Chapter 1 - THE CALLING

Chapter 1 - The Calling

In the mortal realm, a young man named Eryndor Thorne lived a simple life in the small village of Brindlemark. He was a skilled hunter and warrior, and his bravery was renowned throughout the land.

But Eryndor felt a growing sense of restlessness, as if he was being called to something greater. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to life than the mundane routines of his village.

One fateful night, as the moon hung low in the sky, Eryndor was awoken by a strange, piercing sensation in his mind. It was as if someone, or something, was calling to him.

"Who are you?" Eryndor demanded, his voice shaking with a mix of fear and curiosity.

There was no response, but the sensation grew stronger, until Eryndor felt his very soul being pulled towards the unknown.

Without knowing why, Eryndor felt an overwhelming urge to leave his village and embark on a perilous journey. He packed his gear, said goodbye to his loved ones, and set off into the unknown.

As he traveled, Eryndor encountered strange and wondrous creatures, some of whom seemed to be watching him with an unnerving intensity. He began to suspect that he was being drawn into a world beyond his own, a world of magic and monsters.

The calling in his mind grew stronger with each passing day, until Eryndor could feel the presence of the one who was summoning him. It was a dark, malevolent force, one that seemed to delight in his fear and uncertaint

Eryndor's journey eventually took him to the foreboding castle of Xorax, the demon lord. The castle was a twisted, nightmarish structure, its walls seeming to shift and writhe like living things.

As Eryndor approached the castle gates, he was met by a horde of demonic minions, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy. The minions parted to reveal Xorax himself, his eyes blazing with an inner fire.

"Welcome, Eryndor Thorne," Xorax said, his voice like thunder. "I have been waiting for you. You have been chosen to fulfill an important task, one that will require all your strength and courage."

Eryndor steeled himself, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. But as he looked into Xorax's eyes, he felt a shiver run down his spine. For in those eyes, he saw a depth of malevolence that made his blood run cold.
