Chapter 9 - Batrayal.

Everything just freaked off Musa.

He knew he had slim chances of surviving at that moment, as he tried begging for mercy. While regretting why he didn't listen to max earlier.

"Guess, this is my fate." He thought

"Please, no…, please don't hurt me..!" Musa wailed, his ankle twisting painfully as an invisible force gripped him.

" I don't want to die.. please stop...

He screamed in pain. Though he could feel the presence of Madam Koi-Koi, the ghost of a brutal teacher, yet he couldn't see her, but only hard creepy laughter.

He screamed for help, but his voice was swallowed by the wall, unable to echo outside. Struggling at the door, he felt his ankle twist again and again, each time more agonizing than the last.

"Hahahaha..."

The ghost's laughter echoed through the corridor, a haunting melody that danced around him, mocking his suffering and pain.

Musa's cries turned into desperate pleas. "Just let me go!" he shouted, " please..." but his pleas only fueled her wrath.

With a swift, cruel movement, she pulled off his foot away from his leg, blood splattering the pristine floor as he succumbed to the horror, his body growing limp.

In the soft light of dawn, Max become worried of his friend, began to search for Musa when he noticed his absence.

"Strange! By now he should be out...

That's unlike him. He thought.

Alarmed, he moved from room to room, calling out his name until he finally opened a door that left him paralyzed with fear.

"No..no..no..this can't be.." he muttered

Musa lay on the floor, lifeless and surrounded by a pool of blood, one foot missing. The chilling reality gripped the remaining players tightly.

"We should bury him," Max suggested, his voice trembling.

"No need," Mathias interjected, the reality dawning on everyone. "We're not in the real world… if we die here, we just vanish." As they turned to leave, Musa's body slowly faded, as if he never existed before in there.

The group left the scene, haunted but pressed with urgency as only eight of the initial ten players remained.

The days passed quickly; the players felt the weight of impending doom each minutes that elapses, as long as they don't solve the mystery of madam koi-koi in a hurry, then most of them may died.

Possibly, all of them.

Max, left alone had to teamed up with Mathias and Marcus, the trio ready to face the dark entity that threatened their lives.

Meanwhile, the devious members of "The Extras" began to plot against them, determined to eliminate the competitors.

Their aims was Mathia and Marcus, but they had to start with the easy ones.

Well for them only winning is their priority, how they achieve their goal doesn't matter to them. The huge number of players was a threat to them.

With evil motives, they lured Andrew into their trap, providing him with twisted guidance to break the taboo.

But first they searched for the tree the school compound, as long as it isn't madam koi-koi's, where they broke one branch, divided it in the middle, then they walked comfortably with them,

"Your Andrew...,right!

Andrew looked at them so surprised since they never engaged with players anyhowly.

" Yes , it's me. How may l help you?"

They looked at each other with a smile and looked back to Andrew. "We want to tell you a secret, but first you must promise us..you won't tell anyone."

Without hesitation, he nodded his head. The one of players come nearer to his ears and whispered .

" Get one of the sticks, break it in the middle and move with it, but never throw it down. She will never haunt you."

" Just like us" the other also responded

Using sticks they claimed would protect him but it was a lie, or rather, their trap.

As the sun set, Andrew and Diddy, went to the abandoned block, while Andrew terrified yet convinced, broke one of the sticks and nervously explored the school's haunted class, SS4 with so much courage while swinging his two sticks.

" I be right back."

Diddy went to the restroom leaving Andrew alone.

Diddy returned from the bathroom to find Andrew in distress behind a locked door, screaming in agony.

Outside, Diddy heard the dreadful echo of one shoes from behind him—"Koi-koi, koi-koi…"

Instinctively, he slowly turned, finally facing Madam Koi-Koi herself.

"Do you want to help your friend?" she purred, her voice dripping with malice.

"Yes! Yes!

"Please! What do I want to save him." Diddy begged, desperate to save Andrew.

"Just answer my riddle, correctly."

Madam Koi-Koi riddled him. " I had two red heels... one I have, but one I lost. My legs hurt; one is high, one is low... only one echo is heard—can you give me yours?.... What shoe did I lose?"

Time ticked away, and Andrew's cries pierced through Diddy's ears , louder and louder, each minutes that passes.

"Just tell me the answer!...

"Time is running out, Diddy," she taunted. "Do you really want to save your friend?"

With panic surging through him, Diddy answered, "The red one!" A chilling smile spread across Madam Koi-Koi's face as she released her grip on Andrew, immediately, the class room was silent. Andrew cried silenced.

Bang! Bang! Bang!.

"Andrew! Andrew! Can you hear me?"

Diddy hit the door so hard as he yelled hoping to hear from Andrew, but he hared no response. In an instant, his ankle twisted grotesquely, and he fell to the floor as Madam Koi-Koi seized his foot, leaving him writhing in pain while bleeding.

As the clock struck six, the remaining players stood in dread as two friends didn't come back. They knew they had to stick together if they were to survive,

As the reality of the game dug deeper into their hearts. Solving the mystery of Madam Koi-Koi became their only hope, as they understood that in a game where death meant disappearance, every choice mattered.

And most importantly, wisdom.

The player from Extra company, weren't bothered with the disappearance of Diddy and Andrew, rather they were happy, that they had succeeded..

" Mission a complished." They laughed.
