Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

As the elder brother, Zi Aiming was convinced that Mo Yuchen had been the one to seduce and lure his precious little sister, Zi Aixia, into this marriage. There was no way his sister would have willingly thrown herself at someone solely based on their looks. His protective instincts flared up, and he felt a strong need to shield his sister from any potential harm or manipulation.

Of course, Zi Aiming wouldn't blame his dear little sister, Zi Aixia, no matter what she did. If she hypothetically murdered someone, he'd just shrug it off and say that the person died of their own accord in her presence. In his eyes, she could do no wrong.

Since Zi Aixia woke up from the coma, Zi Aiming spoils her rotten, buying her anything and everything she asks for. In his eyes, she can do no wrong and deserves everything he can provide for her. He loves her deeply and would do anything to see a smile on her face.

Zi Aiming appreciated the cheerful and more open version of his sister, Zi Aixia. She was no longer isolating herself in her room, avoiding everyone. But a part of him felt conflicted, afraid that if she regained her memories, she would revert to her old introverted self. He knew it was selfish, but a small part of him dreaded the thought of her disappearing again into her shell.

Despite the fact that Zi Aixia and Mo Yuchen married abruptly, Zi Aiming couldn't help but feel glad seeing how well Mo Yuchen was treating his sister. He could see the care and affection in Mo Yuchen's actions towards Zi Aixia, and it reassured him that she was in good hands.

The weight of the past heavily burdened Zi Aiming, and he found it difficult to move on from what had happened. His younger brothers and even his parents were still haunted by the memories. They were still searching for "that" person, and he felt the guilt of being unable to provide any answers to his younger sister when she asked about them. The pain weighed heavily on his shoulders, and it seemed like a dark cloud that followed him wherever he went.

Zi Aiming sighed as he took another gulp of his whiskey, trying to drown out the bitter taste of the past that lingered in his mind. Despite his deep love for his sister, the memories from the past continued to haunt not only him but also his family. It was a burden they all carried, with the sole exception of Zi Aixia, who remained blissfully unaware of the dark shadows that loomed over their family's history.

----------------------------------------------------

Zi Aixia diligently worked on her personal project, which involved creating artificial intelligence bots. She had completed a staggering 75 of them by 10 in the morning, and they resembled minute insects in appearance. However, despite their size, they possessed remarkable capabilities. Thanks to their artificial intelligence programming, these bots had the ability to make independent decisions and collect valuable information from their designated target locations.

Zi Aixia decided to test the capability of one of her newly created bots, sending it to her oldest brother Zi Aiming's room to observe what he was doing. In order to effectively compare the results, she had programmed all the bots identically in both their body and their code. This allowed her to assess the collective performance of her batch of bots through the observation of this single unit.

As the Insect AI crept into Zi Aiming's room, it quickly recorded the scene unfolding before it: Zi Aiming sitting in the room, his face flushed, clearly having imbibed a significant amount of alcohol. The footage was then promptly relayed to Zi Aixia's modified phone, offering her a real-time glimpse into her oldest brother's current state.

As Zi Aixia observed her oldest brother through the footage relayed by the AI, she was shocked to see him drinking in the morning and appearing unusually melancholy. Just as she instructed the AI to retreat, Zi Aiming grabbed his phone, opened the photos gallery, and muttered the name "Ainan." It appeared that he was reminiscing about the past, he touched the phone screen and sighed. The AI, having deemed this newfound information valuable, continued to broadcast the video footage without any hesitation. It remained steadfast in its task, continuing to relay the video stream, capturing every moment unfolding in front of it.

Zi Aixia locked the study room. Zi Aixia carefully took out a photo that she had hidden in her modified phone, locking the study room behind her. The photo was identical to the one that her oldest brother, Zi Aiming, was mourning and cradling in his hands. As she stared closely at the picture, a look of surprise washed over her face.

" Isn't...this me," Zi Aixia murmured to herself as she ran her fingers across the photo of the children in her hand. Confusion and disbelief etched across her face. The child depicted in the photograph was undeniably her, bearing a striking resemblance to her former self. The revelation left her momentarily stunned, her mind grappling with the implications of this unexpected parallel.

When she was discovered and taken by the organization in her past life, they had a photo of her, they recorded her growth by taking pictures every month. Without a doubt she knew how she looked like.

One of the child in that photo looked exactly like her, and there was another one beside her, " I think they're twins..".

" But...how come..they have this photo of me in this world?..."

Zi Aixia sat in contemplative silence as she fixated on the photo, her emotions roiling inside her like a tumultuous storm. The image seemed to ignite a wave of painful recollections from her past, leaving her feeling both nostalgic and unsettled. She struggled to make sense of the myriad of emotions that flooded her heart, her internal turmoil intensifying.

"Zera," Zi Aixia commanded her highly intelligent bot, "Analyze the facial features of the twins in this photo and predict how they will likely look as they grow older. Additionally, please provide me with an analysis on the appearance of the woman in the picture."

Zi Aixia's voice held a hint of uncertainty and disbelief as she observed the photo in her hands.

Zera swiftly initiated the requested scan, presenting the findings through a life-like mirage. The individuals depicted in the photo materialized before Zi Aixia's eyes, transforming the two-dimensional image into a shockingly lifelike representation. Upon seeing the predicted appearances of the people in front of her, Zi Aixia staggered backward, stunned by the uncanny resemblance to herself!!!.

The twins featured in the photo, who had been perfectly replicated through Zera's mirage, bore a striking resemblance to Zi Aixia. However, the most chilling revelation came to the fore as another person appeared in the mirage alongside Zi Aixia – her past self, Aina. The sight sent a shiver down Zi Aixia's spine, the undeniable recognition stirring a wave of unease within her.

The overwhelming shock rendered Zi Aixia powerless, her legs giving way as she collapsed. The truth unveiled through the mirage was too much to bear, leaving her unconscious. Zera, upon seeing Zi Aixia's state, quickly terminated the mirage and seized the opportunity to send a urgent text message using Zi Aixia's phone. It was addressed to Zi Aiming, Zi Aiyi, and Zi Aixuan, demanding their immediate presence in the study without delay.

Zera, acting quickly, commanded Zi Aixia's modified phone to conceal the photo on the table, ensuring its secrecy. Soon enough, Zi Aixuan burst into the study, his face drained of color as he caught sight of his sister lying motionless on the floor. Panic and concern clouded his features, his voice shaking as he cried out, "A-Aixia! What happened?"

Without wasting a moment, he rushed forward, crouching down beside his unconscious sister, his eyes fixed on her pale face. He gently shook her shoulder, trying to rouse her from her state of unconsciousness. "Aixia! Please wake up!" he pleaded, the fear in his voice palpable.

Without wasting a moment, Zi Aixuan scooped his sister up in his strong arms and quickly hurried out of the room. The other two brothers who just came , followed suit, their footsteps echoing in the hallway as they tried to keep up with Zi Aixuan's swift stride. They exchanged panicked glances, their shared worry for their sister visible in their tense expressions.

As they made their way towards the car, Zi Aixuan hurriedly set his unconscious sister in the backseat, gently resting her head back on the seat. He then turned towards the other two brothers, his voice urgent and filled with concern. "Quickly! Get in the car! We need to take her to the hospital now!"

Zi Aiming and Zi Aiyi wasted no time in obeying their youngest brother's command. They hurriedly climbed into the car, their minds racing with worry and anxiety. Zi Aiming got behind the steering wheel, determined to drive to the hospital as fast as possible, while Zi Aiyi took the passenger seat, his gaze fixed on his unconscious sister in the back.

The moment the engine roared to life, Zi Aiming stepped on the accelerator, tearing down the street as the hospital loomed in the distance. Zi Aiyi couldn't help but glance back repeatedly at his sister, his heart heavy with concern. Zi Aixuan, in the backseat, held her hand tightly, silently praying for her well-being as the car raced through the city.

In the hushed silence of the VVIP room, Zi Aixia lay motionless on the hospital bed, her body still and unresponsive. The attending doctor moved around her, diligently checking her vitals and monitoring her condition. The room was filled with an air of tension as the medical staff rushed to assess the cause of her sudden collapse.

The doctor calmly addressed the brothers, "Mr. Zi, there's no need to worry excessively. It appears that the combination of a lack of sleep and sudden shocking news may have contributed to her fainting spell. Her brain, unable to cope with the stress, temporarily shut down as a defense mechanism. She should regain consciousness within a few hours."
