Chapter 1 - The Family That Ruled Everything

The sun was setting over a tranquil valley, casting a warm orange glow over the green fields, dotted with blooming flowers. Birds chirped happily in the distance, and a gentle breeze rustled through the leaves of the towering trees. On the surface, it looked like a picture-perfect evening—a normal evening, like any other.

And yet, in a hidden corner of the world, within the heart of the Himalayas, there was a family sitting at a modest wooden table, eating dinner. To any passerby, they would have appeared to be a completely ordinary family, enjoying a quiet meal. But beneath the surface, there was nothing ordinary about them.

"Pass the rice, dear," Son-Wu San said, his voice calm and collected as he reached for his glass of water.

Li-Yan Mei, his wife, smiled warmly and slid the bowl of rice closer to him. "Here you go, love."

Their children, Xian Xue and Xian Long, were busily bickering over who would get the last piece of chicken.

"Daddy said I could have it!" Xian Xue pouted, her tiny hands on her hips, looking more like a little princess than a seven-year-old.

"No, you didn't!" Xian Long protested, his five-year-old face scrunched in irritation. "You said I could have the last one yesterday!"

Son-Wu San watched the squabble, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "Alright, alright, both of you can have it, but only if you promise to share."

Both children immediately agreed, and with a victorious cheer, Xian Xue grabbed the chicken. Son-Wu San shook his head, chuckling.

The family, despite being able to control all of existence, from time and space to life and death, was—at least in their minds—simply a family living on Earth. They wanted nothing more than a peaceful, normal life. No cosmic battles, no ancient enemies, no destructive powers. Just rice, chicken, and a warm family dinner.

But as usual, the universe had other plans.

From the moment they had decided to settle on Earth, Son-Wu San had warned the family: "We need to lay low. No more destroying universes over spilled milk. We have to live like normal people."

Li-Yan Mei nodded with a slight grin. She always found it amusing when her husband, the ruler of all realms, tried to act like an average person.

"Agreed," she said, gently wiping her daughter's face with a napkin. "We'll keep a low profile. Earth is full of interesting things. Let's focus on those, okay?"

Xian Xue, being the ever-curious little girl she was, looked around eagerly. "Mom, do you think we can go to a festival this weekend? I want to see fireworks! Maybe a parade too!"

Xian Long, ever the mischievous one, added, "And I want to eat a mountain of candy! No one can stop me!"

Son-Wu San looked at his two children with a mixture of pride and mild concern. "Fine, we'll go to a festival. But remember, no causing chaos. Earth has rules, and we should respect them."

"Rules? What rules?" Xian Long asked innocently, clearly not caring for any "rules" that could limit his candy consumption.

"You'll learn soon enough," Son-Wu San muttered, half to himself. "Everyone on Earth follows rules... well, most people do."

At that moment, a sudden burst of energy crackled through the air. It was subtle, almost imperceptible to anyone not attuned to the cosmos. But Son-Wu San noticed it immediately. His eyes narrowed as a familiar voice echoed in his mind.

"Lord Son-Wu San, I must remind you. The rule stands: no disturbances in the universal balance. You are not to interfere with the natural order."

It was the assistant—the ever-dutiful, ever-annoying cosmic overseer assigned to ensure the family's compliance with universal regulations.

Son-Wu San sighed, rolling his eyes. "I get it, I get it. No destroying anything, no causing cosmic destruction. But can we just have a normal evening?"

The assistant's voice didn't waver. "Remember, even the smallest action can ripple across universes. Be cautious."

Li-Yan Mei gave her husband an understanding glance. "It's alright, dear. We just want peace. No more world-shaking tantrums, okay?"

Son-Wu San nodded, but his eyes twinkled mischievously. "No promises. If someone makes my favorite soup wrong, they might accidentally cause an earthquake."

Xian Xue and Xian Long both looked up at their father, wide-eyed and hopeful. "Daddy, can we accidentally cause an earthquake if we want a bigger playground?" Xian Long asked.

"No," Son-Wu San said firmly, though there was an unmistakable twinkle of amusement in his voice. "No earthquakes. No explosions. Nothing."

The family settled back into their dinner, the peaceful ambiance of the evening returning. But the cosmos was far from peaceful.

As they continued eating, unaware of the commotion brewing just beyond their peaceful existence, across the multiverse, higher-dimensional beings were already watching. The news had spread: The family of Son-Wu San, rulers of everything, had chosen to live on Earth.

It was only a matter of time before the universe's various powers would realize that living on Earth was far from ordinary. And as for Son-Wu San and his family? They were about to discover that being too powerful for your own good might just be the hardest thing to hide.
