Your
Yesterday had been incredible. Sarafina felt like a newly made bride after her transformation. The preparations had taken so long that Sophie decided to stay over, helping her with the final setup in the morning. By the time they finally got some rest, exhaustion weighed heavily on them.
The sharp buzzing of a phone jolted Sarafina awake. Blinking groggily, she reached for it. Solana.
She hesitated before answering.
"Yeah, are you awake?" Solana's voice came through the receiver.
"Yeah, I'm awake," Sarafina replied, rubbing her temple.
"It's a long day today. Stay calm and make sure you wear the gift I bought you. See you at twelve."
"Okay," she said before the call ended.
By then, Sophie was stirring beside her. She sat up, stretching, then noticed Sarafina's pale expression.
"Who was that?" she asked, yawning.
"Solana," Sarafina murmured.
Sophie frowned. "And?"
"She said I should wear the gift she got me. But knowing her, I have a bad feeling she has a hidden motive."
Sophie smirked. "That's not a problem. We've already turned the tables on her. She gave you a fake, and we replaced it with the real one. If she even recognizes authenticity, she'll be in for a shock."
Sarafina let out a relieved breath and smiled.
Sophie teased, "My queen, at your service! Or should I marry you off to my brother?"
They both burst into laughter. "Come on," Sarafina chuckled as she headed to the kitchen to make tea while Sophie made the bed. Afterward, they took a long, relaxing shower to shake off their exhaustion.
The Final Touches
By 11 AM, Sophie pulled out a makeup box and got to work. She expertly applied foundation, highlighting Sarafina's naturally radiant skin. With each brushstroke, Sarafina felt a surge of confidence.
Sophie combed through her sleek, straightened hair before setting it into soft waves. Then, she carefully took out the dazzling earrings and secured them in place. The carats sparkled under the light, making her features even more striking.
Next came the gown—a breathtaking white, open-back dress that hugged her curves perfectly.
Sophie handed her a pair of stilettos. "Slip these on."
Sarafina did as instructed. Sophie then passed her a limited-edition designer bag, followed by a fur-lined jacket to keep the gown concealed until the right moment.
"One last thing," Sophie said, fastening the bracelet around Sarafina's wrist.
Sarafina turned to the mirror and gasped. She barely recognized herself. She looked elegant, confident, and—dare she say it—powerful.
"I'm in love with this," she whispered, her voice filled with emotion.
Sophie grinned. "Thank you so much, Sophie. You have no idea how happy I am."
"Your happiness is my happiness, sis. Consider this just the beginning—we have so much more to do together."
Sarafina chuckled, shaking her head. "You were right. I owe you big time."
Sophie winked. "Now, go and crush that old-school gathering."
Arriving at the Venue
Sophie got dressed as well before driving Sarafina to the event.
The venue was a luxurious restaurant near City Hall. The atmosphere was refined, with soft music playing and an air of exclusivity surrounding it.
Sarafina unbuckled her seatbelt and turned to Sophie. "Thanks for the ride."
"Call me when you're done," Sophie said with a wink before driving off.
Sarafina took a deep breath, smoothed down her dress, and stepped inside. Today was the day she would make her presence known to everyone.
