Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A Strange Switch

Ira ran as fast as her legs could carry her, barely making it to the bus. Gasping for breath, she plopped down on an empty seat, her heart still racing. Her college was miles away from home, and every day was the same mundane journey.

Ira sighed, looking out of the window.

"This boring life… wake up, catch the bus, attend boring lectures, and repeat! Ugh, I wish I could just escape somewhere… anywhere but here!" she muttered to herself.

As the rhythmic hum of the bus engine lulled her to sleep, her wish echoed in her mind.

When she opened her eyes moments later, something felt… off.

The bus had gone past her stop. Panicking, she dashed towards the door and pressed the stop button. The bus screeched to a halt, and without thinking, Ira jumped off.

She landed awkwardly and almost fell face-first, but before she could hit the ground, someone grabbed her hand. Everything spun in a strange 180-degree whirl as a bright, smoky light enveloped her. She blinked rapidly, her head spinning as she tried to make sense of what just happened.

When the light faded, Ira found herself in the middle of a breathtaking jungle.

The air was crisp, waterfalls roared in the distance, and the place radiated an almost magical beauty.

"Whoa… this place is incredible! But wait, how did I get here? I was just near college! Did my college friends pull some prank? No way, they can't even afford a decent snack, let alone this!" she rambled to herself.

Suddenly, a commanding voice cut through the air.

"Prince Yuvan! Prince Yuvan, the queen is calling for you!"

Ira froze.

"Prince… Yuvan? Who's that?"

She turned around, but no one else was there. The soldier, dressed in ancient armor, marched straight towards her and saluted.

"Your Highness, why are you standing here? The queen will be furious if you delay any longer."

Ira pointed to herself, bewildered. "Uh… me? You're talking to me?!"

"Yes, Your Highness," the soldier said seriously. "Who else would I be addressing?"

Ira stumbled to a nearby stream and gasped as she looked at her reflection. Her face, hands, and hair were the same as always, but the soldier wasn't joking.

"What is going on? I'm clearly a girl… Ira… and not some prince! Why does this guy think I'm Yuvan?"

Before she could dwell on it further, the soldier stepped closer.

"Your Highness, we must leave now. The queen's patience is wearing thin."

"I'm not a prince!" Ira protested, her voice rising. "You've got the wrong person!"

The soldier's expression hardened. "Enough games, Prince Yuvan. If you don't come willingly, I'll have no choice but to escort you by force."

His towering frame and authoritative tone left no room for argument. Ira quickly realized there was no point in resisting; he was far too strong, and running away wasn't an option.

With a heavy sigh, she gave in.

"Fine. Lead the way," she muttered, her mind racing with questions she couldn't yet answer.

The soldier guided her deeper into the jungle, with no other choice, Ira followed him reluctantly.
