They tried to give him water as they thought , maybe he got choked by something. But it was in vein.
Then noel look around and saw his right leg bleeding and the bleeding spot had turned blue.
" His poisoned!.
Uuhh!....
They all stood up and looked at each other.
" What do you mean?.
" He was pierced by a poisonous thorn. Marcus don't forget you got no shoes.
As they were still thinking of how to save khons, he suddenly stop shaking, when noel check .
" His not breathing."
But still they had to continue looking for others. Marcus got khons shoes and wore them.
" Sorry khons, but let me borrow your shoes, he whispered.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the forest came alive with the sounds of rustling leaves and distant howls.
The trio, hearts heavy with the loss of their friend, gathered their courage and continued deeper into the woods, determined to retrieve the spears as fast as they could.
But first they needed to find others , that was their main motive at that moment.
Suddenly, a glimmer caught Noel's eye.
"Look!" he exclaimed, pointing towards a spear wedged in a tree. But caution tinged his voice.
"It could be a trap."
Mathias, fueled by desire to prove his bravery, took a step closer, unaware of the danger coiling above him.
Just as Mathias reached for the spear, Noel's instincts kicked in. He surged forward, shoving Mathias to the ground just in time.
An enormous python, its scales glistening like polished emeralds, slithered down the tree, hissing furiously.
"Oh my… what in the world!" Mathias stammered, his eyes wide with shock.
"See? I'm a fantastic brother-in-law," Noel quipped, a nervous smile creeping onto his face as they both scrambled to their feet.
"But we still need those spears if we're going to survive this forest."
With the snake now a looming presence above them, Marcus quickly assessed their predicament.
"I have an idea!" he declared. Reaching down, he ripped off the sole of his rubber shoe and turned to Noel.
"Can I borrow your lighter?"
"Uh, okay?" Noel replied, a mixture of curiosity and concern flickering across his face.
Marcus explained as he fumbled for the lighter,
"My mom used to burn motor tyres to repel snakes. Let's see if it works here!"
He struck the lighter, the flame flickering to life, then guided it beneath the tree, where the python lingered.
As the acrid smell of burning rubber filled the air, the magnificent serpent writhed in discomfort.
Minutes felt like hours, but finally, the python's resistance waned. With a reluctant, twisting motion, it slithered away from the spear and vanished into the dark, leaving the artifact unguarded.
"Ha!..yes! It worked!" Marcus cheered, pumping his fist in triumph.
"But what about your foot?" Mathias teased, watching Marcus cautiously.
Noel, ever pragmatic, interjected,
"We need to consider what's more dangers lie ahead, not just Marcus's shoes." With evening creeping in and darkness enveloping the forest, they were acutely aware that they needed to seek shelter.
After some wandering, the group stumbled upon Mary and Jack, two more players who had braved the forest's trials. After a brief reunion, they continued their search for the remaining players, and soon their entire party emerged, weary yet determined, ready to face whatever the night might hold.
They set up a campfire, the flickering flames providing a semblance of safety amidst the encroaching shadows of the forest. While Mathias settled down for a nap, the others remained on high alert, glancing around nervously.
"Mathias, how can you sleep in a jungle like this? Aren't you worried?" Marcus prodded, shaking him gently.
Mathias yawned and stretched, his eyes half-awake. "I have a brave brother-in-law," he said, nodding towards Noel. "He'll protect me. Right, Noel?"
"Of course," Noel replied, though he couldn't help but feel a twinge of worry gnawing at him. The forest was merciless, and despite Mathias's apparent calmness, he wasn't entirely sure how safe they really were.
As night draped itself over the forest, silence fell but for the chirping of crickets and the distant hoots of owls. Suddenly, a rustle in the bushes startled Neil, prompting him to excuse himself to answer nature's call.
He wandered off a few paces, only to be met with a chilling cry that pierced the tranquil night.
"Help…!" It was a scream that echoed with desperation.
Panic surged through the group. Marcus and Mathias bolted to their feet, fear flashing in their eyes.
"Neil!" they shouted, racing toward the last place they saw him.
With hearts pounding, they plunged into the shadows, the forest twisting around them as they called for their friend.
The darkness felt alive, as if it were watching, waiting for one misstep. The adventure was far from over, and they knew every decision could lead them closer to safety—or doom.
But still it was dark they had no choice but to wait till morning before they look for khons
