Chapter 3 - Tales of break

Finally, after a long holiday filled with fun and adventures, everyone was set for school, up and ready to embrace the new class.

"Guys, come downstairs and join in for breakfast! I don't want you to be late for the first day," Mrs. Lyra called out, her voice cheerful yet firm.

The delicious scent of scrambled eggs and crispy bacon filled the air, making the kids' stomachs rumble with anticipation. As they hurried down the stairs, excitement mixed with a hint of nervousness filled the atmosphere, marking the start of a new chapter.

"Wow, what a surprise! You guys are all dressed up. Hmm, this period is not for dulling at all," Mr. Thorne exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

"Dad, I'm actually super excited to witness this class Astra and Draven have been hyping so much!" Vesper replied, bouncing on their toes. The thrill in the air was palpable, and the anticipation of what the day would bring made everyone feel alive with energy.

Everyone hurriedly ate their breakfast, the kitchen buzzing with energy. Astra was excited to step into class 11, while Draven was ready for the challenges of class 10. Vesper, on the other hand, was excited to step into class 9.

As she grabbed her bag, Vesper felt a mix of nerves and excitement. "I can't believe I'm entering a higher class" she said, her heart racing. Astra and Draven exchanged supportive smiles, each focused on their own paths ahead, but united in their shared excitement for the day.

"See you all this evening!" Mrs. Lyra said with a warm smile, waving goodbye. Her voice was filled with genuine affection, making everyone feel a little lighter as they headed off to their respective adventures.

Mrs Lyra added."Don't forget to share all your stories!" she added, her eyes sparkling with encouragement.

At Enigma Grove School, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter. Students greeted each other with enthusiastic hugs, eager to share their holiday adventures.

As Vesper stepped down from her father's car, she was taken aback by the vibrant scene before her; the school compound was alive with energy, a sea of familiar faces animatedly reconnecting.

With a bright smile, she waved goodbye to her siblings and dad, her heart racing with anticipation as she made her way toward her friends. The thrill of new stories and shared experiences awaited her, and she couldn't wait to dive into the lively conversations that filled the air.

Mr. Thorne was on his way to drop Astra and Draven at Whispering Pines Academy. On their journey, Astra was bubbling with excitement, eager to reunite with her friends after the long break.

As they approached the gates of Whispering Pines Academy, the atmosphere changed. The moment the gates swung open, a brisk breeze swept through, giving the place a refreshing feel.

Mr. Thorne drove down the long path, lined with tall trees that whispered softly in the wind. When they finally reached the main compound of the school, it was relatively quiet; only a few students lingered outside, while most were already inside the corridors and classrooms, settling into their routines.

Astra's heart raced with anticipation, ready to dive into the new school year.

"Hello students, welcome back for the new session at Enigma Grove School! I hope you all enjoyed your holidays," the principal called out, her voice resonating through the courtyard, capturing the attention of the gathered students.

In unison, everyone shouted, "Yes ma'am! We are happy to be back again!" Their voices mingled with the sound of laughter and chatter, creating a lively atmosphere filled with anticipation.

"That's nice to hear, students. You guys should head back to your classrooms now," she replied with a warm smile, her eyes twinkling with delight at their enthusiasm.

"Okay, Mrs. Thalia!" the students lamented in a happy tone, their faces beaming as they turned to make their way back inside.

The sun shone brightly overhead, casting playful shadows as they rushed through the hallways, eager to reconnect with friends and dive into the new school year.

Chairs scraped across the floor with a cacophony of noise as everyone unpacked their belongings, the air buzzing with excitement.

Vesper and Elara hadn't yet found the chance to embrace each other, their hearts eager for a reunion.

Once they finished unpacking their classroom supplies, Vesper, Elara, and Orion gathered in a cozy corner, their faces glowing with enthusiasm. "Can you believe all the adventures we had?" Vesper exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy.

Elara nodded vigorously, her voice animated as she shared stories of her holiday escapades.

Orion chimed in, adding his own tales, and soon they were all laughing, their voices blending into a cheerful symphony of friendship and nostalgia. The classroom buzzed with energy, and at that moment, it felt like no time had passed at all since they had last been together.

Hey there, what's up guys? Long chat, no see! How was your holiday? Astra and her friends Jasper and Nyx dove into their holiday adventures, sharing stories filled with laughter and excitement.

Meanwhile, Draven was already gisting his guys about a girl he met during a family picnic. His expression turned serious as he shared the sad twist—he had been trying to call her, but her line wasn't connecting.

"Hey, dullard, did you call to confirm whether it was the right number she gave you?" Caden asked, a teasing grin on his face.

Draven's brow furrowed as he tried to recall that moment. "Fuck! I didn't," he exclaimed, frustration creeping into his voice. "She just gave me the number, and I left with so much joy in my heart," he added, dramatically clutching his chest as if the emotional trauma was too much to bear.

His friends chuckled, but they could see the genuine disappointment in his eyes.

"Oh man, she just played you. What a girl," Kieran said, shaking his head with a mix of disbelief and amusement.

Draven shrugged, trying to mask his disappointment. "It doesn't matter; everything is still on track. I'm pretty sure one day we'll meet again," he replied, a hint of optimism creeping back into his voice.

Despite the setback, there was a glimmer of hope in his eyes, as if he believed that fate would bring them together once more.
