"We shouldn't be walking outside this late" Kai complained, (A young teenage boy with messy blue hair and dull blue eyes to fit he wore a black hoodie)"Oh quit your wyning dude we're almost there" Caden said (About the same age with Kai he was taller and had a more masculine figure than Kai he had red hair and a thick black pair of eyes).
"What? Don't tell me you're scared of the dark" Caden taunted while laughing hysterically, "Am just being careful that's all I've heard about numerous murder cases these past months and it's way past curfew, oh man my Mom's gonna kill me if only I" "Shhh" Caden interrupts "Did you see that", "Come on man now you're the one who's being a total jackass", "Am serious it looked like two red eyes from the shadow it was like something was looking at us from the shadow", Kai began to seriously panic sweat rolled down his face the air becoming thicker with each breath he took.
Caden immediately drags his arm and crouches behind a car their breath shallow and hearts pounding they both slowly stand up and look through the rear window and the wind shield, the dark street made it hard to see anything but from it they heard a low growl, deep and guttural, rumble from the shadows, sending chills racing down their spines.
From the blackness emerged an immense 10 feet creature on four legs, it had an incredibly wide mouth where the face is supposed to be, it had the anatomy of a grasshopper but it was nothing alike in terms of physique.
They immediately crouched back, their movements were so serene they did their best not to make a single noise, Kai placed his palm on his mouth to prevent his loud breathing from being heard but his chest moved up and down, both of them were scared out of their mind.
"We're gonna die, we're gonna die, we're gonna die, we're gonna die" Kai whispered again and again, "Snap out of it man, we have to look for a way to survive we can't die like this"Caden whispered, "Are you crazy didn't you see that thing huh, we just had an encounter with the Devil and you're talking about surviving", "We are not gonna die" Caden said as he pulled out an iron rod at least as long as his arm from beneath the car.
"What, what are you doing ?", "I'll distract you run as far away from here as possible" "No no you can't do that", "Listen to me either we both die or one of us dies okay, there's no scenario where we both make it out of this alive, you wanna be the bait" Caden stretched the rod to Axel.
Axel was completely silent his heart still pounding terribly, his silence gave Caden an answer. "I thought so" Caden came out from their hiding spot and looked the creature straight in the eye "Hey come get me" The creature ran towards Caden on all fours it's tail wiggling in the wind, "KAI WHEN THE CREATURE RUNS PAST YOU TURN AROUND AND EXIT TOWARDS THE DIRECTION IT CAME FROM". Caden yelled at the top of his voice as his adrenaline began getting to him. The whole thing happened so fast Kai had a hard time keeping up.
Caden immediately sprinted off, running with every ounce of energy in his body, his leg followed the other in seamless blur his heart pounding non stop through the entire run.

"Caden no" Axel whispered to himself as he saw the creature chase him into the blackness, "No I can't leave him I have to help in any way I can" in an instant Kai's fear turned into anger, he replaced the scared look on his face to a more serious one, and he took off towards the direction where both the creature and Caden ran into.

"Shit I can't out run it that's for sure did I really go forward with this plan knowing fully well I'll die, at least Kai's safe" Caden could no longer hear the loud thudding of the creature as it ran so he stopped and looked back, shit where did it go immediately it landed in his front sending Caden to the floor "Shit" Caden said as he retreated backwards, for some reason couldn't take his eyes of its ugly face as it did so.
"CADEN!" Kai yelled from behind him, "What are you doing here man?You were supposed to run "I came to help, you have no right to sacrifice your life just to save mine" All the confidence in Kai's face disappears as he looks up and sees the face of the creature up close causing an uneasy feeling in his stomach, his legs glued to the ground he practically forgot how to move them.
For some reason the creature seemed to lose interest in Caden and ran straight for Kai, the brute force of his legs shattered the ground beneath it as it ran forward.
"Come on move, why won't you move, this is how I am gonna die huh" Kai kept on talking to himself inwardly all the memories from past years flashed before his eyes it was like he wasn't in their world again until suddenly he felt a push on his shoulder, he then realized the danger he was in.
Caden was smart enough to figure out the creature's move so he started running to Kai before the creature could and reaching there right on time to push him out of the way, it was only possible because he jumped and before he could land the creature grabbed him from his sides with its teeth.
"CADEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!" Kai yelled as he saw his best friend being devoured by a creature he knew nothing about or where it even came from tears flowed seamlessly down his eyes as there was nothing he could do.
Caden grunted in pain as the teeth had stabbed right through his left side, the creature used its teeth to fling Caden upwards and at the same time it opened its mouth so wide a car could fit into it, a lifeless Caden fell through the air with no struggle his body obeying the laws of gravity to the latter as he had no energy to
even struggle.
