Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 : Wanna bury her.... Alive

My father used to say

Wings of freedom that fly up the sky gets betrayed by words full of lies

Wise words, weren't they? Even so he never mentioned What happens when the lies are his own.He believed himself to be an anchor of truth . Funny thing about anchors, they can drag you down faster than they can lift you up .Just like he raised me only to gamble away my dignity .

Today is the day. The grand auction of Celeste Azure . Maids were hired specifically for this day, obviously by my lovely parents. They would sell their soul & their daughter but won't abandon their status. My worth weighed against the stars , yet my fate is sealed by their chains. For this glorious event, I let them dress me in an indigo silhouette. The silky fabric shimmering like moonlight on calm waters. Deep V neck offered a glimpse of my cleavage, blue gloves glided over the rich fabric of the indigo dress .A plunging open back framed by delicate straps that curved gracefully over my shoulders, leaving my spine exposed like an invitation to rebellion All those women fussed over me.One adjusted the hem, brushing it gently against my thigh, while another carefully arranged the crisscross straps over my open back, ensuring every detail was flawless.

My cherry-red hair was a fiery cascade, styled in soft, voluminous waves that nodded to the glamour of 60s. A thin, matching headband held the tresses back, accentuating my feline bold eyeliner & nudge lips. I was also fed VERY well throughout the day just like an animal is fed & taken care of gracefully right before their sacrifice. The room was bright yet so cold.Cigarette burnt across the dressing table .As I reached for it, a maid leaned in with the cigarette. Holding it delicately between her fingers, without breaking her poised demeanor. I parted my lips allowing the cigarette to rest their. The maid struck a match, the flame briefly illuminated my cherry-red hair.

"Crazy how people will recruit others to do all your chores, take care of your needs but still won't grant you freedom." I spoke with bitter laughter as I exhale a plume of smoke. The woman kept their eyes down, scurried around me like shadows. Their silence only deepened the emptiness of the room .

The door creaked open, Father's assistant Linda , a sharp-eyed woman with a permanent scowl, strode in with her clipboard clutched like a weapon. Her voice cut through the room.

" You have to be on the stage in 5 minutes. So better be ready , Miss Azure. No delays ."

" Easy Linda, you're confusing me with Charles . I'm the one being sold here, remember? I drawled exhaling a puff of smoke.

Her jaw tightened she leaned close lowering her tone " You agreed to this. We wouldn't be here if you didn't signed the contract. Mr Azure did everything to save the estate & there you are acting like a spoiled brat ."

I plucked an unopened letter from the vanity clearly sent for me & tore it in half without a second thought. That drat contract, like I had a choice. She knows everything still she's blaming me! I tilted my head studying her with detached curiosity " spoilt brat, you say? " My voice turned syrupy, dangerous "What's so spoilt about me? Smiling while they sell me to the highest bidder ? God Linda,It must be exhausting , running around barking orders like Charlie's lapdog while he hides behind his desk."

" Miss Azure you should.." before the assistant could response, a maid turned on the radio the room filled with chilling news of a serial killer on loose . My lips curled into a smirk.

A mysterious serial killer murder 5 people on San Francisco bay area. The killer sent taunting letters to local press threatening to kill more people of letters were not published on the front page of newspaper

Serial killers are now begging the print media to be relevant . What a shame. Killing someone is not hard I suppose.I stare at Linda. so easy, wouldn't it? Just one quick move—a shove down the grand staircase or a heavy vase from the vanity slammed into her skull.

I let the fantasy play out. The sharp crack of the vase breaking, the way her body would crumple to the floor, blood pooling like spilled ink across the expensive white rug. The maids would scream, Charles would roar.Or a better yet maybe I could bury her ALIVE! I smiled just by the mere thought of it.

" Just this night then you won't have to see my face again " I shrugged " Don't worry ,You won't miss me . I will haunt you in your sleep "

I made my way to the stage as she stared at me Maybe one day, I thought. One day, I would actually follow through on those little fantasies.
