Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 [I did it,Mom]

His trembling hands betrayed his nerves. As he loosen his grip around Toa's neck. He stared at his still trembling hands, and let out a shaky breath

"I'm… I'm sorry" he whispered, his voice barely above a murmur, "I didn't mean to —"

He apologized again before taking Chariya's coffee. The mere sight of them made him fume with rage. In one swift motion he splashed it on Sam's face, it's dripped down on his perfectly styled hair and soaked into his chest.

"Sam, right" he questioned furiously

"What the fuck, who are you"

He yanked his shirt, pulling him closer. Without a word, his hand cracked across his face, the sting echoing in the room like a final warning

Sam snapped, "How dare you?" The anger in his voice was raw.

"You threw away three beautiful years for an ugly man—no, a woman!" His voice dripped with sarcasm. He could see the expression on Sam's face when he heard about Aey.

"l Had no idea your standards were this low, and you have such a bad taste in women" he mocked. He walk to the scheming woman's side and mocked "so you are the child making machine"

In fear she hid behind Sam. He couldn't contain his emotions and shouted "l never liked him in the first place to begin with"

Although Sam wore a guilty expression on his face he was secretly annoyed by him

"And yet you live with him for three years"This outburst caused a stir among the crowd, murmurs ripped through the room. Satisfied he walked toward Toa's table

Still wiping coffee from his shirt. Toa was livid. Tum apologized and awkwardly toke money out of his pocket and extends his hand toward Toa. He had no idea Mr. Toa was worth millions and mistook him for just another poor man like himself

"What's is this for?" Toa's voice was sharp

"Your coffee obviously"

He smeared. "Okay What about my shirt"

He dropped the money on his table "If you need money that badly, why don't you get a job? I have already apologized" Toa was furious as he watched Tum stormed off

It's was pouring rain. The once bustling streets which was once parked and crowded now empty and silent. He walked slowly down the alley, his mind tangled with what had just happened

He finally made his way home, he punched in the passcode. The door clicked open, and for a moment, it felt like a brief escape from the chaos still swirling in his mind.

He pushed the door open, only to find his brother lounging in his chair, a smug grin on his face. "Took you long enough" he sneered, clearly having made himself at home

"This isn't your room to invade. How did you get in—"

"Your mom's birthday"

"What do you want" His voice was tight with anger as he stepped in the room

"Straight to the point. Don't you miss me. Come on Brother don't give me that look"

"It's been almost four years and your first words are, it took you long enough, do you even know what today is"

Your birthday, l don't know and I don't care"

His fists clenching at his sides. "What the hell are you doing in here?" he snapped.

"Calm down, little boy," he taunted, his voice dripping with sarcasm "I know you are having money troubles, and I'm willing to give you thirty thousand dollars for free—on one condition."

"I don't need your money, get out!"

He smirked, completely unfazed "My client is willing to pay a huge amount for that handsome face. All you need to do is bend over and take it" He took a slow sip. His eyes never leaving Tum's. "Calm down, you're not scaring anyone."

Tum's face twisted with rage. "Today is my mom… no, our mom's ninth Remembrance Day, and—"

Before he could finish, his brother shouted, cutting him off, "She is not my mother! She was never my mother and won't and can't ever be my mother!"The words came out sharp. The tension in the air was thick.

"How dare you! She's not your birth mother, but she took care of you like her own. She protected you, provided for you, and supported you!"

Tim let out a laugh. "Hahahaha," he mocked, "Your so-called mother never did any of that. She stole my father from me and deprived me of fatherly love!"

"You ungrateful motherfucker" his voice laced with frustration. "After everything she did for you" His anger practically radiating off him. His face is red, his jaw clenched tight.

He shouted back "No Your mom is ungrateful for taking my dad away from me and making my childhood memories a mess. I'm happy she died, the world would be better without her"

Gripping his collar he slapped Tim across his face. Which echoed across the room. "You are not just ungrateful but also crazy" his voice laced with disdain. "Didn't you meet your dad? Was he happy to see you?"

A moment of silence ensued, as Tim's expression shifted from distain to simmering anger. "If your mom didn't corrupted him he wouldn't refused to see me." The confrontation was escalating, the atmosphere charged with unresolved past grievances.

"Because you are not worthy of being seen."

"Don't ever talk back. You are a fucken mistress's son. You are a mistake to begin with. Your mom and my mom were best friends. Your mom was jealous of my mother.

I overheard my mom begging your mom to abort you, and she will compensate her but she greedily disagreed. Wanting to separate a happy home and cause my mom to commit suicide.

And she made a move at my dad's weakest point and he gave in. And within a few years she passed away due to cancer no karma and you expect me to care. Fuck no!"

His face turn ugly "That's not the truth"

"We both know the truth"

"You're a liar just like your mom" Tum screamed

"How dare you. Do you want a death wish"

"Get out of my house this instant and never show your face again, or you will never like this half-brother of yours!"

Tim sneered. "You're going to regret it," before grabbing his jacket and storming out, he slammed the door shut.

He stood in the living room. Furniture overturned, broken glass and scattered, personal items thrown across the floor like they meant nothing. Tum was furious "How dare he? His brother had crossed a line."

Outside of Tum's apartment Tim stood by his luxurious car. "This is just the beginning of a beautiful tragedy, Im going to take revenge" sat in his car and drove off.

Tum crawled over to his mom's picture, and pressed his forehead against it. Tears spilled down his face. It felt like loneliness crushed him.

Just then, his phone rang. He glanced at the screen. His heart skipped as he saw the name. He stood up, wiping away his tears, a surge of joy rushing through him as he answered the call.

The words hit him like a wave. "You're hired." His heart raced, the exhaustion of the past moments replaced by a rush of adrenaline and disbelief. He laughed, a breathless sound, barely able to grasp the reality of it

After he hung up, he stared at his mother's picture. "I did it, Mom. We finally did it." He paused, a tear slipping down his cheek, but this time, it felt different—like a weight had been lifted. "I hope you're proud."

The night passed rapidly. The next day arrived with the first light of dawn. Today felt different—like a new chapter had begun.

He stretched to loosen tension, and swing his legs out of bed. He heard toward the kitchen to brew coffee, prepare, and head out the door. As he walked out

A couple walked past, their eyes briefly landing on the open flyer. The man shot a curious glance, his brow furrowing. a silent judgment passing between them.

As he walked down the street, he spotted a car reflecting his face. He paused, stepping closer to the window, and quickly fixed his hair, adjusting his clothes. straightening his collar, and flicking an imaginary speck of dust off his sleeve.

He stared at his reflection, making funny faces at his own image, sticking out his tongue, crossing his eyes, and raising a eyebrow. He laughed quietly to himself, lost in the absurdity of the moment.

Oblivious to notice the figure, watching him with cold and calculating eyes.

As he waits at the bus stop to get a bus to work he couldn't help but fix his hair and adjust his clothes again. He looked at his watch, he sighed in frustration, a mother, standing nearby with her young daughter, noticing something wrong quickly covered the girl's eyes.

Getting a few stares from onlookers. He blamed it on his good looks.

Tum walked in the luxurious company. The facade of the building is imposing, tall with wide fenestra. The interior design looked exquisite.

Luxury marble countertops modern marble floor, decorated in warm natural colors with exquisite Interior Design. It was captivate. Looking at the beautiful scenery.

Toa absorbed in his phone, scrolling through something on the screen. He didn't noticed Tum as he pass by him

He remains absorbed in his phone, and he continue forward, Tum in his own thoughts, As you walk by him making his way to the elevator

There are more than two elevators but crowded on the other sides of the elevators. He decided to use the less crowded elevator

He pressed the button to open the elevator door, but as it starts to slide open, he heard a sharp shout echoed from behind "Don't get in, this elevator is reserved only for the boss" He pulled his hand back

"Tum right" Mhok asked "Yes" a bit nervous but excited. Mhok glanced at him, a smile escape his lips. He leaned forward and whispered in a low tone "Pay attention to your appearance"

He pointed at his opened flyer. With a trembling hand he zipped it up. He was instantly taken aback to the stared and the mother and daughter.

"Please follow me" they got into the elevator with other co workers. "This new inter is goofy" Mhok thought as Mhok lead him to the manager office
