Zabuza and Kakashi's intense clash sent shockwaves through the clearing. Each swing of Zabuza's colossal blade was met with Kakashi's precise counters, the clang of metal against metal echoing through the dense mist.
Sasuke's Sharingan tracked every move, but even with his heightened perception, the speed and ferocity of their exchange left him breathless. So this is the power of a Jonin…
Naruto stood beside Sakura, his knuckles white around the kunai in his grip. "How can anyone be that fast?"
Kakashi slid back, his feet skidding on the water's surface. He steadied himself, his Sharingan glowing with fierce determination. "You're strong, Zabuza. But I won't let you harm my team."
Zabuza grinned wickedly, lifting his sword again. "You're good, Kakashi, but how long can you protect them?"
Kakashi narrowed his eyes. "Long enough."
A New Enemy Appears
Before the battle could escalate, the mist thickened once more. Zabuza paused, glancing over his shoulder.
A soft voice, gentle yet chilling, pierced the silence.
"Zabuza-sama, may I assist?"
A figure materialized from the fog—a slender, masked shinobi with delicate features and hauntingly cold eyes.
Kakashi's gaze sharpened. "Another accomplice?"
Zabuza chuckled. "Meet Haku. My tool and my partner."
Naruto's eyes narrowed. Haku… where have I heard that name before?
Then it clicked—the boy he had met in the forest, the one who spoke about strength and protecting someone precious.
Haku met Naruto's eyes through the mask, the recognition flickering briefly before being replaced by resolve. "Forgive me, Naruto. But for Zabuza-sama's sake, I cannot hold back."
Naruto took a shaky step back. "Y-You're with him?"
Haku didn't answer. Instead, his hands blurred through a series of seals.
Crystal Ice Mirrors!
Mirrors of ice formed a dome around Sasuke and Naruto, each reflecting Haku's image. The inside of the dome glimmered with an ethereal light, trapping them within a deadly maze.
Trapped in Ice
Sasuke's eyes darted around, tracking Haku's reflection in every mirror. "What kind of jutsu is this?"
Haku's voice echoed from all directions. "This is my kekkei genkai, Ice Style. It allows me to move between these mirrors at incredible speeds."
Naruto growled. "So you're just another enemy, huh?"
Haku's gaze softened behind the mask. "In this world, strong opponents are often the kindest souls. But I must protect what is important to me… even if it means taking your lives."
Naruto's grip tightened on his kunai. "I won't let you!"
Before he could react, Haku's form blurred, needles flying toward them from every angle.
Sasuke leapt in front of Naruto, deflecting as many senbon as he could with his kunai. But a few slipped through, grazing his cheek and embedding themselves in Naruto's arm.
"Naruto!" Sasuke shouted.
Naruto winced, but his resolve hardened. "I'm fine! We need to break out of here!"
Sasuke activated his Sharingan, his red eyes darting between the mirrors. I can't track his movements…
A Struggle for Freedom
Outside the dome, Kakashi faced off against Zabuza, their intense battle sending waves crashing around them.
"Kakashi, you can't help them," Zabuza taunted, swinging his sword in a wide arc. "Haku's Ice Mirrors are impenetrable."
Kakashi blocked the attack, gritting his teeth. "We'll see about that."
Inside the dome, Haku continued his relentless assault. Needles flew faster than Naruto or Sasuke could see, embedding in their clothes and skin, draining their strength bit by bit.
Naruto growled. "I won't lose! I can't lose!"
His chakra flared uncontrollably, a red aura beginning to form around him. The air grew thick with pressure, and for a moment, Haku hesitated.
What is this chakra?
Sasuke's eyes widened as he felt the surge beside him. "Naruto…?"
Naruto's eyes flickered crimson, the raw power of the Nine-Tails bubbling to the surface. His wounds began to heal rapidly, steam rising from his body as the chakra enveloped him.
"I won't let you hurt my friends!" he roared, charging forward with newfound speed.
Haku's eyes saddened behind the mask. "I'm sorry, Naruto. But I must finish this."
With a blur of motion, Haku unleashed another volley of needles. But this time, Naruto swatted them away with sheer force, his movements fueled by the Nine-Tails' chakra.
Sasuke, inspired by Naruto's surge, pushed his Sharingan further, his eyes now fully matured. If Naruto can break through… then so can I!
A Flash of Resolve
Haku reappeared in one of the mirrors, his hand trembling slightly. "You both have grown strong… stronger than I anticipated."
Naruto grinned, his eyes blazing with determination. "Believe it! I'll protect everyone—no matter what!"
Sasuke stepped forward, standing shoulder to shoulder with Naruto. "We're not done yet."
Haku closed his eyes briefly, a single tear slipping down his cheek. "Then show me the strength of your bonds."
As the battle raged within the icy prison, the clash between Zabuza and Kakashi intensified. The bridge between light and darkness, compassion and duty, began to blur.
For both Naruto and Sasuke, this fight would become a defining moment—a test of their resolve, their friendship, and their will to protect what they held dear.
