Chapter 15: The Gathering of the Supreme Races
As the Observer opened his eyes, a wave of pressure swept through the room. The rulers of the Titan Race, Titania, and the God Race, Suprema, felt it too, but unlike the others, the weight pressing upon them was insignificant. They remained composed, while the rest of the gathered rulers struggled under the immense force.
Breaking the silence, Titania spoke casually, her voice carrying both amusement and authority.
"Hey, buddy, can you let that Void Ruler go? If we don't take care, he'll collapse before the meeting even starts."
The room fell into dead silence.
Everyone present knew their history—Titania and Suprema were among the only beings who could speak to the Observer without fear. Unlike the rest of the rulers who trembled before him, these two had been his allies for the longest time.
At Titania's words, Suprema simply let out an indifferent ahem, his expression unreadable. He exuded an air of superiority, regarding all races in the room as inferior—save for Titania, the Observer, and the Angel Race. The rest were mere insects in his eyes, not worth his concern.
At Titania's request, the Observer lifted the suffocating pressure that had been weighing down on the Void Ruler, Vorgo. Instantly, Vorgo gasped for air, his chest rising and falling rapidly as he regained his breath. Fear gripped his soul. He dared not even meet the Observer's eyes.
With trembling limbs, Vorgo rose to his feet, bowing deeply toward both the Observer and Titania.
"Thank you… for your mercy," he stammered. "And thank you, Titania, for speaking on my behalf."
Then, without another word, he sat down, vowing to remain silent for the rest of the meeting.
The Observer looked across the gathered rulers, his piercing gaze scanning them one by one. Finally, he spoke.
"As I stated before, Earth has been chosen as the battleground to determine the next Supreme."
His voice echoed with undeniable authority. He let his words settle, eyes lingering on each ruler, waiting to see if any dared to challenge his decision.
His gaze finally landed on the Void King, silently daring him to show even a sliver of defiance.
A shudder ran through Void King's body. Every fiber of his being screamed in terror. He understood with perfect clarity—if he so much as voiced the slightest objection, he would be erased from existence. Not just him, but his entire Void Race would be wiped out.
Silence reigned.
The Observer gave a slow nod, satisfied.
"For over a billion years, I have searched for a worthy Supreme outside of your races," he continued. "That is how some of you came to power. And now, the time has come for the human race to prove itself."
The mention of humans sparked a wave of shock among the rulers.
The Observer let out a quiet chuckle. "The race you all consider insignificant has shown more potential than any before it."
His words sent ripples of astonishment through the assembly. Some rulers exchanged bewildered glances, while others frowned, unwilling to believe such a claim.
Only Titania smiled.
Unlike most, she had never looked down on humans. Beside her, the Supreme God Ruler remained composed. He, too, did not outright despise humanity—he had once been friends with a human. But even so, he had never considered them strong. To him, they were weaklings at best, undeserving of such recognition.
Then, the Black Sphere at the center of the grand table began to glow. A holographic projection flickered to life above it.
It displayed Earth.
Slowly, the view zoomed in, revealing a ranking list—starting from the 10th rank and moving upwards. Various names appeared, including some unranked individuals who showed untapped potential.
Despite their surprise, most rulers still believed that, at best, humanity could reach the 10th rank in the distant future. Nothing more.
But then—
The rankings changed.
Three names appeared.
The 5th Rank: Eric
The 2nd Rank: Celestina
The 1st Rank: Shadow (Real Name: Alex)
The moment their talents were displayed, an eerie silence took over the room.
At first, they examined Eric.
"A Survivor Talent?" one ruler muttered in shock.
Though not ranked highly, the Survivor Talent was something even Mythical Talents had to be wary of. Many rulers nodded in recognition—this was impressive, but not alarming. They had seen other races with similarly formidable talents before.
But when their eyes moved to Celestina—
The room froze.
An oppressive silence settled over the gathering.
They all knew—if Celestina's talent was this shocking, then looking at Alex's talent would be something they did not want to see.
And they were right.
When Alex's Chaos Talent appeared on the screen—
Every single ruler stood up.
Even the strongest among the Titans and Gods were caught off guard.
Chaos.
A power that should not exist in a man.
A power that even the God Race, known for their resilience, could not contain.
And yet—Alex wielded it effortlessly.
This was impossible.
The murmurs erupted into chaos, with rulers speculating, plotting, and trying to comprehend what they had just witnessed.
But before the noise could spiral out of control—
Luna, the Observer's Right Hand, spoke.
"Silence. Take your seats."
Her command wasn't directed at the Titans or Gods, but even they obeyed, sensing the gravity of the situation.
The Observer looked over the assembly once more.
"This race that you call inferior," he said slowly, his voice filled with something beyond authority, "has everything I have sought for over a billion years—long before most of you were even born."
Then, the screen changed again.
A new figure appeared.
A man cloaked in shadows.
Though his face was not fully hidden this time, his identity was unmistakable.
Noah.
The reaction was instant.
Expressions shifted. Some rulers looked shocked, others apologetic, and some… some pitying the Observer himself.
The Titan Ruler, watching the Observer's reaction, smirked and said,
"So… it's your brother again."
The room turned to ice.
The God Ruler playfully smacked the Titan's head. "Stop spouting nonsense."
The Titan grinned, unfazed. "What? Am I wrong?"
A heavy silence filled the chamber.
The Observer's gaze darkened.
"You all know… what happened in the era of the Supreme Fall," he said, his voice low yet carrying the weight of the past.
Everyone shuddered.
Even Titania and Suprema felt a cold chill down their spines.
They remembered.
The cost of that battle.
The sacrifices made to remove Chaos from its previous host without destroying the entire universe.
And now, Noah…
Noah was trying to repeat history.
The Observer's decision was clear.
"The battle will accelerate. Shadow must become stronger before he meets the lowest path."
And when he reaches Level 100…
I will take him to that place.
The true battlefield.
The rulers sat in stunned silence.
Many felt jealousy.
Others felt fear.
For the first time in eons—
The Supreme Battle was beginning for real.
