aarohi's heart was hammering in her chest, and despite herself, she nodded. She couldn't deny it. Every part of her wanted him — wanted to lose herself in him, even though she knew it was dangerous.

Rohit smiled again, this time a little darker, a little more victorious. "You're mine now," he said, his voice low and commanding. "And there's nothing you can do about it."

The words sent a shiver down her spine, but there was no fear in her. Just a strange kind of surrender. She didn't want to fight him anymore. She didn't want to fight this pull between them. It was too strong, too consuming.

Rohit's lips were back on hers in an instant, this time with a ferocity that matched the storm raging inside both of them. He kissed her deeply, hungrily, and Aarohi's body responded to him as if it were made for this, made for him.

She could feel the tension building between them, an electric charge that made her heart race, made her pulse throb with anticipation. She knew where this was going, and yet, she couldn't bring herself to stop it. She was caught in his web, and every move he made only tightened the threads.

He broke the kiss again, his eyes locking with hers. There was a predatory gleam in his gaze, something dark and undeniable.

"I told you," he said, his voice low and intense. "You're mine. And tonight, you're going to prove it to me."

Aarohi's mind spun as she tried to process his words. She should be terrified. She should be running. But instead, she found herself standing there, her body betraying her, her heart racing with a mixture of fear and desire.

Rohit stepped back, his hands leaving her body, and Aarohi felt the sudden emptiness in the space between them. But before she could even react, he reached for her hand and led her toward the bedroom.

There was no turning back now. She had crossed the line. And now, she had to face the consequences of the dangerous game they were both playing .
