The tension in the estate had settled into something heavier.
Something unspoken.
Roo could feel it pressing down on him, thick like the summer heat before a storm.
The triplets weren't just watching him anymore.
They were waiting.
For what, he wasn't sure.
The Estate—Morning...
The sun streamed through the towering glass windows, casting golden hues across the vast halls of the DeLorenzo estate.
Roo sat at the long dining table, untouched food in front of him. His fingers hovered over the fork, but his appetite had vanished.
The weight of three sets of eyes bore into him.
Alexander, Alec, and Ace sat at their usual spots, their gazes unwavering.
They weren't eating either.
They were studying him.
Possessive. Unrelenting.
As if waiting for him to crack.
Roo swallowed, gripping the edge of the table. "I can eat alone, you know."
Ace smirked, leaning back lazily in his chair. "We know."
Alec's golden eyes glinted. "We just don't care."
Roo exhaled sharply. "You can't just—"
Alexander leaned forward, cutting him off with a single look. "We can. And we will."
His voice was quiet, but it sent a shiver down Roo's spine.
The fork in Roo's hand trembled. His body betrayed him, reacting to the intensity of their presence in a way he hated.
Or maybe… in a way he didn't entirely hate.
That was the problem.
Roo's Room—Afternoon...
He needed space.
He needed air.
Roo pressed his palms against the cool glass of the balcony doors, staring out at the endless stretch of forest beyond the estate.
His heart pounded.
The triplets' control over him was suffocating. Overwhelming.
And yet, his body yearned for their presence.
For their warmth.
For their touch.
He clenched his fists, nails biting into his palms. No.
He couldn't let this happen.
Couldn't let them consume him.
A soft knock at the door shattered his thoughts.
Before he could answer, it creaked open.
Alexander stepped inside first, his movements slow, deliberate.
Alec followed, his golden gaze unreadable.
Ace leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, smirking.
Roo took a step back, but Alexander was faster.
He reached out, gripping Roo's wrist—firm, but not painful. His touch sent a sharp jolt through Roo's body.
"We've been patient," Alexander murmured. "Too patient."
Alec's fingers tilted Roo's chin up. "You're ours, little omega."
Ace's smirk deepened as he shut the door behind them.
"No more running."
Roo's breath caught.
This was dangerous.
This was inescapable.
And worst of all…
This was exactly what his traitorous body craved.
Elsewhere—The Enemy Moves...
The dark chamber was silent, save for the steady drip of water from the stone ceiling.
A lone figure knelt before the hooded man, his head bowed.
"They're guarding him too closely," the man whispered. "We won't get close."
The hooded figure hummed, amusement flickering in his voice. "Then we change the game."
He leaned forward, voice laced with quiet malice.
"We don't need to take him."
He smiled, slow and cruel.
"We just need to make him break."
The candlelight flickered—
And then went out.
