" Sh-t! Sh-t! Sh-t! Don't f–king die Julian…please, I still have sh-t to say to you! What the f—- "
Before this time of war, the world was a beautiful, beautiful, kind, place. You could just hear the birds chirping and children playing as soon as you awoke. The songs nature would sing go unnoticed, appreciated, but not attended to. We never got to savor those treasured moments. Oh how we wished we did, soon those birds would fall out of the sky and die, snapping their necks on the street. Soon those kids would be abducted, attacked, murdered, and infected. Soon, your body, your looks, your personality, none of that bullsh-t would matter. You simply were either an ally or an enemy. That was what truly decided your place, at least now.

" Ah! I'm so late to school…gosh does my hair look alright? Ugh! Whatever, it doesn't even matter. " *I struggled my foot into socks and then into my shoes, I brushed my brown medium-length hair with blonde bangs out of my hair and behind my ears.* " I should cut it, I hate it when people call me a girl. Boys can have long hair too. "
*I make my way into the school, as I walk down the hallway, I enter my homeroom, and the rest of my day went by as per usual.*
*The bell rung After school concluded, I got on my bus and arrived home and opened the door to my room. My bus is a 3 ½ hour ride, so it was about 6pm so I decided to just read and then sleep. But when I awoke,
Narrators Point of View.
Julian woke up, rubbing his eyes before brushing away the sheets. And shifting his body over, before sitting up confused at the time. The time read 3:42 am.
" What..I never wake up at this time. " *He yawned softly before putting on his slippers and opening the door to his room.
Julian's Point of View.
( I usually aren't awake at this time of night…) *I heard the sound of gurgles and groans and stepped down my stares quietly peeking from the railing* ( What the h-ll? ) *What stood before me was the back of my mother, in front of her lay my dads body with deep wounds almost torn apart. She continued to groan as I observed her body, it was a grayish army green color and she had wounds and Cordyceps creeping along her body. It wasn't long before she took a sharp turn towards me. However I froze and stopped breathing. And it was as if I wasn't there as she ran away making a clicking noise before exiting through the broken glass that was our window. ( M-Mom?! Was she a..a…sh-t ) *I exited the house and immediately ran outside, however the neighborhood was full of them. I crouched to my moms truck. I am seventeen so I know how to drive, although the model was more complex. I began to drive away. Avoiding hurting any non-infected. But not stopping to help them. I started to see hijacked planes fall, parachutes, hot air balloons, all transportation was being used. Even if used in panic, causing it to fail. I found shelter and hid there for 5 months.
