Chapter 2 - snakebit

The chapter opens on the Destiny's Bounty with the ninja sleeping when a banging noise wakes them up.

Wu: Evil doesn't sleep and neither should you! (He bangs a gong.)

The ninja groan.

Wu: In order to reach your full potential, we must greet each day as an opportunity.

Kai: (gets up) Okay okay, we're up. But if you want us to reach full potential, shouldn't we at least get a full night of rest? (yawn)

Cole: (stretching his back) You call that a rest? I think my back has more lumps than the mattress.

Jay: We were up so late, talking about how cool it is to have a new headquarters, I guess we lost track of time. Since the Serpentine burned down our monastery, I'm just glad we have a roof over our head

Jay tarts to brush his teeth and spits out some dirt that replaced his toothpaste.

Zane: What is our lesson today, Sensei? Mastering the Strike of the Scorpion? Or perhaps the grace of— (the ground break and he cough)

Wu: I think today's lesson would be chores.

Ninja: Chores?!

Cole: Ninja fight, Sensei! They do not clean.

Jinx: just going to ask do i have to do this?

Wu: yes you do Jinx since you joined the team last night but now In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from. And this place is a long way from becoming a ninja headquarters. I expect things to be spotless when I return. And put your backs into it. (Bangs the gong again)

Kai: (grumbling) This place is gonna take forever to clean and fix up.

Jay: Unless we put more than our backs into it, huh?

We switch to a junk filled room with cole in the center and he smirks.

Cole: Ninja, go!

Cole Cleans up the room with Spinjitzu. He takes out all the trash and put it outside of the Bounty.we then appear in another room with kai and zane.

Kai and Zane: (Zane throws the Shurikens of Ice toward the walls of Destiny's Bounty to freeze it. Kai uses the Sword of Fire on the ice) Ninja, go! (Both of them uses Spinjitzu to melt the rest.)

We then see Jinx on the deck and he starts gathering and condensing the air around him in a dome which he copied from avatar called air dome. Once he felt that it was enough he released it bowling all the dust away but also causing a sand storm which he made stop but as a consequence their was sand everywhere which mae him sigh then started to use his wind in small doses to clear the sand.

Cole and Kai are fixing the machines inside the Destiny's Bounty. Jay uncovers a huge computer system and he tries to use the Nunchucks of Lightning to fix it. All the ninja try to fix the canvas.

Nya and Sensei Wu enter a room to find the guys playing a video game except Jay and Jinx who offered to teach him spinjitzu.

Kai: What took you so long?

Nya: Wow, This place looks amazing! You guys did all this?

Cole: Ninja don't just fight, Nya. We clean.

Wu: Oh, you have exceeded my expectations...

A Car honk is heard.

Wu: ...but can you keep it up?

Ed and Edna, Jay's parents, are coming over to visit them.

Nya: Looks like we're about have some visitors, and loud ones at that.

Jay: (Sigh) Ugh...It's my parents. Please, if they start yapping, just don't let them going, okay? They don't know when to quit. And if you start talking, then they'll start talking. And suddenly, half the day is gone before you know it ends...

Kai: (cuts in) We get it! They talk a lot! (mumbles to Zane) The cherry doesn't fall far from its blossom.

Ed and Edna arrive.

Ed: Oh, heh. Take a note, Edna: either better brakes or a better bumper... Oh, will you look at all this great stuff? They can't just get rid of it. We should have brought the trailer, Edna.

Edna: This ain't a flea market, Ed. We're here for Jay!

Ed: What was that? Did you take a note?

Edna: I'm writing it down, Ed.

Jay: (acts happy) Mom! Dad! What are you doing here?

Edna: Oh, look! It's my baby boy! It's been so long since we heard from you!

Jay: Ma, I called you two days ago.

Ed: (giggle) Oh well... It's not soon enough, son. When are you coming out to the junkyard? You say you are coming an..an..and you don't.

Jay: Dad...do we have to talk about the junkyard in front of my friends?

Edna: He hates it when we tell people he was born in a junkyard. (Looks at Nya) Oh... and who are you? (gasp) You are so cute! You are just my son's type.

Jay: Mom!

Nya: It's a pleasure of meeting you. I'm sure if you want, Jay can give you a tour. He worked very hard on it.

Ed & Edna: We'd love a tour!

Jay knocks his head and sighs. He then shows his parents the Bounty.

Jay: And this the bridge. This extends into a periscope. This tells what's going on of Ninjago. And this...if a Serpentine's not giving us the answer we want, and we're late up night..

Edna: (cuts in) A neuro apparatus to read their minds?

Ed: An audio appliance to make them talk?

Jay: No, a cappuccino machine.

Jinx: that also serves milkshakes and hot chocolate

Ed: Haha. Amazing, son! We're so proud of you.

Cole: Why don't you tell them about the button?

Jay: Heh heh it's not ready yet.

Edna: Oh, what's the button?

Zane: He's working on a special defense system.

Kai: Something every ninja headquarters needs.

Jinx: well every ship hq needs anyway.

Ed: Oh, really? What does it do? Can I help?

Jay: No, it's okay. I don't need your help, dad. Let's just leave it alone. Hey, look at the time. Don't you need to get back before it gets dark? I told you, there's dangerous Serpentine out there.

Ed: Uh, I suppose we could get back.

Cole: Edna, it was a pleasure hearing about Jay's first potty time.

Jinx: or maybe any embarrassing love stories of his childhood

Edna: Oh, wait until you hear the story about the time I caught him kissing his pillow!

Jay: (reminding) Snakes, Ma. Snakes!

Jinx smacks jay over the head to shut him up and whispered to show respect.

Edna: Okay, we're going. We're going.

Edna: So you promise to come to the junkyard to visit your mother and father?

Jay: Yes, I promise! But only if you leave. I don't want you to get hurt. It's getting dark. Uh, your headlights are working, right?

Smacks smacks him harder in his head with a wind enhanced slap which knocked him towards the floor. And at that moment Ed turns on headlights. Everyone grunts as they shield their eyes.

Ed: Heh, like 'em? I used a little extra juice. (Turns off headlights) Yep. Bye, son. I couldn't be more proud.

Ed: And bring Nya with you, will ya? I can see why you like her.

Jay: Mom…!

Wu: Now that they have left, perhaps Jay can teach us The Art of… Kissing Pillows. (He snickers.)

Jay: Argh!

Everyone laughs as he walks back in the Bounty, embarrassed.

We then quickly switch to ed and edna driving back towards their home.

Ed: I don't think he's coming, dear.

Edna: Stop it, Ed. He's coming.

Ed: No, he doesn't need us anymore. I just have to remember that. Uh, write it down for me, would ya?

Edna: Oh, dear. Lights, dear. It's getting dark.

Ed: Right, heh. Thanks, sugarplum.

At the Cemetery of Souls

Lloyd: It's not scary. Um, maybe just a little, but I like scary. Yeah, that's it. I'm the son of the Dark Lord. I love the dark. I eat this stuff for breakfast. (Screams) I'm gonna make those Hypnobrai pay for betraying me. I have to find the Fangpyres. If there's anything a snake doesn't like, it's another snake. Here, by the mutated tree. I found it! (grunts) Soon, the Serpentine will know who their master is, and it will be I, Lloyd Garmadon! (He laughs evilly as lightning crackles.) Ahhh! (He opens the Fangpyre Tomb and screams as the Fangpyre General emerges.)

Fangtom #1: And who...

Fangtom #2: ...may I say released us...

Fangtom #1: ...from our captivity?

Lloyd: Uh, Lloyd. I released you to make the Hypnobrai pay for betraying me.

Fangtom #2: The Hypnobrai?!

Fangtom #1: Those hypnotizing deceivers!

Fangtom #2: It'll be...

Fangtom #1: ...our pleasure.

Lloyd: Oh, good. I'll lead the way. Then after that, there's some ninja I want dealt with.

Fangtom #1: Sounds like...

Fangtom #2: ...you know...

Fangtom #1: ...what you want.

Fangtom #2: But the Hypnobrai are strong.

Fangtom #1: And we are few in numbers.

Fangtom #2: We need...

Fangtom #1: ...reinforcements!

Lloyd: What did you have in mind?

Fangtom hisses as the rest of the Fangpyre rise from the tomb as Lloyd once again laughs evilly.

At the junkyard

Ed: Home, sweet home. And back to the grind. (Picks up toolbox and heads toward the Mechanical Ninja)

Edna: Oh, sweetie. You've been working on that thing day and night.

Ed: Well, you never know when Jay may show up.

Edna: Oh, you're right. You never know.

(A dark silhouette passes by.)

Ed: Uh, Edna? Was that you?

Edna: What, Ed? Are you hearing things again?

Ed: Uh, you uh, you turned on the security alarm before you left, didn't ya, hun?

Edna: (goes to check the alarm, but nothing happens) Uh, must be broken.

The then power goes out making them more scared.

Ed: Whoever's there, my son knows Spinjitzu! (A Fangpyre hisses.)

Edna: What is it, Ed? Oh, why are the lights out?

Ed: Call Jay, hun. Someone's broken in!

Lloyd: How about we wait until he calls you? (He holds up the phone with a broken cord.) Muahahaha!

Edna: Ed...

Ed: Be strong, Edna. I won't let them hurt you.

Fangtom #1: If we plan...

Fangtom #2: ...to attack...

Fangtom #1: ...the Hypnobrai...

Fangtom #2: ...we'll need to grow...

Fangtom #1: ...our army.

Lloyd: And, uh, how do we do that?

Fangtom #2: Let's just say...

Fangtom #1: ...we Fangpyre bite off more...

Fangtom #2: ...than we can chew.

Fangtom #1: Have at it, boys!

Fangpyres start biting old vehicles.

Ed: My creations! They are turning them into—!

Fangtom #1: An army?

Fangtom #2: You are correct!

Fangtom #1: But we can also…

Fangtom #2: …turn people, too.

Time skip to morning. Jay is working on the button. Kai and Zane pass by

Kai: Sure got a lot of junk piling up. If only there was a place we could get rid of it...

Jay: If you don't mind, I'm trying to focus.

Cole then passes by.

Cole: (Pretending to be on the phone.) Hi, Mom and Dad. Of course, I'd love to visit. What kind of son would I be if I didn't want to?

Jay: Heheheheh. I know what you're trying to do! Okay, look, I might have promised to visit my parents, but there's a lot of stuff on my plate.

Nya comes in.

Jay: (Wipes the grease and oil off his face) Hehe. Hi, Nya.

Nya: You gonna visit your parents, today?

Jay: Uh, sure am. Just about to leave.

Nya: Tell them I say hi.

The other ninja look at Jay.

Jay: What? So my plate's not that full.

Jay is now outside getting Wisp, but he won't budge.

Jay: Come on, Wisp! It'll be a quick visit. Just in and out, nothing more.

Wu: Hm, it is as I suspected. The dragons are molting. They're shedding their scales.

Jay: What does that mean?

Wu: Every adolescent dragon goes through a transformation before it becomes an adult. We must allow them to migrate east to the Spirit Coves for their transformation.

Jay: Will we see them again?

Wu: It is hard to say. But we need to allow them to follow their path.

Cole: Rocky's going east? (Pets Rocky) Say it isn't so, Rocky.

(Zane pets Shard.)

Jay walked over to Nya, who was chatting with Kai and Flame. He sighed dramatically, crossing his arms. "Well, I guess I gotta go on this long walk all by myself. Sure would be nice to have some company."

Nya started to nod in agreement, but before she could say anything, Kai grinned. "Of course we'll go, buddy."

Cole stretched, looking more than ready for a change of scenery. "I could use a break."

Zane, ever calm, gave a small smile. "All you had to do was ask."

Jinx, who had been quietly listening, chimed in nonchalantly. "Low-key, I have nothing better to do. Master Wu agreed to teach me Spinjitzu, along with some ninja skills."

Kai's eyebrows shot up. "Really? What did you have to do to make him agree?"

Jinx smirked, leaning back as he reminisced. "Well..."

(Flashback)

Jinx led Master Wu aside while Jay was busy giving his parents a tour. The moment was perfect. He slammed his fist into his palm, grasped it tightly, and gave a small bow.

"Master Wu," Jinx began with a serious tone. "I come to you to become your disciple."

Wu, stroking his beard, regarded Jinx carefully. "May I ask why you wish to become my disciple, young man?"

Jinx bowed his head further, his voice steady and respectful. "Because, even though I have great mastery over my elements, I know there are techniques and skills that I have yet to learn. I hope you will be willing to teach me."

Wu stared at Jinx, his expression unreadable. He placed a hand on Jinx's shoulder and finally spoke, his voice calm yet resolute. "Alright… my new student."

(Flashback ends)

Jinx leaned back with a grin. "And that's how I became the fifth ninja. From what Master Wu has hinted, I'm close to using Spinjitzu."

The others stared at Jinx, especially Nya, who seemed a little hurt. She had no awakened element yet. Jinx knew she would become a ninja in time, but he also understood the value of patience. Time would reveal everything. He couldn't rush it.

Suddenly, Jay stopped in his tracks as they neared the Junkyard. His eyes narrowed.

"What is it?" Nya asked, noticing the shift.

Jay muttered, "It's quiet. My family's never quiet."

Without hesitation, Jay bolted toward the entrance. Nya, Kai, Cole, and Zane followed closely behind. They reached a locked fridge, where Ed and Edna were mumbling helplessly. Jay kicked the door open and quickly rushed to his parents.

"What happened? Who did this?" Jay asked urgently as he ripped the tape off Edna's mouth.

Edna's eyes lit up in relief. "Sweetheart, you came!"

Jay tore the tape off Ed's mouth. "Oh, you gotta get out of here. You shouldn't have come—it's the ssssnakes!"

Wu stepped forward, grimly assessing the situation. "The bite of the Fangpyre. Once they sink their teeth, their venom can turn anything into a serpent. It's only a matter of time before the full transformation is complete."

As if on cue, a Fangpyre hissed menacingly, but before it could strike, Jinx's black lightning crackled through the air, electrocuting the serpent into a pile of ash.

Then, the ground rumbled, and a massive crane, with a wrecking ball shaped like a jack-o'-lantern, loomed overhead.

Cole, uneasy, stared at the eerie sight. "Uh, is that wrecking ball staring at me?"

Jinx, barely containing his grin, replied, "Yes, Cole... yes it is."

Jay acted quickly, shouting, "Duck!"

Without thinking, Jay dove to shield his parents. The other ninja followed suit, narrowly dodging the wrecking ball as it swung ominously. But Jinx stayed calm, his mind racing. He knew what he had to do.

As the wrecking ball swung toward them, Jinx focused on his element—darkness. But this time, something different happened. He combined the usual flow of energy with the cold, detached nature of darkness. A rush of heat surrounded his hand, but when he opened his eyes, he saw dark purple flames dancing across his fingers. A smirk spread across his face.

Just before the wrecking ball could crush him, Jinx propelled himself into the air, igniting his flames and soaring higher. He unsheathed his blade, Silence, and with precision, cut the chain holding the wrecking ball. The massive ball crashed to the ground, sinking deep into the dirt.

The others stared in awe as the situation seemed to calm down—at least for the moment.

Ed groaned from the ground, his voice filled with gratitude. "Thankssss, sssson."

Wu nodded approvingly. "Impressive, Jinx."

Jinx gave a cocky smirk. "Just another day for the fifth ninja."

Suddenly, a voice rang out from behind. "Lloyd!"

Lloyd stepped forward, grinning mischievously. "Hello, uncle. Looks like we're not the only family reunion happening today. Glad you brought the ninja. I could use some help taking out the trash. Muahaha!"

Nya, ever focused on the task at hand, snapped into action. "If we want to turn your parents back, we need the antivenom in the staff!"

The Fangpyres hissed and slithered in from the shadows, their fangs dripping with venom as they advanced toward the ninja.

Kai, gritting his teeth, glanced over at Nya. "Easier said than done, sis. We're a bit outnumbered."

Jay clenched his fists, his voice filled with determination. "Nobody messes with my family. Ninja, go!"

The others followed suit, voices unified. "Ninja, go!" Kai, Cole, and Zane shouted in unison.

The battle began as the Fangpyres lunged, their deadly jaws snapping. Wu, ever composed, took out his flute and began playing a soothing melody that echoed through the chaos. His calm presence cut through the noise like a beacon of focus.

Meanwhile, Nya charged in, using her fists to strike down two Fangpyre soldiers with swift, decisive movements. Her body fluid and precise, she dodged their counterattacks, each blow landing with force.

"I don't know, Sensei," Nya grunted as she took another down, her energy matching Wu's rhythm. "I think we make a pretty good duet."

Wu's eyes twinkled with approval as his music continued to guide the fight.

On the other side, Jinx was surrounded by a dozen Fangpyres. Their hissing laughter echoed as they circled him. Jinx, unbothered, unsheathed Silence and flicked it through the air in quick, calculated motions. His movements were like a dance—graceful, lethal, and always one step ahead.

He took down two Fangpyres with a single, well-timed slash, their bodies crumpling to the ground. Another lunged at him from behind, but Jinx spun, his dark purple flames swirling around him. With every twist of his body, the flames seemed to burn brighter and faster, disorienting his enemies.

The Fangpyres came at him from all angles, but Jinx was relentless. A flick of his wrist here, a strike of his blade there—each movement leaving them stunned or unconscious.

But then, one Fangpyre managed to slip past his guard. It slithered up behind him, its venomous fangs just inches from his neck. Jinx's senses flared at the last moment, and his power surged in response.

Darkness and wind, raw and untamed, rippled through his body. He twisted with the force of the surge, his hand gripping the air as if it could tear through reality itself. The wind howled, merging with his darkness to form a swirling, dark purple tornado around him, the grayish tendrils of cold wind whipping out in every direction.

The Fangpyres shrieked in terror as the vortex picked them off one by one, tossing them like ragdolls. When the storm finally subsided, Jinx stood in the center, breathing heavily but unscathed. His eyes glowed with a dark, satisfied light as the unconscious bodies of the Fangpyres littered the ground.

He smirked to himself, wiping his blade clean. "Guess I just did Spinjitzu," he muttered, a hint of pride in his voice.

The ninja stood, momentarily stunned at the power he had unleashed. Wu nodded, his flute still in hand, a faint smile on his face. "Well done, my new student."

Jinx's smirk deepened. "Yeah... that felt pretty good."

As the chaos in the junkyard raged on, Lloyd couldn't resist the urge to crank up the volume on the boombox, blasting music with reckless abandon. The Fangpyre hisses mixed with the distorted beats, creating an oddly unsettling soundtrack for the battle.

Wu, narrowing his eyes at his young nephew, sighed in exasperation. "Young nephew, must I teach you whose side you should be on?"

Lloyd, grinning mischievously, barely spared him a glance. "Sorry, uncle. Can't hear you!" He cranked the volume even higher.

Just then, Edna, ever resourceful, swung a frying pan with impressive force, knocking out a Fangpyre before it could bite Wu. The old woman barely broke a sweat as the Fangpyre crumpled to the ground.

Ed, visibly impressed, called out, "Yeah, way to go, Edna!"

The ninja, never missing a beat, roared in unison, "Ninja, go!"

As the battle raged on, the Fangpyres started to focus on an unusual target—the Jay statue, which was now being rapidly transformed into a grotesque, twisted creation. Sparks flew, mechanical limbs twisted into place, and before long, the statue had become a massive Fangpyre Robot, its eyes glowing menacingly.

The music abruptly died, the loud thumping replaced by the eerie hiss of the mechanical creature.

Jay's eyes widened in horror as the towering robot loomed before him. "Ah! What is that thing?"

Ed, a proud (if slightly odd) grin on his face, gestured to the monstrosity. "It was supposed to be in your honor, son, but do you like it?"

Jay stared at the robot, unsure if it was meant to be a compliment or an insult. "Thanks, but no thanks," he replied with a grimace.

Without missing a beat, the group turned to flee, trying to escape the new menace closing in on them.

Cole, panting as he ran, shot a look at Jay. "Why'd you have to be born in a junkyard?"

Jay groaned in agreement, "I know. Tell me about it."

But then, a voice broke the tension. "Hey! It's still better than an orphanage," Jinx remarked, eyes still scanning the battlefield with the keen interest of a strategist.

The group fell silent for a brief moment. No one responded aloud, but everyone made a mental note of the comment. It was a stark reminder of Jinx's past—one that would never fully leave him, no matter how much he'd grown.

The chaos continued as a Fangpyre crane with a sentient wrecking ball loomed over the ninja. The wrecking ball swung menacingly, its eyes glowing with a sinister light.

Kai, glancing up in disbelief, called out, "Uh, wasn't there four of us?"

Before anyone could respond, Jay, ever the daredevil, had already leapt onto the wrecking ball, landing with practiced ease. He grinned, pulling himself upright and glancing at the controls. "Let's see if I can work this." He gripped a handle, twisting it with determination.

The wrecking ball lurched, and with a loud mechanical grind, it swung toward the Fangpyre Robot, knocking it back and saving Cole, who was narrowly avoiding the creature's assault.

Cole, still panting from the close call, grinned. "Don't worry, I got it."

Jay, now hovering above him, smirked. "I told you, I had it."

Lloyd, observing the escalating situation, shouted, "Retreat!" He and Fantom quickly climbed aboard the Rattlecopter and took off into the air.

Jinx, looking thoroughly confused, scratched his head. "Didn't I destroy that thing?"

Nya, eyes wide with realization, added urgently, "He's getting away with the staff!"

Jay sighed, his shoulders slumping in frustration. "Right now would be a good time to have those dragons."

Ed, ever the supportive parent, reassured him. "It'ssss okay, sssson."

Wu, remaining calm in the face of danger, looked toward Jay with a knowing gaze. "There is still a way."

Jay shot him a questioning glance. "How?"

Wu stroked his beard thoughtfully, speaking slowly. "Part of reaching your full potential is understanding your weapon's potential. Once it is in tune with a focused heart, its secrets and powers can be unlocked."

Jay's eyes narrowed in frustration. "Oh, this is not the time to be cryptic."

Zane, always the logical one, clarified, "He's saying our weapons are vehicles themselves."

Kai's eyes widened in shock. "Don't tell me I have to ride this thing like a broomstick."

Wu's gaze softened. "Jay, concentrate on unlocking your Golden Weapon. Let your heart guide you. Imagine you're taking flight."

Jay, his determination outweighing his doubt, closed his eyes and focused, imagining the weapon transforming. With a sudden surge of energy, his Nunchucks morphed into the Storm Glider. He opened his eyes, and a grin spread across his face. "Whoa! Haha, did I just do that?"

Kai, Zane, and Cole quickly followed suit. Kai's weapon transformed into the Blade Cycle, Zane's into the Snowmobile, and Cole's into the Tread Assault.

Cole, admiring his new ride, chuckled. "Ha! I hate to hurt Rocky's feelings, but I think he's just been replaced."

The group, now armed with their new vehicles, took off in pursuit of Lloyd, with Jay cheering in excitement. "This is awesome!"

Nya, looking at Wu with a curious expression, asked, "Does your flute turn into anything?"

Wu sighed, glancing down at his flute with a wistful look. "I wish."

Jinx stood in the middle of the chaotic junkyard, his sharp eyes scanning the mess until they locked onto something intriguing—a forgotten snake-themed bike buried beneath scrap metal and rusted parts. His lips curled into a smirk as an idea sparked in his mind.

Looking down at his hand, he watched as dark purple smoke began to seep from his palm, curling and twisting like tendrils of raw power. "Let's see what we can do with you," he muttered, stepping toward the bike with purpose.

He placed his hand on the snake bike, and instantly, the dark purple smoke enveloped the entire vehicle, wrapping it in an eerie, almost alive shroud. The bike trembled and groaned as its size shrank, the parts shifting and reshaping under the influence of Jinx's power.

When the smoke finally cleared, there stood a sleek, black and purple motorcycle, its design both menacing and elegant. The snake motif had become an integral part of the bike—the front half resembling a coiled serpent, with scales etched into the bodywork. The snake's head, now alive, rested at the front, its glowing eyes staring at Jinx with a spark of recognition.

The snake head gave Jinx a slow, deliberate nod, as if acknowledging him as its master. Jinx's smirk widened. "Now this... this is my kind of ride." He swung a leg over the motorcycle, revving it up as a deep, guttural growl echoed from the engine, promising destruction and speed.

"Let's give 'em a chase they won't forget," Jinx said, kicking the bike into motion and tearing off after the others, the serpent's head hissing in anticipation.

Jinx revved his bike, the engine growling like a living beast as he tore through the junkyard, leaving a thick trail of dark purple smoke in his wake. The thrill of the chase sent a rush of excitement through him, but as he spotted the other ninja in the distance, he quickly realized he wouldn't catch up at this pace.

Then, an idea sparked in his mind.

He took a deep breath, focusing on the air around him. He reached deep into his connection with the wind, feeling the currents shifting at his command. A moment later, the bike trembled beneath him—then, without warning, it lifted off the ground.

Jinx grinned as his ride ascended, floating higher and higher until he was about 15 meters in the air. The strangest part? It felt just as smooth as riding on solid ground. The wind bent to his will, carrying him effortlessly through the sky.

"Oh, this is going to be fun," Jinx muttered, his smirk widening as he leaned forward, picking up speed. He was catching up fast.

Meanwhile, Jay shot past Lloyd like a bolt of blue lightning.

Lloyd nearly lost control of the Rattlecopter as he flinched. "Whoa, what the heck was that?" he exclaimed, gripping the rope tighter.

Up ahead, Jay barely heard him over the rush of wind. "Oops, haha. Overshot that a little," he admitted, quickly adjusting course. His grin widened as he glanced at the control panel. "Let's see what this baby can do."

With a flick of his hand, he pressed a glowing button.

Bad idea.

The jet suddenly jerked and sputtered, losing stability. "Whoa!" Jay yelped as the Storm Fighter veered wildly.

Below, the Fangpyre were too busy dodging the chaos to care.

"Duck!" one of them shouted, barely avoiding the flailing ninja.

The Staff of the Fangpyre tumbled from Lloyd's grasp, spinning through the air. Jay's eyes locked onto it. "I got it?!" He reached out, and by some miracle, his fingers closed around the staff. His eyes widened. "I got it!"

For a split second, he felt victorious.

Then his vehicle vanished beneath him.

"Uh-oh," Jay whispered before plummeting through the sky. "AHHHHHH!!!"

Below, the other ninja were already in pursuit.

Kai's eyes darted upward. "Jay, you have to concentrate!"

"I CAN'T!!!!" Jay's screams only grew louder as the ground rushed up to meet him.

Cole gritted his teeth. "I think we're gonna have to catch him."

Kai sped up. "I got him! I got him!"

Cole scowled. "No, I got him!"

Zane remained calm. "He's mine."

But before any of them could make their move, all their vehicles suddenly vanished, sending them tumbling to the ground.

Jay's screaming continued—until a shadow streaked past him.

Jinx.

With perfect timing, Jinx spun his airborne bike around, positioning himself directly under Jay's falling form. The wind obeyed his command, slowing Jay just enough for Jinx to reach out and grab him mid-air.

"Gotcha!" Jinx smirked, swinging Jay up behind him.

Jay, clutching the Fangpyre Staff in one hand, latched onto Jinx for dear life with the other. "Oh man, oh man, oh man," he muttered, holding on tight.

Jinx, still smirking, simply revved the engine. "Try not to scream in my ear, will ya?"

As the two shot through the sky, the other ninja scrambled to their feet, watching in awe.

Kai groaned, brushing himself off. "Alright. That was cool."

Fangtom #2: Everyone!

Fangtom #1: Attack!

Kai: Huh? Why isn't this thing working?

Wu: Your weapon is merely an extension of your mind. If your mind is immobile, so is your weapon.

Ed: Oh, boy. Oh, gosh. Oh, golly, oh, duh. Get in, boys!

Jay: We have to get back to headquarters!

Jinx:yea i got it.

Jinx revs his bike more gaining more speed while using the wind to give him a boost.

Lloyd: Go! They're getting away!

Jinx and Jay soared through the sky, the wind rushing past them as they neared the Destiny's Bounty. Jinx gradually slowed his descent, concentrating on the air around him as the bike gently lowered toward the ground. With perfect precision, he touched down just in front of the ship.

Then, with a smirk, he leaned into the maneuver, twisting the handlebars and executing a flawless Akira slide, kicking up dust as the bike screeched to a stop.

Jay hopped off, slightly dizzy but impressed. "Nice driving."

Jinx smirked and shrugged. "Thanks."

The two fist-bumped just as the distant rumbling of an old, clunky engine reached their ears. Turning around, they spotted Jalopy, the rickety old car carrying the rest of the ninja—and Jay's parents—bouncing down the uneven terrain.

They were moving too slow.

Jinx stretched out a hand, his fingers curling as a gust of wind wrapped around the car, lifting it just slightly off the ground. With a sharp tug, the vehicle was pulled toward them at an accelerated speed before Jinx gently set it down, allowing them to roll safely to a stop.

Kai leaned out of the car, eyes wide. "Okay. That was kinda awesome."

Jinx smirked but said nothing as Nya jumped out and rushed toward Ed and Edna.

"Come with me," she urged, grabbing their hands. "Once we reverse the venom, we can fix you."

Jay, wasting no time, ran toward the Bounty. "Man the stations, everyone!"

Kai sprinted after him. "Jay, we better hurry!"

Jay skidded to a stop at the control panel, grinning with excitement. "I've been waiting for this moment!" He slammed a button with confidence—

Nothing happened.

His smile faltered. "Uh... huh?"

Kai glanced back as the Fangpyre rapidly closed in. "Jay! They're gaining on us!"

Ed, still half-serpent, chuckled. "Bottoms up!"

As Ed and Edna quickly downed the antivenom, Jinx lifted his hands once more. A powerful gust of wind kicked up a swirling sandstorm, blinding the advancing Fangpyre and slowing them down just long enough for the transformation to take effect.

With a laugh of relief, Ed and Edna turned back into humans.

Ed grinned. "Oh, that's good."

Jay, however, was still frantically pressing the button. "Ugh! I don't get what's wrong! I spent forever on this! It's supposed to work!"

Ed walked up beside him and patted his shoulder. "Uh, son? Maybe I can help?"

Jay spun around, gasping. "Dad! You're okay!"

Ed chuckled. "You're darn tootin'! Now, let's have a look." He knelt down and fiddled with the wiring. "Ahh, see here? This should be—uh-huh—ah, there we go. Now try it."

Jay hesitated, then pressed the button again.

FWOOOSH!

The Destiny's Bounty roared to life. Wings unfolded, rocket boosters blazed, and the ship lifted into the air just as the Fangpyre recovered from the sandstorm.

Lloyd, watching from below, clenched his fists. "No, no, no, no!" he shouted in frustration before coughing as dust filled his lungs.

Jay whooped in victory. "Haha! Now that's more like it!"

Jinx simply smirked, watching from the side as they soared into the sky, leaving their enemies in the dust.

Nya gasps as the staff slips from her fingers, tumbling end over end through the air before landing right at Fangtom's feet. The snake general's twin heads grinned in unison as his second-in-command slithered forward.

"These ninja..." one head hissed.

"...they must be stopped," the other finished, eyes gleaming with malice.

Lloyd, standing beside them, crossed his arms with a smirk. "Oh, tell me about it."

(Back at the Destiny's Bounty...)

Jay exhaled, still feeling the rush of adrenaline from the battle. He turned to his parents with a smile, leaning against the ship's railing. "We'll get you back to the Junkyard as soon as the coast is clear. But stay as long as you'd like. It's... nice having you here."

Ed beamed, wrapping an arm around Edna. "Oh, take a note, Edna: of all our inventions, this one is our greatest."

Edna chuckled, holding up a notepad for a split second before tossing it over her shoulder. "I already know, dear."

The family pulled each other into a warm embrace, their laughter filling the air.

From a distance, Wu stood watching—his expression unreadable. His gaze lingered, not on the happy reunion, but on someone else.

No one noticed.
