Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 Bloody Halloween VII

Aiden's right arm coiled like a spring as he moved and with devastating force his fist slammed into the first monster. The impact was instant bone crunched flesh collapsed inwards.

A second strike never came, the force had already been spent shattering through the wall but it didn't matter its face was obliterated caved in from the right, leaving nothing but a ruined mass where its features once were.

All attention was now Aiden both Kai's and the monsters, immediately the monsters changed target both of them ran towards Aiden.

He coiled his right hand backwards, muscles tensed ready to snap and with a powerful thrust of his arm he sent his fist flying forward.

His knuckles collided with the creature's face shattering bone on impact his hands sank deep into the monster's skull its flesh wrapping around his fist, in a split second the braces on his arm jolted into motion with a metallic clang the device slammed together triggering a second impact far worse than the first.

Instantaneously his knuckles tore straight through the monsters face.

Flesh and shards of bone erupted outward, mingled with dark ichor that splattered across the air. There was no head left just a jaggered stump where its neck ended the body still standing for a fleeting moment before crumpling lifeless.

His focus shifted to the other monster a cold, unreadable expression on his face, before the monster could move a muscle.

Aiden thrust his right leg into the monster's gut pinning it firmly against the wall. The braces on his leg activated amplifying the force behind the strike and with a thunderous second impact his leg drove deeper through its flesh, its body went limp, dead in an instant.

A wave of relief washed over Kai as his mind snapped back to the present, the adrenaline fading. In that instant, his legs gave out beneath him.

Before he could collapse, Aiden stomped forward, closing the distance in a blink. His hand shot out, steadying Kai before he could hit the ground.

Aiden's eyes scanned the entire hallway seeing about four dead monsters apart from the ones he killed his gaze went back to Kai a sense of pity washed over him.

"Did you do all this ?" Aiden asked.

"Yeah, I was also about to take care of those three though but you showed up, just like the other night" Kai said his voice strained breathless and broken by strained gasps each word forced out through clenched teeth.

Aiden slowly sat Kai down on the floor, his back leaning against the wall

"How did you know I was here ?" Kai asked.

"Your girlfriend told me, I saw her, she ran heavily like something was chasing her when I asked she told me everything that happened and how you risked your life to save her" Aiden said his voice calm and soft.

"Do you mean Lena ? No, no, no, She's not my girlfriend" Kai said his breath strained.

A slight chuckle burst out from Aiden's lips "She sure did seem to think so."

"There you are I've been looking for you all over the place" Seraphina's voice echoed softly down the hallway.

Aiden's jaw tightened, a furrow formed between his brows his eyes sharp and unyielding held a quiet intensity– controlled but mistakably edged with anger.

Her elegant figure strode down the hallway heels clicking with each step her outfit tattered and her hair opposite of lustrous evidence of the initial fight between her and Aiden. A seductive smile played on her lips her gaze holding a quiet allure.

Kai immediately charmed, yet confused "Who's that ?" He asked his gaze fixed on Seraphina.

"I'm gonna need you to stand up and run, I wish I could've helped you but, there's something I have to deal with first."

His voice was calm, leaving no room for argument. He didn't even look at Kai as he spoke his gaze already fixed elsewhere.

In that fleeting moment silence swallowed the entire hallway only Seraphina and Aiden's locked stare spoke.

Kai felt invisible, insignificant. No one acknowledged him not even himself as he watched their eyes locked in silent intensity, he was like an ant in their midst too small to be noticed.

Then, in a split second, Aiden was gone. The spot where he had crouched beside Kai was empty and a sudden rush of wind brushed against Kai's face.

Kai had no time to process what had just happened. In an instant, Aiden was in front of Seraphina, both of them coiled like springs, ready to strike.

Outside the hotel, in the city of Ashford.

A monster running with intense speed it's clawed hands scratching the floor as it moved its ominous red eyes fixed on two people, crouched against a building in fear as they saw the monster head straight for them.

It leaped into the air ready to descend on them. Immediately two straight line of blazing inferno shot towards the monsters blasting it away mid air.

"Get out of there!" Ryder yelled his breath heavy and uneven.

The upper half of his shirt was drenched in sweat while sweat rolled down his face "Shit they're too many of them, and my temperature's rising fast. I'm overheating " He used his left fist to bang his head.

"No, I can't be tired now I bet Aiden is still fighting so why on Earth should I be tired" A heinous smile crept up his face, adrenaline began kicking in. He held his arms at his back firmly his palms shone a bright orange color, immediately a burst of flames emerged sending him flying high into the air.

He used flames on his legs to steer his movements he unleashed blazing torrents from both arms scorching the monsters below.

But his body had already reached its limits only adrenaline kept him moving and it wouldn't last much longer.

Damien moved at hyper speed leaving a trail of frost behind him, using his momentum he leaped high into the air stretching both arms outward multiple ice spikes exploded from his palm all heading straight towards the monsters, piercing through their bodies and killing them in an instant.

He lost his balance on landing falling on one knee, his skin pale, his white hair shimmered catching the light and glowing softly breaths came in shaky, visible puffs his body trembled slightly, fingers numb and stiff, as a biting chill clung onto him.

"Shit, I'm freezing, very soon I won't be able to move, I wonder how Ryder's holding up" A smile slowly crept onto his face.

"I bet he's still going."

Of all the members of the Alpha Squad Ryder and Damien had the hardest time fighting, they were long ranged fighters but they had to change their styles due to the large number of people around making the

m burn more energy than in a normal fight.
