Prologue

The full moon hung high in the sky, bathing the battlefield in a cold, silvery light. Bodies lay scattered on the ground, while flames consumed the last banners of the resistance. In the centre of that scene of devastation, a man stood, bloodied, holding a broken sword.

'So that's how it ends...' muttered Tharion, feeling the metallic taste of blood in his mouth. His enemies surrounded him, looks of triumph etched on their faces. He recognised them: former allies who were now betraying him for power, for gold, for glory.

'You were a fool, Tharion. Your kingdom fell because you trusted too much,' declared one of the traitors, a cruel smile on his lips. 'But don't worry, we'll be remembered as the heroes who brought down the tyrant.'

With one last effort, Tharion raised his broken sword. He knew he wouldn't win. Not this time. But he refused to go down without a fight. The wind roared around him as he charged, an unstoppable force, even in the face of the inevitable. The enemy blade pierced his chest, and the intense pain was replaced by a strange sense of calm.

As his vision darkened, Tharion whispered to himself: 'If there's another chance... I'll do it differently.'

What came next was not the emptiness he had expected. A golden light enveloped him, warm and comforting. When he opened his eyes, he found himself lying in a vibrant, magical forest, the sound of unfamiliar birds echoing around him. His hand, now young and unscarred, clutched the fertile ground. He was alive. But he was no longer the same.

And so Tharion began his new journey, unaware that ancient forces had plans for him... and that the fate of the world was once again in his hands.
