Chapter 2 - INDEED A MYSTERY

It was so bright in the morning, and the sun shone directly into Alina's room as she slightly opened her eyes. Her friends stared at her, and she looked around in confusion, trying to figure out what had happened.

"Hooooaaah," she yawned.

"What a lovely dream! What? Did I just say a dream? Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, it can't be a dream. Why was it a dream?" she asked rhetorically. "It really looked so real to be called a dream."

"Alina," her friend Emy called her once again.

"Yes, yes, yes, it was you guys; I heard my name twice in the dream. Oooohhhmmm, you guys really interrupted such a sweet dream. We would have all seen it."

"Seen what?" Emy and L11th qaily asked.

"Seen the mysterious outcome," Alina replied.

"What mysterious outcome?" they both asked.

"You know what? I need to go back to sleep because I don't even know the outcome. Goodbye." Alina said while lying on her back, her friends immediately dragged her out of bed.

"Be sober right now; neither of us can comprehend what you're blabbing," Lily said.

"Do you know how long we have been trying to wake you?" Emy asked.

"Okay, fine, sit down, both of you." Alina narrated her dream, and they were both astonished.

"Wow! No wonder you wanted to go back to sleep; this dream is indeed a mystery," Emy said.

"So what were we about to look at?" Lily asked.

"I actually can't remember; I just don't know why. Anyway, help me with the interpretation."

"Interpretation?" they both asked.

"Yeah, go on," Alina said. Emy was a fairy who interpreted visions, while Lily was a flower fairy. Therefore, they were equal to the task.

"Now how am I going to do this?" Lily asked.

"Emy will definitely be able to interpret your dream, but I'm still unable to identify the flower species based on your description. I have never heard or seen anything like that, and at this rate, I need to see the flower to know the species."

Lily was well-versed in the names, medicinal properties, and other details of flowers and plants. She could describe it in detail, but she was unable to identify the location, method, or nature of the flower in Alina's dream. It was rare to find a flower, vision, and interpreter fairy outside the palace. They were usually found in or near the palace. No one knew about Alina, Emy, and Lily's abilities other than their families. In other words, none of the three were well-known in the Kingdom. They kept to themselves and were almost invisible.

"The answer is within you." They looked up as soon as they heard a voice. "The three of you have the ability to share the dream that Alina had, if only you wish to," the unknown fairy said.

"Did you just say that I can share my dream with Emy and Lily?" Alina asked.

"Yes, the three of you are the only ones that have this special gift since the Spectaculars will come from you," the unknown fairy said.

"Spectaculars?" the three of them asked in a confused state.

"Yes, the Spectaculars. Don't bother asking any further questions about them; focus on this."

"Okay, so how do we do it?" Alina asked.

"Figure it out yourselves," she said and disappeared.

They were silent for a while, as they contemplated on what to do and how to do it before Alina abruptly interrupted.

"Do you know what I think?", Alina asked.

"What?" Lina and Emy asked.

"In my opinion, this has to do with the strength of our imaginations. We need to focus our minds on this," Alina said.

"I believe you're correct," Lina said.

"I think we should hold hands, close our eyes, and clear our minds so that you both can see what I want to show you because you know that power cannot pass through us when we are apart". Alina said.

"Then let's give it a shot." Emy said.

As soon as they followed Alina's instructions, a blue glow engulfed them. Emy and Lily were able to visualize Alina's dream vividly, and when Alina was done, she removed her mind from the dream, and the blue light disappeared. They rested for a while since they were weak. After resting, Emy decided to interpret the dream she saw. She opened her eyes and gazed at the sky; her eyes were blue, and she felt as though she was seeing everything again.

"This dream will eventually come to pass. It will not happen exactly as you saw it but the most crucial details will take place. You will meet the old woman, but the way you got the seed and the bowl of sand will be different, a different environment altogether, different from ours. On the contrary, a Supreme welcome will be held prior to the celebration, and the travel will be lengthy. The two girls' appearance indicates that Lily and I will give birth on the day the flower opens."

Emy passed out after saying all of these things, and Alina and Lily were shocked because she had never passed out after interpreting a dream or vision. Her eyes had never been blue, either. They let her rest, and when she woke up, she asked.

"What happened?"

"We should be asking you what had happened to you. Why were your eyes blue? You even fainted, which has never happened to you before." Lily said surprisingly.

"I don't know too, I have never felt this way before. I think it's because Alina shared the dream with a blue light, and for me to interpret it, the blue light has to appear." Emy said.

"What blue light?" Lina asked.

"No wonder I felt that way." Alina said.

"What way?" Lina asked inquisitively.

"When I began to share my dream, I had a feeling that there was a blue light, but our eyes were closed, so how did you see it?", Alina asked Emy.

"I opened my eyes immediately I stopped seeing the dream, and I saw the light disappear".

"Wow!", Lily exclaimed. "By the way, the flower in your dream is a very special flower although I have never seen it before and I don't know where it comes from; but I have a strong feeling that it must be from the supreme house", Lily said.

"Very clever, I never considered that, Lily. Now that I think about it, no one has ever seen the supreme house before. We only know of it from legends penned by unidentified authors. It's rather odd that the writers don't even write their names," Emy remarked.

"No, Emy, it has been witnessed by others." Lily said.

"Really?" Alina asked.

"Indeed. Now, only those endowed with the highest powers are able to perceive it. Before the first battle, the supreme house was surrounded by other houses, according to an old storybook which I read," Lily remarked.

"So why the change?" Alina asked.

"What happened?" Emy also enquired.

"Slow down, you two," Lily remarked while laughing. "A war broke out."

"A war?" They both questioned.

"Like seriously? A war in this kingdom?" Emy asked.

"Yes, a war ," Lina said. "There was indeed a war in this kingdom, a war that changed everything. Let me take you back to the history of Swerverland."
