The sound of footsteps echoed down the stairs as Jasper made his way to the dining room. He entered the kitchen area, where the housemaid was busy setting up the table. His mother stood by the counter, preparing breakfast, while his father sat at the table, sipping coffee and reading the morning paper.
Victor glanced up briefly, noticing Jasper. "Morning, son. Finally awake?"
Jasper shrugged as he pulled out a chair and sat down. "Barely. Didn't sleep well."
His mother turned around with a plate of toast and eggs, placing it in front of him. "You should stop staying up so late. It's not healthy, Jasper."
Jasper smirked slightly. "Noted, Mom. I'll consider it... eventually."
Victor folded his newspaper, setting it aside. "You better. You're not a kid anymore. A proper routine wouldn't kill you."
Jasper picked up a slice of toast, biting into it lazily. "You sound like a broken record, Dad. Don't worry, I'm functioning just fine."
His mother sighed, shaking her head as she poured orange juice into a glass for him. "One day, you'll thank us for all this advice."
Jasper glanced at her, smirking. "Sure, one day. Maybe in another lifetime."
Victor chuckled as he grabbed his briefcase, rising from his seat. "Well, I'm off. Don't give your mother too much trouble, and try not to get into any at school."
Jasper waved a hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah. Have a good day, Dad."
Victor patted his shoulder on the way out. Jasper finished his breakfast quickly, grabbed his bag, and headed to the garage to start his motorcycle.
Meanwhile, at School,The homeroom teacher sat at their desk, surrounded by papers and a laptop. A printer in the corner of the room hummed as it printed out sheets of student photos and information, specifically for Jasper's class.
The teacher glanced at the papers, checking the details. These were preparations for an upcoming study tour, and every student's profile needed to be in order.
"Looks like everything's set," the teacher muttered, organizing the sheets into a neat stack. "This trip is going to be... interesting, especially with this class."
The printer beeped, signaling the job was complete. The teacher leaned back in their chair, exhaling. "Let's just hope Jasper doesn't turn it into a disaster."
The scene faded to the school corridors, where students were bustling with chatter and energy as the day began.
In the School Hallway,Jasper walked casually down the school hallway, hands in his pockets, ignoring the usual chaos echoing through the corridors. As he reached his classroom, the noisy chatter and laughter spilled out into the hall. He smirked to himself. "Same old routine," he muttered, stepping inside.
Inside, the class was as loud as ever. Taehyun leaned back in his chair, laughing with Kyung Ho, Min Joo, and Jin Woo.
Taehyun grinned mischievously. "How about we continue that brawl from yesterday? It was just getting started!"
Kyung Ho snickered. "You're still mad they got a cheap shot on you, huh?"
Min Joo laughed, adding, "Yeah, but you're the one who ran first!"
Taehyun threw a crumpled piece of paper at him. "Shut up, Min Joo. You're not off the hook either!"
Before the teasing could escalate, Jun Ho, who had been quietly sitting at his desk, suddenly spoke up. "Hey, did you guys hear? We're going on a study tour tomorrow. It's for a whole week."
The class froze for a moment before bursting into excitement.
"Seriously? A whole week?" one student asked, grinning ear to ear.
Kyung Ho leaned forward, his eyes lighting up. "Does that mean we'll finally get some freedom? Time to have some real fun!"
Another student laughed. "Yeah, let's turn it into a party!"
As the noise grew louder, the sound of the classroom door creaking open suddenly silenced everyone. The air grew tense as the homeroom teacher walked in, holding a stack of papers.
The teacher scanned the room, their gaze sharp as they looked at each student. Slowly, one by one, everyone hurried to their seats, muttering under their breath.
Jasper leaned back lazily in his chair, crossing his arms as he watched the scene unfold. The teacher placed the stack of papers on the desk, their expression unreadable.
"Good morning, class," the teacher said, their tone calm yet firm.
Someone from the back muttered sarcastically, "Yeah, morning to you too."
The teacher's gaze shot in the direction of the voice, and the class collectively held their breath.
Jasper smirked, whispering to Jun Ho, "Looks like things are about to get interesting."
Jun Ho shot him a warning glance. "Don't make it worse, Jasper."
The teacher finally spoke again, holding up one of the papers. "Now, about this study tour..."
Everyone leaned forward, eager to hear more.
During lunch break, Jasper walked to the cafeteria, his usual nonchalant expression plastered on his face. As he passed Kyung Ho and his group, their loud laughter echoed, but Jasper didn't even glance at them. His confidence and indifference always made them uneasy.
Jun Ho, sitting a few tables away, noticed Jasper and instinctively thought about approaching him. However, the moment he took a step closer, Jasper subtly moved further away, clearly avoiding him. Jun Ho sighed, his shoulders slumping slightly.
Jasper grabbed his tray and sat at an empty table, unbothered. He quietly ate his noodles, ignoring the noise around him. Not long after, Jun Ho finally gathered the courage and approached him.
"Hey," Jun Ho said casually, sitting down across from Jasper.
Jasper looked up briefly, his expression annoyed. "What do you want?"
Jun Ho smiled sheepishly. "Just sit for a bit. I won't take up much of your time."
Jasper sighed heavily and put down his chopsticks. "Fine, but make it quick."
Jun Ho leaned in slightly, lowering his voice. "Do you know where the study tour is being held?"
Jasper shrugged. "Not interested."
"Well, let me tell you," Jun Ho said with a smirk. "The place is kind of creepy. Did you know two people went missing there a few years ago? They say there might be a psychopath lurking around."
Jasper narrowed his eyes, clearly irritated. "And what exactly am I supposed to do with that information?"
Jun Ho chuckled nervously. "I thought you'd at least find it interesting. You seem like the type who likes this kind of stuff."
Jasper rolled his eyes and went back to eating his noodles. "I'm not interested in ghost stories or whatever you're trying to tell me."
Jun Ho leaned back, unfazed by Jasper's reaction. "Well, here's the fun part. Our school's study tour building is right next to another school's building."
Jasper raised an eyebrow, slightly intrigued despite himself. "So?"
Jun Ho grinned mischievously. "So, you never know. There might be some drama or interesting people there. Could be fun."
Jasper finished his noodles and stood up, picking up his tray. "Sounds like a waste of time."
Jun Ho called out as Jasper walked away, "You'll see! It might be more interesting than you think!"
Jasper didn't bother responding, leaving the cafeteria without looking back.
