Chapter 1 - 001 - Mauve Roux High Queen

"Let's break up, Rahiya." he declared, his gaze was cold as they locked with hers.

Rahiya was stunned, her breath caught in her throat. The sound of her water bottle hitting the ground was the only noise breaking the silence, and the students gossiping around them began to murmur like a distant storm.

"Y-You…are j-joking, right?" she stuttered, her hand reaching out instinctively to grab his arm, but he jerked back as if her touch would burn him. His expression was a mix of irritation and indifference.

"What? Of course, I'm not." His words were sharp, and his gaze flickered away from her, clearly annoyed by the growing crowd. "I'm done with you, Rahiya. I can't take it anymore."

"B-But why?" she asked, desperation creeping into her voice. "We were fine yesterday! What's going on?" Her heart pounded as her mind raced—this couldn't be happening. Not again.

"You know why," he replied with a sigh of frustration. "You're too controlling. It's like I'm your slave, not your boyfriend." He shook his head, visibly repulsed by the situation. "I hope you won't annoy me again." His words were laced with finality, and with one last cold glance, he turned and walked away, leaving her standing there.

Rahiya's hands clenched into fists, nails digging into her palms as her entire body trembled with a mix of anger and humiliation. She secretly glared at him, her eyes burning with rage as he disappeared into the crowd.

"How dare he…" Rahiya whispered. She shivered from the overwhelming swirl of emotions threatening to consume her—hurt, betrayal, and anger all at once. It wasn't the first time she had been left alone like this, but this time felt different. It felt like everything had shattered beyond repair.

Rahiya couldn't just let this go. No. She couldn't accept being treated like this, not in front of every student on the campus. Not after everything she had invested. She had to do something. She had to make him pay for this. He thought he could walk away without consequences, but he was wrong.

Her eyes narrowed as a plan began to form in her mind. She would make that brunette regret this.

The school bell rang, indicating that the classes are over.

"Are you okay?" a ginger-haired guy asked her, him and Rahiya are sitting outside the café. His tone was gentle, but his brows furrowed in concern. "We just heard you and Andrei broke up. Is it true?"

Rahiya's glare was sharp enough to cut glass. "Fucking shut up, Wyndel." Her voice dripped with venom, and the poor guy winced, retreating slightly. "The bastard will pay for it, I swear." Her hand clenched into a fist, making the black-haired guy beside her glance up from his book.

"And how exactly are you going to do that?" he asked calmly, his voice steady as his raven eyes met hers.

"None of your business, Zandro," Rahiya shot back, throwing him a deadly glare. "Besides, I know you'd do something to stop me."

"You're right. I would," he said, closing his book with a soft thud. "Don't do anything stupid, again."

"Hey! You can't just stop Rahiya from getting her revenge!" Wyndel cut in, his voice rising in defense. "That guy is a jerk anyway! Don't worry, Rahiya. I'll make sure Zandro doesn't mess up your plan."

"Both of you are idiots," Zandro muttered under his breath, running a hand down his face. He couldn't believe these two were his childhood friends.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Wyndel dismissed him with a wave before turning back to Rahiya. "So, what's the plan, Queen?" he asked cheekily, emphasizing the nickname he always used for her.

A grin spread across Rahiya's face, her green eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, many things," she said. "But first, we're going to use his weakness."

"His weakness?" Wyndel leaned closer, intrigued.

"His eyes," she explained, her grin growing wider. "He has heterochromia—one eye lavender, the other purple."

Wyndel squinted, his brows furrowed in confusion. "Wait…lavender and purple? Aren't they the same?"

"Idiot," Zandro muttered, shaking his head.

"Shut the fuck up, Zandro!" Wyndel snapped, throwing him an annoyed look.

Zandro sighed heavily, already regretting his decision to stay with these two troublemakers.

"At first, you wouldn't notice it," Rahiya began, her voice calm yet cold. "But on our first date, I noticed something and asked him about it. That's when he told me—one of his eyes is blind. The right one, the lavender colored one." She paused, a wicked smirk curling on her lips. "So, how about we destroy the other one too?"

Wyndel's jaw dropped, and Zandro froze, stunned by what he just heard. He knew Rahiya could be intense, but this was far beyond anything he expected.

"Are you serious?! You could ruin his life by doing that!" Zandro snapped, his voice rising in disbelief. "Not just his—yours too! What if he presses charges? What if you end up in jail? What are you thinking!?"

"I honestly don't care," Rahiya replied flatly, her eyes glinting with a dangerous calm. "The point of revenge is to ruin his life, so this is the best way. Right, Wyndel?" She turned to him, her tone casual as if she hadn't just suggested something horrifying.

Wyndel blinked, still processing her words, but before he could think it through, his head bobbed in an unconscious nod. Rahiya's face lit up with a pleased smile, and she grabbed his hands tightly.

"Will you do it for me?" she asked, her voice soft but laced with an unsettling undertone.

Zandro's eyes widened in shock. "Are you fucking crazy, Rahiya?!" He stood up and slammed his hands on the table, causing heads to turn their way. "Do you even hear yourself right now? This is childish! You're going to ruin someone's life because he got tired of your bullshit? Honestly, I think Andrei made the right decision leaving you, because you–are–insane!"

Rahiya's eyes widened in disbelief. The sting of Zandro's words hit harder than she expected. Publicly calling her out was one thing, but taking Andrei's side over hers? That was too much. Her shock quickly morphed into fury, her chest rising and falling with anger as she prepared to retaliate.

Before she could respond, Wyndel stood abruptly and, without hesitation, punched Zandro square in the face. Rahiya gasped, covering her mouth in shock. Wyndel had never lashed out like this before—and to see him hit Zandro, their friend, left her stunned.

"Don't you dare shout at her, you jerk!" Wyndel snarled, his voice shaking with rage. He raised his fist to strike again, but Zandro recovered quickly and drove a punch into Wyndel's stomach, making him stumble.

"This is exactly why she's such an entitled brat!" Zandro growled, grabbing Wyndel by the shirt and throwing another punch at his face. "You're always taking her side—always tolerating this nonsense! You know she doesn't even like you, right? She's using you—"

Before Zandro could finish, the world seemed to shift. A chilling, guttural growl cut through the air. The argument stopped as the three of them turned toward the source of the sound. A monstrous figure emerged from the shadows—a towering ghoul with three grotesque heads.

One head grinned maniacally, its smile stretched unnaturally wide. Another head bore a sorrowful expression, tears dripping down its cracked face. The middle head radiated pure rage.

Screams erupted from the people around them as the creature's twisted gaze fixated on Rahiya, Zandro, and Wyndel. The atmosphere grew heavy, suffocating them in a mix of fear and tension.

For a moment, all three of them froze, their petty fight forgotten. Whatever anger they had felt moments ago paled in comparison to the sheer terror before them.
