Sekai currently rubbing his face after getting slapped from Eula by accident while Captain of Recon currently apologizing to him for what she just did.
Eula: I'm really sorry *mumbling* it's not time yet baka...
Sekai: N-no it's fine.
After the small incident, the group continued their journey until they reached the outskirts of a forest. Suddenly, Eula signaled for them to stop, prompting the carriage driver to rein in the horses.
Her expression turned serious as she surveyed their surroundings. Something's off.
Eula: Stay alert. There's something wrong.
The others instinctively drew their weapons—except for Sekai, who simply raised his hand and made a pistol gesture toward Eula.
Eula: Sekai, what are you doing?
Sekai: Oh, don't worry about me. Just stand still.
Eula: Huh?
Her confusion deepened, but before she could demand an explanation, the sound of rustling came from the bushes right behind her. Sekai's smirk widened.
Then—
???: "Hyuh!"
A figure lunged from the shadows.
Sekai: Bullseye!
Bang!
A concentrated beam of light shot from his fingertip, striking the Treasure Hoarder scout square in the chest and sending him stumbling back into a tree with a grunt.
Then more treasure hoarder come out of nowhere and surrounded the caravan. Eula, Rosaria and Aether make quick work off them. Sekai on the other hand just continue blasting light beam from range. As the remaining treasure hoarder quickly retreat.
Eula: Damn those treasure hoarders
Aether: Well, that settle it…
Just after Aether said that more treasure hoarder arrived almost the size of small army.
Sekai: (sigh) you just have to jinx us.
Aether: S-sorry
As Sekai starts to casually walk to them with his hand on pocket, Eula steps in front of him with serious expression.
Eula: Sekai what are you doing? You can't be serious?!
Sekai: Well with me and Aether here, this gonna be a piece of cake. Right bro…
Aether: (sigh) Just my luck. Let just end this. Paimon is hungry.
Paimon: Hey!!!
Sekai and Aether just chuckle at Paimon.
Sekai: Yare yare… talk about pain in the ass!
Paimon: Sekai! Language!
Aether just smiles and walk in front with Sekai standing confront of the army of treasure hoarders.
Aether: Okey how about y'all go home before we kick your asses.
Paimon: Look you give bad example on Ather!!
Aether and Sekai just sweatdrop at Paimon remark.
Meanwhile the treasure hoarder looks at each other before they begun to laugh at Aether and Sekai with one of them pointed his weapon to them.
???: Are you making joke show here?! You brat! Just go back. Look we have an army!
Sekai: And I failed to see the problem (smirk)
???: Get them!!
One ordered as many treasure hoarder rush towards to the mercenary as he just smirk.
Aether: I will take right one, you take left.
Sekai: Alright boss. Dinner on me today!
Aether: (smirk) look forward on that.
Sekai's jacket starts to change into grey as he instantly used Solar Leap towards group of treasure hoarder then cast Solar Flare to blind them. He then proceeds to summon his Solar Blade and spam mini–Solar Blade Shot shooting them one by one making them fall for each shot he done. Then a new group of treasure hoarders manage to pass through and tries to attack him but quickly went down when Sekai use Solar Beam to knock them away, one manages to escape his attack tries to sneak attack him but got kick on stomach as another tries to punch him but he manage to dodge using solar leap.
Then Sekai dodges another poor attack attempt before grabbing one of them on throat and slam him to ground. He pulled out his Solar Blade and quickly swing it at the circling enemies throwing them all down eating dirt.
As he looks at the other group taunting them by dropping middle finger, the F-bomb manage to enrage them as the charge at him. Sekai did the same by using Solar Leap to instantly move to his enemy. The two colliding side clashes as several people were sent flying on mid-air as Sekai relentlessly slash and hack every single treasure hoarder that come on his way.
The Treasure Hoarders watched in shock and fear as the two young men tore through their ranks with ease, cutting them down like paper. Their once confident formation crumbled as panic spread among them.
???: W-who the hell is those brats!
???: It doesn't matter! Get the archer!!
As the thins line of bow men were from and position nearby cliff and the leader give order with their bow aiming towards Aether and Sekai, who both busy slashing their comrades in the chaos of battle.
???: Fire!!!
As soon the word fell, they let loose their arrow at both of them, Sekai seeing this instantly Solar Leap, positioning himself in front of Aether before swiftly slicing each arrow midair, reducing them to tiny fragments.
As the shattered remains of the arrows rained down, the treasure hoarders stood frozen in fear, their confidence wavering at the sight of Sekai's overwhelming display.
Aether: Thanks Sekai.
Sekai: No prob… but that group of archers may become a problem. Have any idea?
Aether: I can send flying slash, but I don't think it can reach them from here.
Sekai: Herm… just do it. I will support you. Sekai Cyclone Power! Whirling Cyclone!
Sekai swept through the battlefield, unleashing Whirling Cyclone, carving a clear path through the enemies. Seeing the opening, Aether gave a nod before dashing forward, his blade cutting through the remaining treasure hoarder with swift, precise slashes.
With a final strike, he unleashed a Slitting Wind, which surged forward towards Treasure hoarder archer. The lingering cyclone energy from Whirling Cyclone amplified its power, making it grow larger and faster as it roared toward the archers, blasting them away in a powerful gust.
???: T-they are monster!
???: Don't just stand there, just kill me!
Sekai & Aether: What?
Everyone: What?!
???: I-I mean Kill them!!
One of the ring leader order as few more charge towards Sekai as they try to slow him down but, this is just child play for him as he fights through wave after wave completely demolishing treasure hoarder blockade with ease.
Meanwhile Aether after his attack continue to dismantle an army of treasure hoarder on his side with ease cutting them down like nothing.
Eula: w-wow… I can't believe this… is my eyes playing trick on me or they really just defeating an entire army by themselves.
Rosaria: Mr. Silver, he's so amazing and so strong~! Ahhhh~
Paimon: they having fun without Paimon!!
Everyone else just deadpan at Paimon comment.
Back to Sekai who now tagging with Aether kicking several butts of treasure hoarder as they are now cowering in fear as a lot of them are retreating from battlefield after witnessing their comrade fall in the hand of both monster defeat them like competing scoring score in slice and dice a game.
???: G-goddamnit! how the hell this happen all of sudden?!
the ring leader yelled in frustration as he watches down his army being completely crush by two brats.
???: Okey wise guy, try this for a size!!!
He shouted at them as everyone hears a loud footstep coming from the horizon as everyone turned their attention to the source of the noise, Both Aether and Sekai eyes widened in surprise.
The first thing he saw was a rock like golem has entered the battlefield spinning clearing it path pushing some treasure hoarder on it way.
Sekai: Don't you ever heard of words friendly fire!!
Eula: Oh Archons, is that R-ruin Guard?!
???: Hah! Let see how tough you now!!
Then all of sudden the ruin guard jumps towards Aether and Sekai. Aether manages to back flipped away, while Sekai uses Solar Leap. The ruin guard continue to punch Aether but he manages to block it with his sword but he was getting push by ruin guard until the ruin guard break his defense and manage to land punch directly to him knocking him off balance and went flying into midair.
The ruin guard grabs Aether from the air and slammed into the ground causing dirt to surround the impact area. Paimon and rest watch in horror. The ruin guard continue to punch at impacted area and it begun to follow a few more.
???: Yes, that it! Crush him!!
Paimon: Aether!!!
Eula: No!!
As the ruin guard continuedly bombard the area with punch, it suddenly stops. Because it deems the enemy already dead.
???: Hahahah!! That one down, next is you brat-?!
Sekai: Guess that thing really didn't differentiate friend from foe huh Aether?
Aether: I mean, I don't even think that thing follow their command. Look it jump towards group of treasure hoar---
Suddenly Paimon jump to Aether crying.
Paimon: *crying* Don't make Paimon worried again like that!!!
Eula: Aether?! But how?!
Aether: Well, Sekai can you do the honor?
Sekai: (sigh) Do I have to?
Everyone else: Yeah!!
Sekai proceeds to tell on how he instantly solar leap at random treasure hoarder and leap back at Aether switching Aether place with unlucky treasure hoarder and teleport back away. Then proceed to watch the show with Aether.
???: What?!
Eula: How even you manage to that in instant?!
Sekai: Yare yare… you don't know how busted teleportation can be…
???: Impossible! Isn't matter, get up and kill they all!!
The ruin guard turn to Aether direction and charged towards him.
Aether: Sekai! Let show them the power that repel Stromterror!!
Sekai: On it!
Anemo element start to surround Aether, then he summons forward-moving tornado.
Aether: Gust Surge!!
Sekai: Cyclone Rush!
Sekai engulfs Aether Gust Surge with cyclone element to enhance it into bigger tornado that rush towards Ruin Guard pulling it into the tornado and continue forwards pulling each treasure hoarder on it path including their leader. The ruin guard explode in the tornado infusing pyro element to tornado changing it into Fiery tornado. After a while the fiery tornado become faster and faster then explode leaving behind massive crater beneath it.
The remaining treasure hoarder losing their leader looks at Aether and Sekai with fear as they begun to drop their weapon and fleeing from battlefield until Eula make an ice wall to block their escape path leaving them nowhere to run and kneel to ground.
The elemental man looks at destruction that he made turning around to Aether and spoke.
Sekai: (panicking) We don't need to pay any compensation for that right?
Aether: (sweatdrop) I hope not, if we must pay, we can deduct it from Paimon emergency fund.
Paimon: Hey!!
Eula: (Sigh) let just continue our mission.
