Mikel looked at her with a smile on his face. He knew she would eventually give in.
Erica bit her lips, she knew she would regret this but she had to, she had to get what she lost.
He stood up, walked towards her holding her hand and walking out of the office.
*
The sound of the screeching car stopped, Mikel got out, he didn't even open the car door for Erica. She didn't even care and opened it herself.
She found herself in front of a lawyer.
Her mind wasn't on what the lawyer was saying. All she knew was that she was now his. She had to be strong.
"Please mother give me strength"
She no longer heard the voice of the lawyer. She looked at Mikel who had a cold stone face.
He turned leaving. She didn't know what to do, she ran after him.
Opening the car door as well. He started the car engine driving. The car was dead silent making Erica feel awkward. She wished he would just turn on the audio so the tension could reduce.
He turned the car direction left heading to a villa. Just looking at the gate, she knew it was huge.
A man came opening the gate. Mikel drove inside. She was jaw dropped looking at the villa. It was magnificent.
Mikel parked and got down, Erica following suit.
She walked in so shocked, the parlour was so big it could fit in hundreds of people.
The painting was white and gold. The dinning was made of pure gold.
Mikel turned to Erica.
"There's just one rule here, don't come into my room, if you can obey that we can live peacefully" he said heading upstairs.
A maid came showing her a room. The bed was huge and soft, the pillow was so soft that if you laid your head on it, you cannot help but fall asleep.
She smiled at the maid thanking her
"Thanks"
The maid nodded and walked out. She sat on the bouncy bed.
She was now married, married to a man she doesn't know, married to a man who hates her.
She had no choice than to do this, she needed her mother's property and this was her only chance, power.
She knew she had a new life ahead of her.
